The property was beautifully decorated and well situated being close to great transport links, the host was so helpful and gave great information on local places to shop eat and drink, and also very useful information on the best places to get transport to where we needed. There was a small kitchen with a microwave and fridge and plenty of things (crockery and cutlery) so if you wanted to eat in (we got some pancakes we could heat and serve for breakfast) you could. There were lovely restaurants and bars very nearby and Vondelpark was just at the end of the road.
I loved the property but the stairs to access are steep and could be a problem if you had mobility issues, but, no different to most houses in Amsterdam so not a concern for us.

We had a very nice stay in Vondelpark House B&B. Firstly, we were allowed to check in from 12.00 which was very useful since had to wake up very early on a travel day. Room was spacious, extra clean, decorated with style and had several small things like slippers, bathrobes which make your stay even more cosy. Private bathroom had a big walk in shower and was super clean as well. In the shared kitchen you can make tea, coffee and prepare a small breakfast or lunch. We liked the location as well. It is close to public transport stop, shops and several eating places. Special thanks to hosts who were very friendly and gave a few good tips for us.
We had no problem with it but beware of narrow steep stairs and don’t bring large heavy luggage!

We loved our stay at the Vondelhouse B&B. The charming couple created a really lovely place, a little oasis to escape from the vibrant city. We felt like in an english cottage, everything is totally new and lovely decorated. The location is very good, not totally central but the beautiful vondelpark is around the corner and offered us nice walks to the city Center and different areas of Amsterdam. If you are a keen walker, you can reach everything by foot from the apartment. We highly can recommend this place for a stay in Amsterdam!

The host, Petra, is fabulous! She allowed us to drop our luggage off early and as the room was ready she gave us access straightaway. The room is big, and extremely clean. I loved the typically Dutch blue and white theme. The bathroom was spotless also. There were dressing gowns and slippers supplied which we found really useful as the room was a little bit chilly - the heating was on but it is a large room to heat! Flannels, soap and shower gel were also supplied. There is access to a kitchen, but we didn’t use it. We would definitely stay here again.
The only thing I can say here is that the pillows were too soft for my liking, but it is just my preference to have a firm pillow. Admittedly I didn’t ask Petra if she had any other pillows, I just assumed that our only option was what was in the room. We both still slept well.

Petra was a fantastic host very kind and helpful. Beautifully presented, very clean and comfortable little appartment, with shared guest kitchen. Very thoughtfully set up with little extras like guest slippers and robe for accessing the bathroom ( Private bathroom for our room sperate from the bedroom which gave us lots of private space) Great location lots of local restaurants and supermarket. Quiet area away the touristy part of the city (you feel like a local!), a only few minutes to the park, great for an early morning walk and easy tram access to all the sites.
Everything was perfect

The location of the B&B was a lovely, quiet residential area near the entrance to Vondel Park which is beautiful. There are many cafes and restaurants very nearby. The walk through the Park provided welcome calm before entering the lively centre of Amsterdam. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious, spotlessly clean, tastfully decorated. Our host was very hospitable and provided us with lots of useful tips for our trip. We greatly enjoyed our sightseeing days around the Centre but one thing noone told us and which shocked us was how super careful you have to be when navigating the streets on foot. When crossing the road there are bikes, scooters, cars and trams coming from all directions at top speed so your spidy-senses have to be on full alert at all times - we nearly got wiped out a few times!! Otherwise we would highly recommend visiting Amsterdam for a short city break (with some of the attractions needing prebooking online).
Two very small things which we already knew about before our trip and were clearly stated in the Booking.com description:- 1. The very steep steps in order to get to your rooms were no surprise but a challenge nonetheless. 2. It is described as a Bed & Breakfast but no breakfast is provided although the host did say the reason for this is there wasn't a demand for it. We were very happy with the kitchen area which did provide an amazing choice of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. And she gave us a list of recommended cafes and restaurants in the area that provided good breakfast etc.

Spotlessly clean and cozy with a very nice local decoration. Everything in the house was chosen with love and good taste! It is perfectly organised, there you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay, from slippers and bathrobes to every utility you can think of in the kitchen, even a small pharmacy with all the essentials. Gerard (Petra’s husband), was very helpful and hospitable. We even had a gift from Petra on our departure! The location was perfect to visit the city, 3 minutes walk to the tram stop. Many good restaurants and shops in the area. Highly recommend!!
Everything was excellent!

I liked the room very much, very clean and nicely decorated, although I missed a tv since we used to come home pretty early in the evening. The proximity to the park was perfect for us, to get away from the bustling street life for a while and just kick back in the park. Very smooth transfer to/from airport with train and tram. Very friendly hosts.
A long, strait, semi-boring street that leads to the centre. But, you can always take the way through the park instead if you like.

Immaculate! Couldn’t fault the b and b at all. The host was friendly and helpful. She had thought of everything. It was all SO clean. We could really see the thought that was put into it, down to the small details, whether it was the matching colours or the treats left in the room. The location is perfect, neighbouring Vondel park, while only being a lovely 30 minute walk through the park to the city centre.
That we couldn’t stay longer!

Lovely, cosy place to stay with attention to detail, high standard, equipped with everything you need and more. Very good location. Highly recommended.
Bathroom and toilet away from bedroom came as surprise (we stayed in room 2; room 1 has on suite bathroom). We have to walk through shared corridor to use them. 2 single beds conjunct together instead of double bed not ideal for a couple.
