I lived here in my teenage years and I only live 2 minutes away from the Boathouse so this was a surprise for my wife who thought we were just going for an anniversary meal. The staff were so helpful to keep the surprise going and following a superb evening meal my wife was shocked to discover we were staying overnight and the room overlooking the broads was my old bedroom. The room has a superb view is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bathroom, shower, bath are all a decent size and we had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is additional cost but very nice with another stunning view of the broads.
Toast would have been nice at breakfast but we have nothing really to complain about.

Fantastic property with all the comforts of home. There was plenty of room for us as a family of 4 with a 20 and 15 year old who need their own space. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were able to cook our own breakfast each morning. The price was amazing value and we will definitely be back again as we love the Broads and everything Norfolk has to offer.
We only had a few minor issues in an otherwise amazing stay. The bathroom was not great. The shower is poor and the sink is tiny which results in water all over the floor when you wash your face. It also smelt a bit funky which is due to the damp. In the smallest bedroom with the bunk beds there are no sockets or drawer space and the light switch is outside the door. My daughter was a bit frustrated that she couldn’t charge her phone in the room. Other then that we loved it.

The location was excellent, with loads of free parking. Very relaxing and with no noise. The lodge was bigger than expected and the beds comfortable. The restaurant food was very good.
The electrics were difficult to understand and seemed to have a mind of their own at times. Sensor light switches in the bathrooms would stay on for ages at times and at others, switch off after a short period. Not helpful when showering! We never did discover how to switch on one of the main lights. Didn't cook, so no issue to us. The breakfasts were generally good but took a long time coming, with not a great number of diners. Some of the full English had been overcooked.

A perfect and peaceful location right beside the water, the lodge was warm and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and en-suite bathroom for the main bedroom. We were a party of 8 and even one of the bunk beds was a double, very comfortable and lovely fresh white linen. Convenient parking very close but a car free area around the lodges made it nice and quiet, just a few ducks wandering around to remind us how close to nature we were. Plenty of parking close by and of course the Boathouse pub is 1 minute walk away.

We did not have a breakfast but had evening meals on all occasions apart from Monday, when kitchen is closed. We were still provided with a list of local ‘eateries’ as an alternative. All meals excellent. Good quality, great service. Situation superb, great views. Well situated for touring.
The shower door did not shut properly so soaked the bathroom floor. This was partially rectified by just placing a bath towel against the flow. Unfortunately, on first morning the cleaning was not completed in the bathroom so the wet towels were still on the floor when returning to the room. This was no big deal though, as we simply asked asked and were provided with extra towels.

Second stay at the Boathouse, but first time in a lodge. Enjoyed having more room in the lodge. The location is good, not too far from things to see and do up and down the coast and on the Broads. Enjoyed the ducks and even saw a hedgehog returning home to its nest under one of the lodges early in the morning. We did not have breakfast this time, but I remember it was good. We did have a lovely dinner one evening. The fish medley was very tasty.
The TV was very small and the sofas weren't very comfortable.

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The room was absolutely gorgeous with a breathtaking view. I also loved the fact that there was a play park as part of the hotel for our son. The bath in our room was also huge, so I enjoyed making the most of that! The drinks options in the bar were fantastic and very reasonably priced. The staff even made us a selection of sandwiches to order because the restaurant was closed during our stay.
The room could've done with a little more cleaning. There were some cobwebs and bits in the bath. Although I enjoyed having a bath there, the sensor lights kept going off whilst I was in the bath. I don't know if there was a way to turn the sensor off, but I couldn't figure it out. There was also a back missing to one of the remotes, which was concerning trying to keep it away from our toddler so he didn't get to the batteries. It was a shame that the restaurant wasn't open during our stay and it would've been nice to know about this during the time of booking.

Gorgeous location with views over the Broads, fab.
It is a converted boathouse and the rooms are comfortable, but small, and same with the Bed (but this also a Uk thing vs Europe, with the beds on the small side). A tiny additional comment on breakfast (paid separately), which is a bit straight forward with good cooked food but tea and coffee from big thermos (DIY), it woudl be great to have had some fruit or yoghurt available as well.

Perfect location for a couple of nights away within easy reach of the local coast beaches. Lovely room, split over two levels, with lots of space in a downstairs lounge area. View over the broad. Sunday Roast in the restaurant was excellent and breakfast was exceptional - in my top 2 ever. Staff were great, polite and very helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.
Blind needed in the Bathroom. If we were staying longer then a chest of drawers would have been nice and some more hangers.

Most everything. Great location, nice people, comfortable well equipped establishment, and the food was very good. Loved my food, balsamic and olive oil with breads - balaamic was thick and fruity abd really yummy. Had the seafood medley for mains and that was delicious too. Nb house red was very drinkable.
The service was slow at times. We booked a table for 5.30, had nibbles, main and coffee (plus drinks during meal). Meal ended after 8.00. Two young children so they were a bit tired by then. The coffee wasn’t to the same standard as the rest of the meal.
