The bed was extremely comfortable!!! ❤️❤️❤️. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. I loved that you had two sets of bathroom linens, it was just enough for our two night stay. We will definitely be back and staying with you again in the future. Also, we have several friends that visit Helen GA, and your facility will be highly recommended to them.

Very convenient, we could walk everywhere and it was right next to the river. It was much nicer than expected.

I don’t have anything bad to say about the motel and our stay. I will say that the woman who checked us in was very rude. She was on the phone and didn’t bother to acknowledge me at all. When she finally got off of the phone, she again neglected to even acknowledge. I was there and another phone line rang and she picked it up and answered it only to remark how rude it was that the person on the other hung up on her. She then looked at me and said “yes?”. The woman who later replaced her was very helpful and very sweet.

Laurie was rude! Banging on the door at 11:00 am saying we are to leave, check out is 11. But we paid when we arrived for 2 nights! Tried to tell her that but she made us feel like we were lying. When she found out we were right not even a sorry.

Was a great location.

The internet was bad. The tv was buffering a lot while watching. Need better internet service. This will determine if I stay in the future.

The location was great for walking all over town, and just far enough off the main road to not be right in the middle of everything. It was a very quaint looking building. The outside is showing its age just a little, but the rooms have been updated and were very nice, and clean. There’s no elevator so getting luggage up the flights of stairs is not real easy, but we made it. I didn’t get her name, but the young lady at check in was very nice. The parking pass is good until midnight the day you check out, so if you still have things you want to do you do y have to go somewhere else and pay for parking, that’s very nice!

I absolutely love the rooms. They are very modern and up-to-date. It was right by the river, so it was perfect. The property is cute and quaint. There weren’t very much noise from the customers.

So my husband had written in their request that it was my birthday we don’t want any special, but he thought at least I would be surprised if the front desk clerk just wish me happy birthday, which was not even acknowledge which is not even the problem. It’s OK but why put a request if you’re not gonna read it and then the morning desk clerk was just so rude. I don’t know what her problem was. She’s the only thing that set me off about our stay.

There were a lot more items available for the continental breakfast than I expected. I didn’t care for the coffee, but there are a couple coffee shops close by. The location was perfect! We were able to walk to the shops and several restaurants, which kept us from paying for parking. Being able to relax by the river in the swings was also a nice bonus!

The mattresses were VERY firm, which is not my preference. Definitely needed better curtains to block the outside lights at night. I didn’t sleep well during our stay and looked forward to returning to my comfy mattress in my dark bedroom at home.

Loved the location. Right on the river and just a short walk into town. So quiet, as it's kind of a dead end at the river. Even with the wind and the fact we're seniors, no problem walking into town center. Every staff member we encountered was warm and genuinely attentive. Bed was very comfortable. Grounds were immaculate, and the room was also very clean. Extremely well lit after dark. Nice swings at the river's edge, even has designated swing for handicapped with concrete right up to the swing for easy transfer. Even though the property is not new, it appears to be very well-maintained with updated amenities in the rooms. Also, the parking pass was good all day until midnight of check-out day, which was handy for shopping and eating on our last day.

This was not really a problem for us, but we did book a handicapped accessible room due to bad knees. Due to being right on the river, the first floor was one flight up from the ground. The ramp is extremely steep (guessing 18-25% angle). We managed it, but a person in a manual chair would have trouble without assistance. Also, the roll/walk-in shower and bathroom floor were very slippery when wet. We put towels down and had no trouble. I just wanted to mention it for anyone who might be renting to keep in mind. This was by no means a deal breaker for us. We were in room 112.

It’s right by the river with swings to sit and enjoy the peaceful river. It’s a close walking distance to town yet far enough away from the hustle/noise of town. We went during Oktoberfest so the bars (music, people yelling) can be loud into the night.

Close to river. Clean, Renovated rooms. It’s an adorable mom & pop kind of motel. Staff was very nice. Good accommodations, coffee, soap, towels. Microwave, refrigerator. The only things that we didn’t like: we had a nice big king bed but the mattress was so firm it felt like sleeping on a board. We asked for a room on a quiet end of hotel in our reservation and was told we could get that but got a room right next to the ice machine . The tv had bad signal. We tried to watch a movie on Netflix and it kept buffering. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

great location and on the river. 500’ (maybe less) to the center of the action in Helen. clearly an older property but well maintained and well appointed rooms for the price. plenty of swings/tables along the river and hibachis.

not so much a complaint but an observation. there are no garbage cans along the river, despite signs saying to clean up after yourself (there is one at the corner of the building however). I would recommend adding one or two cans so so people that have no manners wont put their garbage in the hibachis—maybe?
