The hotel is safe, well maintained and for a 3* hotel, i would rate the the services up to 5*.

Perhaps the menu card should be enhanced with more varities of dishes

The location of the property and it's view of the mountain, especially at night was amazing. The staff at the restuarant were so friendly & accommodating and definitely brought a awesome vibe to the place.

If u follow the directions on the site, it takes you to the other Protea Hotel that is close-by so it causes confusion sometimes.

We loved the view out of our window, the room service, the soft and warm beds and and the bathroom, especially the spacious shower. It was a tastefully decorated room. The chicken burger and sweet potato fries we ordered from room service were delicious. The menu had a wide range of options, which was good.

There could have been more options on the DSTV package for the room, especially for kids. My 5-year-old niece was along for the trip and there was nothing for her to watch. The sweet potato fries we ordered during our sit-down dinner were really oily. There could have been more spots for us to charge our phones, perhaps close to the beds.

View of the city is fabulous. Bed is so comfy I did not want to leave my room!!!! Food was delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Some of the menu items are very little and expensive, but tastes great. Maybe put a few less expensive items on the menu and get a breakfast menu other than the buffet breakfast. Everybody does not want to eat a big breakfast and would prefer just something small.

No fridge in the room - it was not stipulated clearly that there was no fridge. With hotels coming with mini bar fridges it’s expected and I shouldn’t have to look and ask if it comes with a fridge (but I certainly will ask at every hotel now). For a fridge, we’d have to move rooms and pay extra. The restaurant was very slow.

The was nothing I didn’t love about the place. The room was beautiful, clean comfortable. The staff was amazing, caring and understanding. Really it felt like I was in a 5star accommodation. My God the food 😭 the food was exceptional. And the ladies serving us were amazing. From the moment we arrived till we left, from the reception are till the security. It was all so amazing. I don’t give out compliments easily but I was impressed. Great service died during covid. This was so refreshing, to have it back again. It really made me feel like the world was going back to normal.

I didn’t like that I had to leave 😭😭😭😭. I feel like I had to leave the home I loved to come back to my real home. I really hated that!

The property is situated on a great location and the buildings, grounds and rooms are well maintained. Most of the staff were also very friendly. Excellent view of Table Mountain from the bar.

Breakfast buffet was very good with a wide variety but a little expensive at R230 per person. The rest of the menu was unspectacular and in general overpriced.

Beautiful, safe venue with all the amenities. We were well received; efficient, caring and friendly staff all round.

A bar fridge would be a great addition to the room for longer stays. A complimentary cider was kindly available on arrival, to consider offering a softdrink as an alternative for those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages.

Wonderful destination of entertainment and relaxing mood for the loving families and couple and it's a place to be when you need to rest after hard work for the whole year.

My room had no bar fridge and I hope in future our room should be provided with one and I believe that when I came back next year it will provided in rooms.

Central location close to main routes

Noisy at night, public on other side of perimeter fence…. Don’t think staff could resolve the problem. Room service tray’s not removed timeously.. returned to room to find fellow guest’s used tray at our entrance - we stayed at the end of corridor. Had to call reception to remove.
