Our Pause apartment was the perfect home base to use for exploring Porto. Located only a ten-minute walk (albeit uphill) from the Campanha train station, it was the perfect size , very modern in an old building, and very quiet and comfortable. We stayed for four nights, visiting all the major sights around the old town. Most everything is within a half hour walk or you can hop on the Metro or take a bus to all the attractions. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants and bakeries and there is a Lidl right around the corner. Marina, our host, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was beautiful, felt luxury and had a lot of space and amenities. The building was mostly private and quiet. The room got lots of light, and the terrace was lovely for brunch and sun! The blinds were also great to black out if needed. We were a short walk from the centre and there were lots of places to eat and drink around. If we needed anything, the host was very helpful and welcoming. She gave us lots of advice and places to visit and was easily contactable, going out of her way to make our stay as good as possible. This enhanced our stay a lot. Thank you. We hope to stay again and recommend others too!

Very minor issues: The first is not the apartment's fault—we saw a man looking at us through the gates of our terrace from the back of the apartment, which made us unsettled, but the apartment still felt secure. I wonder if something could be put up so the public can not see in to improve privacy on terrace. Some of the light switches did not work. Also, the back door did not always lock properly, we had to make sure we checked. but these were very small criticisms, and we really enjoyed our stay!

The apartment is located in a quiet area, about a 5 minute walk from the metro and a 5 minute walk from the train station. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and Lidl nearby. The apartment and its facilities fully met our expectations, the bathroom was new, the room large and the view from the balcony pleasant. With Beatriz's excellent communication, we were maximally satisfied.

The apartment is at a perfect location, walkable distance from historical part of town, in a calm area with grocery store, restaurants and coffee shops on same street. We had a car rental and could park near the apartment. The train station and rental car office are very near. The building was renovated with style, keeping it’s historical essence. Very comfortable and calm, we slept like babies. We had a little outside terrace to sip our coffee in the morning sunshine. Highly recommended! Home managers easily reachable. Thank you for a very nice stay in Porto.

Perfect location since you are near the church (if you are Catholic), metro (4 mins. walk) , bus stop (just outside the main door), and a nearby supermarket. Restaurants are near as well, like a 14-minute walk. What I like the most in the apartment is the minimalist style of it, squeaky clean bathroom with a very large mirror (which we love), lots of amenities, and complete kitchen appliances. Neighbourhood is quiet and calm. The hostess (Beatriz) is amazing in which she suggested all the good restaurants and the picturesque buildings in Porto. She has been very welcoming and helpful since we arrived. The only thing that I'm worried about to other travellers is the short uphill walk to the apartment (if you're not taking a bus), but for us, we easily managed it. All in all, it is a great place to stay in Porto, Portugal!

Beatriz was really lovely, communicative, and gave us a great list of activities and restaurants to try around Porto. The flat itself was nice and the bed very comfortable.

The sink in the bathroom wouldn't drain and only a trickle of water would come out the kitchen tap. It was also quite loud when turned on so there is likely some pipe issue that requires a plumber. The location wasn't the most picturesque but we were half an hour walk away from the center so it was fine overall.

Everything from start to finish was fantastic. We were greeted and given a map highlighting areas and restaurants of interest. The apartment was spotless and had everything we required for our stay. The shower was very powerful and had plenty of hot water. There were shutters outside of the patio doors to make the room completely dark which is what we like when going to sleep. Umbrellas were provided for our use during our stay. The host was always at the end of the phone if we needed her. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again! Thank you

The apartment is in a quiet part of Porto which is easily accessed by the direct metro link from the airport to Campo 24 Agosto (Purple Line E for 17 stops) followed by a two minute walk up the main road (no dimly lit side streets to negotiate if you arrive late in the evening!) Marina was excellent in her communications right from the initial booking! She kept in constant contact with me to ensure my remote check in went smoothly, she checked if I needed anything throughout my stay and helped out right up to me leaving for the airport at the end of my holiday. Due to the early morning starts of my plans, I never actually met Marina but it was a wonderful addition to my holiday knowing that there was someone I could ask for advice. The apartment was beautifully clean and extremely well presented! Exactly as shown in the pics online (which isn’t always the case with holiday accommodation!) There was even a lovely little touch with a welcome note and a jar of sweet treats for my late night arrival! Although not used by myself, the kitchenette area was exceptionally stocked with all the equipment you would require to cater for yourself during your stay and the fridge was actually cold!!! Unlike a lot of holiday accommodation where the fridge barely even cools a bottle of water!!! There was absolutely nothing to complain about at all. The apartment was beautiful and the staff were excellent!!! I would definitely recommend this little place to anyone who isn’t overly fussed about needing to stay bang in the centre of things. Yes it is a 15/20 walk to the centre but with that brings the chance to see a neighbourhood you would otherwise miss. Give it a go and you won’t be disappointed!

Spacious apartment with full kitchen, small balcony to dry clothes. Everything had been completed to a high standard.

A fan in the bedroom but there is air conditioning which we didn’t require. A slightly bigger bed . We parked just around the corner & walked everywhere. It is about a 20-25 minute scenic walk into the heart of Porto which we enjoyed.

Marina in the office was fantastic, easy to correspond with and gave us heaps of information on restaurants, and places to go and even helped with my bag up the stairs, which are not too many. The apartment was lovely, very spacious for a studio apartment, also very modern. The shower was great and the kitchen had everything we could need. The location was good about 30 minutes walk from the river and had heaps of restaurants within 15 minutes walk from the apartment. We would highly recommend this apartment.

The pillows. But that is a preference more than a dislike.
