As we landed late to Malaga Airport on the Friday, we had a 50minute drive to the resort location and our arrival time was around 1am. The security guard provided our apartment key and we had no issue getting access to the room, where we had ordered a small basket of food and drinks in case we were hungry and also to make breakfast the next day. The next 7 days we became familiar with the area, our apartment location had a car park area, and we had 2 pools to enjoy, the smaller side pool and the slightly larger pool at the rear with more grass land to relax on. There was a small shop which was enough to get fresh bread, snacks, drinks etc and you were a short walk to the beach area which was also very nice and relaxing. Our apartment was ideal with 2 large bedrooms, one with an en suite and the other used by the 2nd room, the living area was large with a dining room and kitchen area, which was large enough for what we needed. It also had a roof terrace which was very large and great in the evenings to sit and relax and play games all together. I liked that the area was not overly busy and I enjoyed that we were not in a large town or inside a city centre, we found it easy to drive to locations by car and explore many around us (Ronda, Tarifa, Estepona, San Pedro de Alcantara etc) The apartment was fully air conditioned and trust me, you need it :)

On arrival the security guard wanted to take the details of the credit card and write them down, even though we had prepaid, i did not want to hand over credit card data which is written on paper, i refused this, as any security deposit can now be done through the machine. Our apartment balcony looking out to the motorway, where at first you do not want to listen to the noise, however it did become less important as the days went on but it was not the perfect start. Nothing else only a few small things.

Our rented apartment for the vacation was absolutely wonderful! Everything was perfectly organized, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a friendly host who provided us with all the necessary information. The apartment was spacious and well-furnished, making us feel right at home. The kitchen equipment was comprehensive, allowing us to prepare our own meals. The bathroom was clean, and the shower had a strong water flow. The best feature of the apartment was its location. The place was conveniently situated, close to the beach and shops, giving us easy access to everything we needed. Additionally, the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, which contributed to relaxation and rest. We couldn't be more satisfied with our stay in this apartment. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation spot. We will definitely return here on our next opportunity!

Lots of space. Apartment was very clean and full equipped. No parking problems at all as you can park outside the residence, just 50 meters away from the apartments. Beach about 150m away.

The main pool (south side) was too full and noisy. People simply do not behave and break all rules, starting with “reserving” the sunlounges with their towels, to jumping into the pool. The pool personnel just don’t care, it’s just “anarchy”. The beach is not well maintained. Showers are not working, due to the water shortage in the region.

not in walking distance to any smaller town or city. So if you need to dine out it’s either the few local pricy and average places or drive!

Reservation of sunbeds wasn't enforced. We dont agree with reserving sunbeds and liked that the venue had the same policy. Yet when we arrived on various days all sunbeds had been reserved and none sat in. Staff were excellent bringing us more sunbeds but would be ideal if it was enforced somehow

Have been going to Villacana for 20 years. It is a beautiful place with stunning well kept gardens and a relaxing atmosphere. The kitchen facilities are good in the apartments and the cleaning prior to arrival is always to a very high standard which is why it is a gold standard timeshare resort. The new walk and cycle way running along the beach adds a useful attraction.

Unfortunately when it is hot it is a bit of a walk to find good restaurants. There are too many big complexes boarding around the property at the beach end.

Quiet location and convenient for the beach

Very loud when cleaners are sweeping up early in the morning, gardeners started cutting grass early one morning with no notice and the sprinkler came on one morning completely soaking 4 towels and 3 swimming costumes that were out to dry from the night before. Be aware that there is 1 small convenience shop next to the complex which is not cheap and the supermarket is a 4 min drive (very cheap)

There was no breakfast, we had a property with a full kitchen.

DIrect beach access was closed for construction. Restaurant and grocery store were not open. Indoor pool and sauna closed at 5 pm, which we were not told when booking.

The apartments were well equipped and both the pool areas were very nice. The pool bar staff were very attentive and the quality of food was generally good.

There was no breakfast facility apart from self catering in apartment. The restaurant was not open throughout our stay and the poolside bar (advertising breakfast from 10am) did not open until midday. Every night there were people accessing the roof until past midnight and into the early hours. There appeared to be no security staff enforcing a considerate noise policy.
