The hotel is in an excellent location in downtown Seward. It doesn't have any special amenities, but the rooms are decent and staff friendly. Prices in Seward are expensive, but that's to be expected in a tiny town that is a port city for large cruise ships. The hotel is a heritage property, so don't expect it to look like a brand new Hyatt.
I wish the hotel offered some sort of breakfast. Even water would have been nice. However, the location in the heart of the downtown area gives one a multitude of dining and shopping options.

The location is excellent and the staff is very nice. The room is clean and quiet. The free coffee is very nice too. After we checked-in, we just noticed that the building has historical significance, some of the wall paintings tell the story of the local history. But it is too old and requires a good maintenance or renovation.
The smell was very bad in the hallway.

Excellent walkable location, pretty vintage building. Comfortable room with a sink, TV, and cozy blankets. Shared toilet/shower very clean and never had to wait. Unbeatable price for Seward in high season!
Nothing! Would recommend this place to budget travelers like myself who don't need the red carpet rolled out.

It was quirky and unique, phenomenal location- close to everything! My daughter loved the "'murphy bed" and I appreciated having space for all members of the family. Honestly, we can't imagine staying anywhere else in Seward and will book again when we return.
We were there on a busy weekend and the hotel guest parking was taken over by public parking, forcing us to park street side and almost get towed at 4 am. Clearer signage and enforcement of guest parking on weekends would be great

Firstly we were arranged to second floor. We are senior people with hurt feet. The personnel contact chained motel, making a lot of efforts to let us avoid the big headache.
It's much better if the heater controller gets fixed.

It was for the most part very clean and pleasant. It almost looked spotless!
Although the carpet was appropriate for the era of that time, I was concerned about the cleanliness of the carpet because it was old.

May need some darker curtains during summer. But it was still a great spot

The staff was friendly. Paul picked up our luggage in the cargo van and brought it to our rooms. The hotel has a lot of character and a reputation for being haunted! Great location for restaurants and shops in the Town of Seward!
No passenger shuttle. Pretty far from the train station and cruise docks but you can get a taxi.

Quaint, old, historic downtown hotel. Beds were comfy, room was adequate. Bathroom was updated. K cup coffee in lobby.
This is a historical building so many things remain original (not updated). Trim and wall paper mostly.
