Breakfast was nice, really good on Saturday. The view to the lake from our bedroom was superb and by night is very quiet. We even could sleep with the balcony door open to get some fresh air!

The bathroom is very small, old and has a leak in the shower (leak= constant flow). It is noticeable that this hotel has seen better times and it needs an urgent renewal as some facilities look old and untidy. And they can use more staff: our room wasn't cleaned one day and really late on other. It's a shame, because the location es very good and it would be a really nice place with a good investment.

The staff were friendly approachable and professional at all times. We stayed for 4 nights amazing views, private bathroom and breakfast included. The food was really good and worth your money! Large selection for vegetarians. I also used the shared toilets downstairs by the bar they were clean too. I felt safe in the hotel and I felt welcomed. The staff gave us good recommendations in terms of hikes and activities to do.

There is nothing that we didn't like! Everything was great and we have no complaints. If I really had to say something "bad" is that our room was next to a smokers room and one night I entered our bathroom which shared air ventilation with theirs I assume and it was filled with smoke. As a none smoker I didn't like that but we just opened our window and it went away quickly. But it's not the end of the world and I wouldn't complain about it, I think it's great to have an option to book a smokers room to avoid having to cross contaminated all rooms by different guests smoking in there. I would definitely come back here and I will be recommending this place to friends family and even colleagues.

Warm welcome. Excellent location. Loved the seaview surrounded by mountains from my balcony. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast- cereals, variety of rolls, cheese, meat, jams, fruit. Great cappuccinos. Staff (especially Julian) went out of their way to ensure had excellent stay. Even organised/arranged free taxi to take me to and from nearby station (Brienz)- only 12 minutes walk but I had several bags with me. Thankyou to you all. I hope to return one day.

Very thin walls. Could hear everything e.g. neighbour taking shower at 11:30pm and flushing toilet at 6am

GERLINDE! Gerlinde is MAGIC! Was accommodating and explained to me that I booked a room without the bathroom. And that was fine. We both had a birthday the day afterI checked in. The morning of my birthday there was a table with birthday celebration decorations waiting for me at the delicious buffet breakfast. Best breakfast of my entire week vacation in Switzerland.

Honestly it was a perfect stay. Maybe the dinner staff was too thin and service was slow. But the people that were woking were great. They just needed help.

It would have been 10 and perfect score if the heater didn’t shut off after the proprietor went to bed. I had it turned up to 5 (highest setting) and the radiator was cold all night. As soon as everything turned on in the morning the heater started working. I think perhaps there is a setting the owners control? The lake view was amazing, the bed was comfy and the bath tub was a huge perk. The breakfast was great and the cheeses were so good.

The adjoining room door is not modern and not sound proof. I could hear our neighbors every move, conversation and noise. I’m sure they heard us as well.

The location of this hotel is incredible. Right on the lake, with easy access to swim and close to a children's playground where they can play with water. The rooms are old and need remodeling, but for the price it's a good value. The village the hotel is located in is super cute and the walks on the lakeside are pleasant. The restaurant was good, nothing fancy, but we had a Czech couple waiting tables that were so kind and thoughtful really made for a wonderful experience.

The location was breathtaking. We could see the lake and surrounding mountains from the balcony. The staff were very nice the breakfast was also very good. They have free pickup and drop off at Brienz station. It was really a good stay for us.

Their rooms did not have electric kettle. For the price we paid, we expect it to have an electric kettle and complementary coffee and tea in the rooms. I cant complain about anything else. It was expensive compared to the facility that was provided.

Amazing location and view for the price , friendly staff, clean bath. From my room you can clearly the beautiful lake and a little bit of the waterfalls across the river.

I believe this hotel has SO MUCH potential only if they upgrade the style of the rooms, like choose an all white linen etc… so it all looks uniformed because the view is AMAZING and I know for sure that people would pay way more to stay here. Pictures need updating, from the room it doesn’t show the view, I suggest to take a picture of rooms that has balcony as this is what people are looking for. Also, it was a little bit too loud as people would need to pull the door with force for it to close but overall a good stay.

I had a wonderful stay - after the stress of the larger cities, Brienz itself was absolutely delightful. The on site parking took a weight off my shoulders, and everything else is easily within walking distance. Gorgeous views along the shoreline, and surrounded by beautiful historic wooden houses. The hotel itself was basic but met all my needs, and I was pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a private bathroom.

The hallways were a little bit tired, but that didn't impact the quality of my stay.

The hotel is in a good location, near the station, right next to the lake. The bed was comfortable. There was a sink and two mirrors in the room. The breakfast is nothing special, but the staff is very nice. You can also leave your bags after check-out. The room with a view outside the lake also has a very nice view of the town and the mountains.

Only one very old bathroom on the entire floor. It is very noisy to sleep with the window open.
