Friendly and supportive staff.

Linen seemed not to be clean, had a stain on linen. WiFi not the best, on regular intervals it was off. Shower head faulty.

I recently stayed at The Ascot Hotel for 2 weeks. I was visiting South Africa after living in the United States for many years. The hotel is absolutely OUTSTANDING in every possible way. It is a delightful boutique hotel, clean, safe, with OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!! I have stayed at many hotels throughout the world, and NONE compare in terms of the service, kindness, and hospitality. Susan at the front desk is amazing, always with a gorgeous smile, and always asking me about my day and if there was anything she could do for me. She is WONDERFUL!. I had the MOST interaction with Sibusiso at the front desk since he worked mostly in the day. He is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I cannot speak highly enough of him. The Ascot Hotel is so fortunate to have him on their staff. He went ABOVE and BEYOND to make my stay ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBlE. His service was SUBERB!. His smiling wonderful disposition BRIGHTENED EACH and every day. He could not do enough for me, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wanting to make sure my stay was great. I will alway stay at The Ascot because of him, and will recommend the Ascot to all my family and friends in the United States, as I absolutely know he will make their stay incredible. Thank you SO MUCH Sibusiso for all your kindness and for making my stay amazing. If I EVER opened a hotel, I would hire you in a HEARTBEAT to run it. The hotel was outstanding. I loved everything.

Staff are wonderful in every way. Great Service. They are - each staff member - individually - so warm, helpful, kind and attentive. From the manageress to the cleaning staff - to the gentleman who runs the restaurant / bar. They go the extra mile. The same can't be said for the owner - who is unavailable at his discretion and lacked the basic courtesy to return my numerous messages after I had done him - and by extension the hotel - a complex analysis and a solution in restructuring the hotels WiFi Network - having initially shown such delight in what I had proposed - at no cost - only to ignore me completely after submitting a detailed plan as to its exact implementation. An initial discussion about my tweaking the entire Wi-Fi infrastructure and an offer of additional 'extra' days of stay as a thank you - unfortunately - was not forthcoming and my attempts to reach him personally were ignored. Putting that unappreciated and lack of basic ethics aside - I must honestly admit that the staff, accommodation position, cleanliness and wonderful service are worth only praise and a definite +++++ - so much so - I have returned a second time for a week's stay here again.

The staff oh my God, there a guy at the reception his customer service is top tear, he is bubbly and welcoming he is actually the reason for me extending my stay. He gave 5 star treatment. His customer services is something you will never experience at "The palace" or even "Saxon hotel "

No breakfast buffet

A beautiful place to stay. very helpful staff.

Power cuts. The hotel should have a solar system for lights and charging gadgets, at least for its guest. They only provided proper lighting for the people at the bar while the passage and rooms were dark, this would also disconnect the Wi-Fi meaning for the hours the power is off the guest do not have access to the Wi-Fi.

The price value for money,it has comfortable big beds three people can sleep on one bed. Nice capets and balcony.good service rendered by employees they are friendly and patient.

I did not like that the wardrope door in the bedroom was not fixed as it does not close.and it did not have a kettle,no tv remotes on the bedroom with living room.a lot of people smoke drugs around that neighbourhood area.it does not have backup on the guests rooms.(loadshedding affect travelers)

The accommodation is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, close to restaurants and shops. The area is safe

I didn’t like their underground parking. But needed up parking on the street because it’s safe, there’s cameras everywhere and there security company that patrols day and night

The environment is safe and clean. The staff is friendly, the linen is always neat and clean.

When it's load shedding there is no electricity in the rooms. You can't call for assistance when needed, you have to go downstairs when you require assistance.

Best Service Ever friendly staff and a very beautiful reception Receptionists went above and beyond to make us comfortable regrettably I couldn't tip her or thank her as she was off duty when I checked out

Basement parking is a little steep to go down needs a refurbish and some better lighting

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious. Pictures are as advertised. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room was clean. We requested parking, which was provided so we didn't have to park on the street. There is a generator on the premises which only covers the main lobby, reception and bar. However the staff was kind enough to supply us with emergency lights.

Just a suggestion, that the hotel considers upgrading their generator so that it covers the hotel rooms as well.
