Having been before to Sorrento and Amalfi coast we decided to stay somewhere away from the hustle and bustle. Meta is a quaint and lovely small town and palazzo Sassi did not disappoint. On arrival we were met and shown to our room the decor was beautiful and the palazzo has been well kept. Our room was large, spacious and a balcony overlooking lovely gardens there was also the option to spend time on the fantastic roof terrace with lovely views of the sea and mountains. The beach was a few minutes walk and here there were also lovely restaurants. An excellent bus service which takes you to neighbouring Sorrento and beyond picks you up outside and it is very regular until late at night. There is also the train station a short walk away. The staff were excellent they went over and above assisting us with arranging private transfers but a special mention to the lovely lady who looked after us each morning, the breakfast was a lovely continental typical Italian style and even on the odd day of a lie in she was offering to go make us coffee and get us some food, despite being well past the breakfast time, again another lovely touch. I would highly recommend this place when discovering the coast.
Nothing we loved everything

The room was very large as was the bathroom and the balcony was charming. The use of the elevator to bring baggage up was appreciated and we were served breakfast in our room on the balcony each morning. Susie was lovely and we found her cheerful and helpful. It was also across the street from a restaurant ,Tavernetta Cinquantotto, that provided the best meal we had in Italy. We also enjoyed the rooftop patio in the evenings where you could see the lights of the area.
The toilet seat was not connected properly and often shifted.

Milena and Guisey are the most welcoming hosts! Milena reached out to us a week before we checked in, offering suggestions for local restaurants and making sure we're getting into Meta comfortably. She ensured we had all the information we needed and made sure we were happy and comfortable and always went above and beyond, even dropping small things off late at night! Guisey welcomed us to breakfast so warmly every morning, she felt like an aunt, making sure we were fed properly! Her beautiful and warm 'Good Mornings' and 'Have a Good day' (in Italian) were sure to set your day up well. We were hanging upstairs on the rooftop and she brought us some strawberries to enjoy. She was an absolute delight to see daily and we appreciated all of the effort both of the women went to to make our stay comfortable and wonderful. Location - If you don't want to stay in the overly populated area of Sorrento, Meta is the place to stay. We were a 7 min walk from the nearest train station and were 2 stops away from Sorrento. The bus to Positano/Amalfi goes past Meta also. This was a 9 min walk from the accommodation. Meta has the most beautiful sunsets, its own beaches and really great seafood restaurants along the water.
Nothing - we loved it here!

To start ... the breakfast was Very Good and the Capichino's were Excellent. Assunta made the Best one that I had tasted in Italy...!!! The Room was spacious and Very Clean. Maria and Assunta ensured that all you needs were answered. The Beach and a handful of Restaurants were only 10 minutes away by foot, and All the Restaurants we tried were Excellent. Tico & Tico, Lido Mare and The Golden Beach Restaurant were the Best in my opinion ... I would definitely recommend the Perfiterole with Chocholate ... Extremely Decadent... I forgot to mention ... there is a Cheese/Wine/Assorted Meats and wine Shop with Amazingly Friendly people that speak English, Only 4 doors down from the Hotel... The Only tip I have, would be to bring Water Beach Shoes for the Beach, as all the Beaches are small Lava Rocks...
Absolutely Nothing ... Everything we did, ate and Drank from Naples to Sorrento, Positano, The Amalfi Coast, & Revello ... was Excellent ... We have an Amazing Vacation.

The room was large and clean. The building was beautiful and situated close to the beach and bus stop. The staff were friendly and nice.
The air conditioning was shut down at night. The fan would blow but the cooling was off. It was super hot, 99 degrees Faranheit, while we were there which made sleeping uncomfortable. Also, the hot water was very sparse at night as well. Showers were 90% cold.

Lovely accommodation in a little village - a short bus or train ride from Sorrento. Our hosts were responsive and helpful. We chose to stay here for its proximity to Sorrento (and Capri), as well as to Pompeii. Really enjoyed our stay. We dined at a fabulous restaurant down on the Meta foreshore - we enjoyed it so much we went back the following night..
Not a massive deal, but another Power point for charging devices would have been handy.

It is my second stay here and this is a very good, quiet place. Very close to the sea, close enough to the railway station. Room is spacious, decorated with precious antique items. All is very clean and new. Huge terrace on the roof. Very helpful staff. Really nice place for a hide-away for one week I would definitely recommend this place.
Couldn't find anything negative. I find it all good.

Kind people in the property. Clean and large room. Large terrace of the room and rooftop terrace. The best place nearby is Sorrento.
The shower drain in the cabin was slowly draining. The big bed in our room was weird. When we're arriving the bus from Sorrento to the stop near the property was with irregular schedule and have to wait 40-50 min. Recommend to use the train to Meta with more walking distance. The near beach was not clean. The bus from Sorrento to Amalfi via Meta didn't take us because came full from Sorrento, that's why in the summer is better not to take the bus to Positano and Amalfi from Meta but rather from Sorrento train station.

Palazzo Sassi is a beautiful place - well restored old little palazzo in the very heart of splendid quiet town Meta, which is just few km from Sorrento. For those who would like to avoid touristy noisy crowds of Sorrento, this is definitely highly recommended destination with nice clean beach. Palazzo Sassi is just 5 min walk from the beach and 7 min walk from the train station. Bus stop is just 1 min. Here you are away from crowds, but close to all the landmark towns. This historic building itself is well renovated and preserves lots of antique items. My room was very clean, comfortable bed, balcony, and fully renovated bathroom. The building has a nice large roof terrace for breakfast or suntanning with gorgeous view on the mountains and the sea. The staff is extremely helpful in everything, even bringing me medicine when I twisted my leg.

Suzie was a lovely lady as was Maria, couldn't do enough to help. Always there when needed advice for bus and train times and pick ups. Etc, hotel was clean and had everything you needed, breakfast was well stocked and tasty.
Only thing I could say is that there was enough sockets in room for UK adapter's as had to unplug the fridge when using adapter's.
