Great value for money, considering the generally inflated accommodation prices in the vicinity, particularly in Andermatt proper. Here you can stay for a reasonable price and the connection to Andermatt is quite reasonable -- 5 minutes walk from the train station + 10 minutes train ride (every half hour) if you like public transport. The parking is right in front of the hotel and has plenty of space, so car works fine too. Staff is friendly and unobtrusive. We haven't tried the private saunas, but that sounds like a nice touch, and again great value for money. Breakfast is good, there is not as much variety as in fancier hotels, but it does the job. Dinner is also good quality and affordable.

The building is relatively old, so be sure to bring your slippers -- the floor is rather cold. WiFi required signing in every day or two.Limited hot breakfast options, some days there were scrambled eggs, but mostly just hard boiled ones -- good enough for my tastes, but keep it in mind if you are picky about your breakfast.

The hotel is well located in the village close to the railway station. The parking is just outside the hotel and there is plenty of space parking. The staff is very service minded and friendly. The hotel breakfast was good but missing the scrambled eggs were not available each day. Our room was spacious with a spacious bathroom.

The mattress in the bed quite soggy. The skiroom was not idealy located at the first floor so changing to ski gear was a bit cumbersome. Soundproofing not so good. Could hear people chatting about and snooring.

We were choosing a hotel for a mini break, long weekend to ski in the neighbouring Andermatt. It is 10 minutes away from the slopes and it was perfect for us. The room size for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) was excellent. Beds were comfortable and warm, very clean room. The restaurant had excellent food at reasonable prices. It treated us very well and offered free breakfasts to the kids (5 and 7 y.o.). Plenty of parking outside. Will definitely consider this hotel again for our stay in the future.

The ski room (dryer) was not operational, but there was not that many people in the hotel, so maybe it was just forgotten to be switched on. But the radiators in the room worked wonders. :-)

Great location - just outside Andermatt but better value for money (although still expensive by other European country standards). Good to have free parking. Staff so friendly and restaurant served lovely hearty food - perfect after a big hike. If you stay here you MUST go walk at Goshenensee - so beautiful.

Decor was clean but felt rather dated and needed a bit of TLC. Restaurant pretty much the only one in the village so you have to get there early and can't just sit and have a drink on the terrace as it's all reserved (this was summer). Compared with France and Italy, very expensive (but I think that's Switzerland in general).

- Good location for motorcyclists and other visitors planning to drive to Furk,a, Susten and the other passes in the area. Staying just a bit away from Andermatt helps save some money if you're only looking for a basic overnight stay - Ample parking - Helpful hosts with clear explanation of self check in on Monday/Tuesday

- Was not a problem for me but the restaurant is mostly closed on Mon/Tuesday with limited options in the area if arriving at an odd time - Compared to other places, price was alright given Switzerland is simply.. costly. However, , it is still quite expensive given the basic accommodation in the room

The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from Andermatt downtown but there is still a small COOP supermarket just opposite to the hotel. If you like hiking, it is a good starting point to walk around the nearby mountains or to the famous Devil's Bridge where you could see waterfalls and an amazing stream.

Nothing but in case you drive through the challenging Oberalpstrasse especially in snowy condition, it is really a challenge to some drivers with little experience driving around high mountain roads with so many sharp bends. Please also note that the hotel restaurant closes on Monday and Tuesday so please plan ahead for your dinner in case you stay in these weekdays.

Convenient location for an overnight stay near Andermatt. The hotel is clean, has a lift, a ski room, sauna (booking in advance and extra payment required). The double bedroom was comfortable, had a TV, a table with 2 chairs, was very warm (possible to adjust the heater as needed).

One could hear noise coming from other rooms (kids), the slot for using the sauna must be booked in advance and incurs an additional 10 CHF/pp price, the breakfast also is at an additional cost.

Very clean & comfortable. Nothing fancy about the room but that’s fine. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The shower pressure was great. The staff at breakfast & dinner were very welcoming. Even though we couldn’t speak German, they coached us through it with a smile. The wine & food were delicious. We highly recommend if you need a comfortable place in the area.

Great location, not far from the resort and the shop. The room was warm. There is a place to park the car. The breakfast is delicious.

I pre-paid for my stay and I had a room with breakfast, but at the reception I was told that I had to pay for breakfast as well as the tourist tax (all together plus another 33 francs), this is not right somehow!

This is a nice village hotel in Goschenen where we stopped on our way to Andermatt. Despite we being late just passed mid night, the lady in the reception stayed back till we arrive. She helped us with our our check-in and also showed the nice cozy public gathering place in the hotel with a wood fire burner for us to have a quick wine. This was an exceptional atmosphere with great internal decor and right warmth. Hotel provided a decent breakfast spread as there were not many restaurants around the village. Overall we had a very good homely experience at this hotel and not to forget the hospitality of the reception lady.

There are no restaurants operating in Goschenen including the hotel after 23.00hrs. Hence please take your dinner early.
