It was indeed an interesting room in a pretty surprising building. The staff was there during the day and they seemed friendly. The instructions for entering the building were clear even though nobody from the staff wasn’t there when we arrived. The shared spaces were cleaned every day. The location it’s not far from the city center, but there are some stairs to walk, wich, in my opinion, it’s part of the beauty of the city. There are some parking spots nearby and they are marked with blue wich means you need to pay for them only during the day. The room is clean, comfortable and it has everything you need.

The only thing that I would change it’s the shower cabin that is a little too small and maybe it needs a little improvement.

The hostel located in the very interesting historic building. For us the location was very good, 10-15min and you are at the city’s most important road where you can start exploring Genova. Hostel neighbourhood was also worth exploring. Supermarket and nice restaurant pizza funicolare (which we can recommend) just across the street. We have arrived quite late around 21 and left next day around 10am and never saw anyone from the staff- (you get the instructions and code to enter via whatsapp)some will say that it’s a plus :) generally the place was clean and share bathroom was also clean.

-touchpad at the entrance door working really bad and may cause problems - in the bathroom there is missing something to wipe your hands with - there was no soap at the sink and people were getting it from the container in the shower of they wanted to wash hands

The location of these apartments are wonderful. If you want to explore the city without too much hassle - these apartments are the best. Also, if you want to taste some wonderful Italian pizza, the place called "Pizzeria La Funiculare" offers some amazing choices - we really liked it.

It isn't associated with the apartments per se, but when we first came to Genova, we didn't see that there were funiculars, that take you up the hills of the city. So beware, when coming, that there are two of them - one, closer to the central Genovan station, called Funiculare Zecca-Righi, and one, closer to the center of the city, called Funicolare Sant'Anna Portello. The first one is very convenient for firstly reaching the apartments, and the second, as you might've guessed - to reaching the city center. Use them! Don't underestimate the incline of the city, because we did and it wasn't very pleasant.

The room and facilities were very clean. We had privacy even though it was a shared bathroom and kitchen. The property is a bit away from the main part of the city so it felt safer and quieter ( except for the motorcycles at all times). Beautiful and well-maintained property for being an old building. The lady cleaning the place was very helpful and nice. The funiculars and elevators were fun and useful, making being way up the hill worthwhile!

There seemed to be cameras everywhere and we felt like we were being watched. The towels were very smelly like mildew, probably because they sit in the washer overnight and then are dried too close together on a drying rack- it seemed like a dose of bleach on occasion would take care of that problem, or using a dryer.

An interesting property, rather unusual, like no other I stayed so far. Other guest seem to be interesting people too.

Check-in procedure (getting in the apartment) was rather odd. Luckily another guest helped me to get in at the end. Shower cabin in the smallest I ever saw in my life. There was enough space to make a proper shower cabin in the other (larger) bathroom, remains a mystery why didn't they do it that way. Coffee was supposed to be paid 1e, but when I asked for it, it wasn't available.

Extremely spacious and super clean room! Private bathroom! TV and strong Wi-Fi signal. Large main bed. Clean bedsheets. Owner was very communicative and helpful. Good location, 5 minutes walk to Spianata Castelletto Just 1 minute walk to grocery store and restaurant (Pizzeria La Funicolare). Bus station in front of the building (No.36 will take you to Piazza Principe station in about 10 minutes).

Mold in the shower corner! That's not acceptable. The rest of private bathroom was super clean. No shower gel in the shower. No air conditioning and heating was off in November. Second bed has squeaky frame. Lack of glasses in kitchen. Small fridge. A bit noisy from outside (close to main road) and other guests can be heard when walking inside the appartment corridor.

I didn’t see the staffs personally but they’re always responsible and helpful on WhatsApp. The room was clean and had enough space.

On the first day, it was difficult to reach from the central station because I didn’t know how to get a bus ticket and had a suitcase. After figuring out how to get the bus, it was fine. There are some free lifts and cable cars so you don’t have to go up all the stairs in the city.

The room is very nice, big and spacious. The bathroom and kitchen were clean. It is well located; close to one of the main lift taking you to the city centre.

Check in wasn't very smooth. The instructions were not clear. Also the city tax charges were not correct as kids dont have to pay. Anyway the host was responsive and we didnt have to pay them.

The house was intresting and fascinating! The entrance, the corridors and all the big windows, for example. It was quite an experience, so I would recommend to stay there by that reason itself. Also it was overall very clean.

There was no proper air conditioning, only two mini fans, but we managed. Also good to note that in order to get to the property, you probably have to climb a lot of stairs and hills. We did not mind tho.

The building is very pretty and the room was very big with nice decoration. The place in general is ok. There are two bathrooms and a kitchen to be used by the guests. Also the wifi is good.

The complete lack of staff makes everything a bit difficult. Specially the fact that they ask you to send via whatsapp a picture of your ID to give you access to the building. Also there was no coffee neither tea
