We had a wonderful stay at Willow Springs, which is perfectly located near Mono Lake, making it an ideal base for day trips around the area. There are so many fascinating sites to explore nearby, including Mono Lake, the Tufa formations, Mammoth Lakes, the Mono Basin Scenic Area Visitor Center, and even a ghost town. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were both clean and cozy, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. Additionally, there's a lovely restaurant just across the street, which was very convenient for meals. Highly recommended for anyone exploring this beautiful region!
Nothing.

Scenic location, there is a 20 min private trail in the property which takes you to an open area. That is good for stargazing as light from highway 395 and the resort are covered by tiny hills. Family room has kitchen with basic utensils and supplies, just like an Airbnb. Plenty of parking on the gravel in front of the room. Bridgeport town is 8 min drive away which has restaurants.
There are 2 beds in the room, one of them is a king bed and the other was small - felt a bit smaller than a queen bed. I didn't see this before in any accommodation listing with 2 double beds - they are always the same size.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful with information (gas, good, etc.) about what to do in the area. The room was small but adequate and set back from the road, so very quiet. The bed was comfortable. There is a great Italian restaurant just down the road.
The bathroom door didn't close. Other than that everything was fine.

The location was great as it opposite a fabulous restaurant called Virginia Creek Settlement with great food. It's a resort with lots of picnic benches in the shade and the best was the nightly campfire that we enjoy the most.
None.

It was quaint and homey., unlike cookie cutter hotels. They have a fire in the evening to gather with other quests. Towels were very thick. Very nice and comfortable. Close to Yosemite National Park.
The bathroom with the stall shower is a little tight.

Family owned business. Excellent facilities and property. Laundry facilities. Guests are treated to a bonfire every evening. There is a nice hiking trail in the back of the property. Lovely grounds with barbecues as well. Minuets from Bodie or Bridgeport

Charlie was great at reception. We learned a little bit about the history of Willow Springs including the 70 year hit of nightly bonfires. Great little place to stay.
Seating could have been a little more comfortable.

Very practical when you want a stop after visiting the Yosemite and exiting East + visiting Bodie
A little bit noisy (thin walls and road is close) Few places to eat around and the closest one is a tourist trap
