Our cabin was recently renovated and so comfortable ! The deck outside the room was private and the view was absolutely incredible. The food from the lodge was fairly priced and very tasty. We loved our guide for the Quetzal tour. He was very knowledgeable and works so hard to find us 5 gorgeous quetzals

The water in the shower was icy cold, and the heater that was included in the room, didn’t do anything to touch the cool air of the evening. The bed did have tons of cozy blankets to help keep us warm though

Location was perfect. Very scenic and the lodge grounds were beautiful and well maintained.

The room location was also excellent overlooking a scenic valley. However, the room interior design was bad. There was absolutely no ventilation in the room which made it very hot from mid morning till sundown. Also, having the jacuzzi in the bedroom without any ventilation did not make sense. The showers hot/cold water mixer does not work very well.

We wanted to be immersed in nature and we achieved that.

There are several trails in a natural environment. The grounds have a variety of plants that are esthetically pleasing and also provide a good habitat for wildlife. We saw several bird species. One can choose from several excursions to nearby locations, depending on interest and stamina. It provides employment for the neighboring community. A win-win situation.

The bird life was amazing. The trails and garden areas were really great. The staff and restaurant were great as well. There are also great bird guides available with a variety of hike options.

The cabins were great, but the bed was super hard and the pillows were bad. The shower is in a jacuzzi which is hard to get in and out of and slick, and the water temps are freezing or boiling. I heard several people in our cabins mention this as well. the roads to some cabins pretty much require 4x4 to get to. Also, the hummingbird feeder deck is great, but there were often some empty hooks with no feeders. The bird fruit feeding station was also not birder friendly, no great way to see/photograph the fruit feeding bar or surrounding hummingbird feeders. All this being said, it’s still well worth a visit for variety of birds!

Great bunglalow view! We loved the hummingbird garden and so many birds we saw there. We went to the questzal experience and did see the mystical scared birds! We only spent one night there and felt it was enough. We enjoyed the nice view in the room, the trails and the wildlife.

Food is okay but you dont have many options. The room gets pretty cold at night in the room. We had heaters and thick blankets and we were still cold.

It was our honeymoon trip so we booked the lodge with jacuzzi and an amazing view of the mountains! My husband and I absolutely loved it and will definitely be back!!! The gardens and trails are great for wildlife - I am a photographer and managed to photograph some endemic bird species from the comfort if our lodge. A big big thank you to the staff for helping us with everything, especially to Marco (I hope I remember the name correctly) as he went above and beyond to help us with trips and transport whilst being nice and chatting to us every day. My only small feedback may be for the staff taking order as twice I didn't get exactly what I ordered but they were kind to replace my order and I am still marking this place as excellent!

Lovely lodge in a very beautiful garden! The garden is definitely the best feature of this hotel, it is stunning. The only reason I didn’t rate it higher is because my husband is tall and this lodge was a bit of a challenge for him 😂 He didn’t fit in the shower because of the sloping roof haha but it was only for one night so it was fine. But be aware of this when you are tall. my husband is 1.98m. The floor was also a bit off but the staff was really nice and breakfast was great and they have a hummingbird garden 🥰 Dinner was alright.

Lodge 3 is not very suitable for tall people 😉

The gardens and trails are stunning, with a lot of bird life around the hotel. The humming bird feeders in the morning were a particular highlight. We managed all of the roads in a saloon car so 4x4 not necessary. The staff were friendly and food was nothing special but perfectly fine.

Its a high altitude spot so fairly cold and the cabins are not insulated so the little fan heaters don’t do much to heat the room but it was fine, just a bit chillier than we‘d been used to, but bring warm clothes!

This review is very strange. From one side, I would give a score of 10 or, if possible more to the location in the middle of what seems to be a paradise of nature, but from the other side I would give the score of 4 to the investment in the room. It was simply horrible.

An extra small room, very dark (in the evening, I had to use my phone light to manage in the room). The beds were extremely small. No facilities at all.

This accommodation has excellent views from the rooms, when the clouds lift. We stayed in one of the new lodges which had recently been constructed. The Hummingbird garden is an excellent addition to the reception/restaurant area.

There was a lack of seating, there was a lovely balcony but nowhere to sit. The room did not have any seating either, so we had to sit on the beds.
