Great location for Snowdon (ca. 10 mins drive) and the nearby mountains. You can do Moel Siabod direct from the pub. Food was excellent, fab choice of pub grub, and lots of it. The pub can also do packed lunches for your day out to save having to go back to Betws-y-Coed to pick up sandwiches. The staff were amazing and couldn't have been more helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Although the bedrooms could do with a bit of a make-over, there was nothing wrong with them. Our twin was quite spacious and spotlessly clean and refreshed each day. The shower was fabulous - plenty of hot water and very powerful. There is also a small drying room. Also dog friendly.
Our mountain view room was also road facing and the passing traffic was quite noisy at night. Maybe opt for a room without the mountain view, but quieter! Also make sure you register your car number plate at reception. The car park is operated by Britannia car parking and issue fines if you've not registered your vehicle for the duration of your stay. The pub staff can help with this.

The staff are what made the difference for me, I would like to particularly mention Sam who welcomed me every morning during breakfast time, she was an absolute star. Likewise Celyn who made my evenings effortless when reserving a table, ordering dinner, etc., there were times when Celyn seemed to know what I wanted before I knew myself, she too was an absolute star. All other staff were lovely too, and feel free to feed this back to them.
I was in room 3 and some of the walls are a bit thin because I could hear both rooms either side of me, which wasn’t such a joy, particularly after midnight.

• Very clean rooms • Breakfast had good choices from simple pastries, porridge, vegan full breakfast, Welsh full breakfast etc. • The staff are very friendly. • The beer garden was nice. • Allowed to keep mountain bike in the hotel conference room to keep it safe. • Free parking. • Good communication from messages sent. • Decent hot water and shower/wash facilities
My room (No.2) was at the front of the hotel and the road noise is substantial as it is an 'A' Road. Although not a busy 'A' Road, it is a main route for trucks as well as cars. Thankfully main flow of traffic ceased around 11 pm, but I needed my earplugs and the window closed to achieve decent sleep. There is also a double door that goes to the conference room and this has a harsh closing which results in a 'bang' being heard in the room. The walls are not the best at silencing sounds, so if you are a light sleeper - be prepared.

A great place to stay. Loved the new decor, very stylish and welcoming with the warm colours and artwork. Comfortable room with everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant both evenings of our stay and the food was excellent with good menu choices. Really good breakfasts, good choices and nice to see small portion option of the Full Welsh. Poached eggs were perfect as well. The best thing at Tyn y Coed without question is the staff, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. A special mention to Beth,Tanya, Ella and Tomos. Would love to return and can highly recommend.
Everything was great.

Location was exceptional, we booked to stay here due to the hikes right on the doorstep (Moel Siabod is something special). We brought our dog Scout along with us, the restaurant was dog friendly and the staff were too! Really cosy place with comfortable beds. Myself and partner are vegan and found we were well catered for both at dinner and at breakfast.
Wish we'd have stayed an extra night

The Tyn-y-Coed Inn provided a wonderfully comfortable stay with friendly and welcoming staff. The food was absolutely delicious, making each meal a real treat. The interior was cozy and well-designed, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. My room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, perfect for unwinding. The location, surrounded by stunning woodland, hills and mountains, added so much to the overall experience. I couldn’t have asked for more!
There was nothing I didn't like.

Perfect location for me and my eight year old son, so close to snowdon for when we finished, less than a 10 minute drive and we were there. Easy to check inn and staff were very welcoming. Beds were comfy and we had a great nights sleep.
This is really nit picking but the corridor leading to the bedroom just seemed long and narrow (I know there’s nothing you can do with that but the only observation that I didn’t really like) beans were a bit cold for breakfast. But plenty to choose from and all very tasty

Fantastic breakfasts and dinners - portion sizes are for those with good appetites! Rooms clean and cosy with the usual amenities. Bed was comfortable. Staff are first rate. The Inn was busy but they made time for us and were very helpful and polite.
Extractor fan in bathroom although opening the bedroom window works. As an Inn I knew it would be on a road, but hadn't appreciated how busy that road is. So, ask for a room at the rear if you want a quiet night.

From the moment we arrived we got the feeling this was an establishment where the staff were happy to go that extra mile if needed. Check-in was swift and easy. We were also able to book a table in the pub side for our evening meal at the same time. The room was a nice size, lovely and clean and very comfortable with ample draw and wardrobe space. The pub was busy both nights but not rowdy. A nice mix of locals, visitors and guest. The meals were fantastic quality and definitely good value for money and there was a good choice of beers and other drinks. The breakfast is taken in the hotel side of the establishment and again is great value for money and of great quality. We had a freezer bag with us and both nights we were able to put the ice blocks in the hotel freezer and collect them next morning. We chose this hotel due to us visiting Zipworld nearby and guests can claim a 10% discount when booking at any of the sites. In fact the staff were able to arrange a booking for us on our last morning before our departure. The hotel is ideally situated in between all 3 zipworld sites in a stunning location. We would 100% recommend a stay at Tyn-Y-Coed. Thank you, we will return in the near future.
Absolutely nothing whatsoever. It was a fantastic visit and we cannot wait to stay again. One thing I would advise is to book your evening meal early as the pub gets busy but that is in no way a criticism, just a bit of advice if staying as I'm not sure if the fact you are staying would guarantee a table if the pub is very busy. We had no problems on either evening..

I stayed for one night as I was in the area for a hike. It's a lovely place to stay, modern rooms, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and I loved the little welcome note in my room! Plenty of parking opposite, which is free for guests. It's an inn/pub so expect a little noise maybe depending on where your room is, but honestly it didn't bother me and it's quiet over night. Location is great for Tryfan and surrounding area. Would definitely stay again!
