This property is in good location

I don't like that at night there is no staff available to help, on our first night in this property we went out with my friends, came back at around 22:30 only to find out that our access card was not working, we had to stay outside the room for an hour with no help available.

We Found Our Home Away from Home at The Jewel! Ansu, the manager, and her excellent team truly made our stay special. They went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Their exceptional service and attention to detail were impressive and made our stay truly unforgettable. We recently spent 5 nights at this lovely B&B (a truly luxury boutique hotel) in Cape Town's winelands, and it truly felt like our home away from home. Our room was super comfy, with crisp white bedding, and the patio area was ideal for chilling out with a glass of wine and chatting with other guests. The common areas were also ideal and inviting, making it easy to relax and socialize. We also enjoyed the daily breakfast, which was good and offered enough variety. One thing to note: the pool was under maintenance during our stay, but the cool weather made it perfect timing for it - we didn't miss it at all. Instead, we explored the surrounding wineries and attractions. The Jewel's location is perfect. The proximity to wineries and great restaurants is amazing! And, it's just a short drive to all the major attractions and landmarks of Cape Town. Inside parking is available with previous reservation, a great perk to have. Be sure to book ahead to secure a room, as this gem is sure to fill up quickly! We'd definitely recommend The Jewel to anyone looking for a relaxed stay in Cape Town. It's a lovely place to unwind. PS. The property looks just like the pictures on booking.

Patio furniture needs a little attention (just striving for perfection 🤦‍♂️).

This place is clean with friendly and professional staff, From cleaners to the owner. it’s in a very peacefully area, well secured. The breakfast was delicious and well prepared.. It’s close to many wine tasting farms and malls. Quite far from V&A Waterfront, the beach and Atlantic dunes. Be prepared to spend on petrol or Ubers if you will visit these places. Nevertheless IT A MUST VISIT. I highly recommend it.

Two things I did not like: 1. The Room we were in, it is not indicated here that deluxe room is a studio with a toilet that has no door. It was very uncomfortable to use the toilet while someone was in the room. Looking at the pictures on the option they are misleading. Please look at it. 2. We had a problem with the wine cooler, it was not working, even if you put one cider on it. Completely not working instead it was making it hot not sure if it’s because of the sunlight from the roof as it directly to it. See you soon..

My recent stay at The Jewel was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and made to feel right at home. The hospitality extended to us was truly heartwarming, and we can't thank Ansu enough for making our stay so memorable. The accommodation itself was modern & beautiful, with attention to detail that truly set it apart. The packed breakfast provided was not only delicious but also incredibly convenient, making our mornings a breeze. It's the little touches like this that made our stay so special, mainly because Ansu didn’t have to do it but opted to offer that service to us as we had to leave early everyday. I can't wait to return for another stay. The tranquil atmosphere, the impeccable service, and the overall experience has left a lasting impression on us.

Everything about the B&B was perfect. The location is tranquil, relaxing, a place to unwind and get out of the city but yet accessible to all necessities. The host, Ansu was very friendly and did everything to ensure my stay was comfortable. She advised on places of interest I could visit and all was worth it. My vacation seemed too short as I could not cover all there is in the Cape. Looking forward to visiting again soon 😊.

Not much variety on the breakfast menu. But again it's understandable considering it's a B&B with a limited number of guests.

The bnb is really one of a kind, having stayed in so many bnbs before i must say this is top of the list. Its located outside of town and you would have to do a lot of traveling to get to main attractions but that was part of the plan its sooo refreshing. The staff too are soo helpful and polite always a smile on their faces.

The heat 🔥. No toilet door in the regent room. Im sure it will be put up

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed (Queen room) was large and spacious. Breakfast was good. We felt at ease.

The pool was unfortunately under maintenance for the entire week of our stay and we did not get access to it. Durbanville is a bit far from the city but close to the Durbanville wine farms and to Stellenbosch.

Very contemporary and stylish. We stayed in the King room which opens out onto the swimming pool. It was spacious with a huge bathroom and more than ample storage. There were plenty of sockets with good location near mirrors - perfect for ladies to dry their hair, etc. Ansu was the perfect host and provided us with lots of useful information and couldn’t have been more helpful.

The venue was exceptional, the host very accommodating. Lovely breakfast served each morning. Lovely large bedroom with open ensuite. Safe car parking, access and egress. Shame weather was poor, as grounds and pool area were fantastic.

Not having a door on the toilet in the bedroom. Having to get out of bed to turn lights off (however, maybe I did not understand the lighting?)
