A great base from which to explore Obidos and surrounding area: walkable to the walled town and easy accessibility to other nearby attractions / destinations. The apartment, Casa Leonor, was charming; quaintly decorated and fitted with all the required amenities and a kitchenette adequate for preparing light meals / snacks. We very much enjoyed the attached, covered terrace - wonderful views and a lovely spot to relax in the evenings. The entire property is welcoming, well maintained and peaceful. Our host was welcoming, informative and responsive to all communications and our encounters with all members of staff were positive. We opted to have breakfast at the property, served family style in a gracious dining room in the main building, which we enjoyed and it was nice to interact and share conversations with fellow guests.

A lovely period 'Casa' of character, with sitting rooms we could use, including one with a billards/pool table. Rooms were no surprise old-fashioned but clean and comfortable. The owner/manager was lovely, and provided us pool towels even though it was late and a bit cool for more than a brief dip in the unheated pool - it would have been excellent for lazy afternoons. It's a mile from the famous and popular hill-top town of Obidos, so straightforward to walk there and enjoy that location, sights and restaurants - there are a couple of places to eat nearer but we didn't try them (just on night stopover).

Nothing - it was exceptional.

A beautiful old manor house with incredible views of Obidos castle and walls. The setting outside of town, surrounded by gardens, was wonderful. Our room was spacious, bed was comfortable, bathroom the same. Staff were friendly and always offering to help or get us anything we needed. Breakfast was amazing! We were overwhelmed by all the choices laid out on the tables: cereals, fruits, fresh-squeezed juice, meats, cheeses, baskets of breads and croissants, jams and eggs (hard-boiled and scrambled!). The walled town is walkable but we didn't take the path as it rained both of our days there. Ample parking on the grounds. one of our most enjoyable stays on our three-week Portugal trip!

Great quiet place to relax with excellent interiors, well maintained territory, garden and swimming pool. Big spacious rooms, presumably much bigger than what you can get in tiny houses if central Óbidos. Short walk to Óbidos and great views over Óbidos castle. Delicious breakfast in a luxurious dining room of the house. Parking. Play house with toys for kids in the garden.

Dining room can’t fit all the guests together because of its size. Guests get assigned a time slot for breakfast (8:30am or 9:30am), which reduces flexibility and may not be convenient. Rooms in the main building feel more exceptional and luxurious than houses next to the main building - and cost less! Guests staying in the houses do not have breakfast included and in the evening they can’t access the main building because it is locked after 8:00pm (but you can ask for a key).

Spacious apartment with backyard and easy access to the pool, tennis court, and billiard table. A nice quiet residence to land for our first few days in Portugal while we adjusted to the new timezone. While concerned about not having air conditioning we found the apartment to be quite cool once the windows were open and we were able to get good airflow.

The overall charm of the facility more than made up for any real concerns, but if we were staying for a longer period of time the overhead kitchen space, master bedroom bed mattress, and unstable tennis court surface at the one end are areas for attention.

It was so relaxing and peaceful. The Casa was gorgeous, the grounds were beautiful and the pool was a great treat. The apartments were so lovely. It was like staying at my grandmother's place. Definitely recommend it to anyone.

The kitchen was not as equipped as I would have liked but that is only because we cooked a lot. They did have all you need for breakfast and light lunches.

We stayed at the superior room with 2 little kids. Room- the beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, the kids loved their beds in the upper gallery floor. we really enjoyed spending time in the garden, taking a dip at the pool- it was ideal for the kids. Breakfast was incredible, large variety and everything was fresh.

some of the chairs were a little old an squaky, the room was generally clean but one of us was allergic to dust and could sense that the place was a little dusty. probably related to all the nice antique and vintage elements in the room.

I like the common area (living room), breakfast, garden, tennis court and swimming pool, and they accommodated my last minute late check out. Super friendly staff and nice, classic place! You got to meet some other guests and converse with them.

It’s a small place farther from the old town. When you get back late, you may be scared to be in a haunted house with little light!

Beautiful old house with ample parking. Breakfast was served around one large dining table. Great variety and fresh food. Beautifully decorated and well preserved and takes you back a hundred years. Obidos was a 5 minute drive away.

On a Sunday, most of the restaurants in the area were closed. So had to drive to the old town for dinner. Lots of options though.

Everything was perfect: beautiful house, beautiful rooms decorated with taste. The whole building smelt good. The breakfast was fantastic, everything was fresh. The staff super friendly. The pool area was clean and quiet. We loved the billiard room. The house is a 10min walk from Obidos; very practical as you do not need to take the car to the village.

Nothing. We enjoyed our stay every much.
