If the main road through town was not torn apart, I would have been a bit happier. The staff were all very kind. bedding was acceptable. The restaurant is a very short walk away and has good food and drink at fair prices. The easy walk to the lake is also quite nice.

I would have liked vending machines. When traveling, it's nice to have snacks nearby. Also, when traveling, I like to have ice cream at the end of the day. No vending machines or ice cream. There is room for machines or an ice cream cooler. I'd imagine these machines would be a nice source of added income to the bottom line. With that being said, I'd stay here again.

The location and views of the lake were superb. The people were very friendly and accommodating.

Had a little problem with original room and had to be moved to a different location because they were full.. They moved us to an apartment for the same price. It was very nice with a great view. The only drawback was that it was on second floor with only stairs. We are older so was difficult taking all the luggage up and next day was raining so had to take everything back out in the rain. They were very accommodating and friendly. Even with this issue..we would definitely stay here again.

The place was very clean, there was free coffee in the lobby, and it was in a great location. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The fridge in the room was nice, and the beds were comfortabIe. I liked staying here and will be coming back! That said, if you want something fancy and modern, do not stay here. It's a basic hotel, and they advertise as such. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, and simple place to sleep, then this place is great. My only suggestion would be to put some privacy film on the lower windows - we had to choose between natural light or privacy during the day! This really isn't a huge deal, but I think it would be a nice touch.

Very nice hotel right on the edge of the lake, looking partially out over the marina. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Adirondack chairs seating as well as a bench or two. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and cozy. Coffee in room and also in office. Very nice restaurant right next door, also with great views, excellent food, and beverages!

There is no breakfast provided but that truly was not a problem for us as fridge is also provided in the room. We brought in our own yogurt, juice, etc.

Beautiful location on Lake Superior with a sweet little trail behind the inn along the lake that leads to a park. Pretty sunrise too. Also, there’s a restaurant on the premises and a great bakery, Cafe Coco, that serves breakfast and lunch a short walk away. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. Inn is quiet at night. Close to several parks.

There wasn’t a microwave in the room, but not a major issue really. There is a fridge.

They called us to see about what time we'd be there and to know when lobby would close. Had a 16hr drive and multiple stops so it was hard to predict arrival. Host was nice, I asked for a tooth brush since my buddy forgot his. Gave us one and a free appetizer at the restaurant next door. They stayed open a little extra so we could get some supper.

Hallway had construction materials and toilet would run on and off intermittently. No real issue

The apartment was spacious and clean. Completely stocked with full kitchen. The location was perfect off the main road and right next to SxS trails. Met an amazing local Leo, at Time out Cafe. Best break around. Huge portions and reasonable prices. He was so nice and told us the best places to visit. Would recommend to anyone looking for extra space - to ask for the apartments.

The description was a little vague on the listing. The space is a fully furnished apartment. Which was awesome. 😊 Had we known, we would have packed food instead of eating out.(no big deal) The bathroom tub had a slow drain while showering we were standing in water. Neither were that big of a deal for us. Would totally stay here again.

The Washburn/Bayfield area has limited accommodations at a reasonable price. This is an older facility, but our room looked to be updated recently. It was very clean, had a comfortable bed, and great shower.

Being in our early 70's, we would have liked an elevator, or perhaps someone to help with our bags. The only employee we saw at check in was a young woman. The stairs were narrow and rather steep.

By using Booking.com there was some confusion checking in with my credit card not matching the one of file. Later I discovered that Booking.com uses a different credit card reference than the one I first gave for the booking. (This is the negative). Flexible check out time and heads up morning staffing cleared it up. The microwave was on the fritz.

We love the location, the simplicity, cleanliness and friendliness of all staff. We stayed in one of the Chequamegon suites, very nice. THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS OUTSTANDING! THAT IS HUGELY IMPORTANT IN MY OPINION!

The only thing would be total bldg. air conditioning. I just don't like the whirr of fans, there were 3 different AC units in our suite. So to pay $225 with the inconvenience of the AC noise, lessens the value of the property.
