The staff were incredibly helpful. As a solo female traveller from across two continents, I felt welcome and safe. The staff helped me with directions and booking cabs. The location is fantastic, with the Gamla Stan metro station located a stone's throw away. The rooms are charming even as the washrooms are common. The location is absolutely breath-taking. Quite close to Central Station, but more of a walk than to Gamla Stan. Highly recommended.

I liked pretty much everything.

The staff are super kind, friendly and helpful. The boat has a lot of character, and the public lounges are great spaces to relax and enjoy its atmosphere. The location is perfect and very convenient for Old Town and transport links.

It can be noisy, i.e. it's easy to hear your neighbours. This is down to the fact it's a repurposed boat, and there's only limited ways they can alter the construction. The staff try to mitigate this with a clear noise policy, and are very willing to speak to people if they aren't following it, so they're doing all they can.

The uniqueness of this accommodation alone was unforgettable! My group and I really didn't know what to expect but it seemed interesting so we decided to book and I'm glad we did. The boat you check in on is so cozy, we frequently hung out in the common area/lobby. We were on the second boat which was just cabins and the shared bathrooms. I was pleasantly surprised with the facilities and how it seemed all very well taken care of. Our cabin and the shared bathrooms were spotless! I was nervous about luggage storage because the cabins didn't seem too big in the pictures but the closet space they provide is enough for two large suitcases (and then some!). Wifi signal was great! The check in process was easy and all the staff members we interacted with were friendly. I felt safe on the boat as well with their security gates and locks for the cabins. Lastly, the location is superb. You can easily walk to Gamla Stan or the metro station to get around the city. I would highly recommend this unique accommodation!

Honestly, nothing!

Great place with lots of character. Quirky room. Excellent location. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Good value for money

The room could benefit from a deep clean. The double bed was up against the wall which was fine but we dropped something down the side and when we went to retrieve it we found a lot of dust and fluff and some food wrappers which was a little off putting. Also the curtains weren't hung properly so they were difficult to close. I spent a while rearranging the curtain hooks so they hung better. Just little attention to details like that make all the difference and don't cost anything to fix.

It was cute. Ok for 1 night.

Here are a few things that didn't work for me. 1- the breakfast. I bought just for 1 night to check it out. They mentioned it would have eggs but it was just hard boiled eggs nothing warm. It was very simple continental. Overpriced and not worth it. 2-it's better to stay colser to the island or downtown. Its not easy to be in and out and come back during the day cause its just not a convinient location 3- you cant bring your own wine to enjoy at the bow. They told us we had to buy it there. I get what they said that it was the law but as a paying guest of th eestablishment. I figured i was free to drink my own wine. I didnt like that 4- cabins have " thin walls' ppl talking and walking by are just disturbing in the night. even if they are supposed to be quiet hours, they just arent

Really good location, very central in Stockholm, in walking distance from metro stations, bars and restaurants. Easy to walk into the different islands around. The boat experience was cool, the boat does rock but you cannot feel it too intensely unless it is raining a lot with lots of wind. Breakfast (if booked the day before it is a bit cheaper) is great value with a buffet of breads, meats, cheeses, jams and cereal. The shower rooms are very clean and they provide soap in them.

The room is quite cosy and small, it does say the beds are 80cm so can be a bit of a squeeze. The main issue was that there was very little space above the third bunk bed which was a bit difficult to sleep in and the flush of the toilet upstairs could be heard from our room. But it's a boat at the end of the day so space is smaller!

The location was perfect since I was going to a fetish club event close to the hotel so two it was two minutes from the venue. Food was reasonably cheap, regular bar food with some vegetarian options. I tried the deal with 10 nuggets and a beer of choice for 149 sek and it was good. It is cosy, simple, cheap and comfortable so the perfect place for a weekend with friends or somewhere cheap to stay after a night out. Breakfast was good, egg, a small selection of bread, the regular assortment of toppings, hard boileg eggs, yoghurts and serial. It is not a big continental breakfast like on a Sheraton or Hilton hotel, but everything you need and a maybe a tiny bit more for resonable prices. Its a cosy boat with a 60ies movie atmosphere to it with somewhere around 20 small cabins. Close to 100years old and well maintained so the vintage feeling is intact. The size of the rooms are like on a holiday ferry, no more, no less but with a little bit cosier design since the boat You don't get your own shower in the room but will find shared bathrooms and showers at the end of the same corridor as the rooms. As good as you'll get in the price range.

Nice place with a fantastic lake view in a very convenient neighbourhood. Very kind and easy-going staff. Good initial directions. Reception available all day long, until 23:00. Small, simple and cozy restaurant; some board games available. Breakfast is simple but tasty, worth to include.

Well, boat is boat, and it naturally implies smaller rooms and steeper stairs as usual. We were staying on the 'additional' boat, and there are less bathrooms as on the main boat, meaning that if there are more guests, one shall wait to get access, and trash bins are quickly overloaded. It also wouldn't be a bad idea to clean under beds.

The location is perfect, near to Gamla Stan and the center of the city. Everything is walking distance. We booked the superior cabin, which was spacious and we had a great view of lake Mälaren, Gamla Stan and the Town Hall, we stayed for 5 nights. What we enjoyed very very much was the reception space, which was so cosy! You can also sit outside on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view. We had buffet breakfast every day, there´s something for everyone, coffee, juice, ... ham, salami, variety of bread, several kinds of jam, fruit, sweet cinnamon pastry, eggs, yogurt etc. Staff is friendly, all in all we had a great stay in Stockholm! I would love to come again :-)

We were satisfied, may be just the cleanliness of the floor could be better.

Welcomed by a great host who offered us coffee and explained the accommodation to us very clearly. We had a double room on the harbour side which gave us a great view over the water. We were less than 10 minutes from Gamla Stan, and could walk to the Old Town in under half an hour. The Red Boat is a fantastic stay for those on a budget or looking for a more memorable location to stay while in Stockholm. The bathroom facilities were shared but spotless and the beds were outstandingly comfortable. I'd love to make a return visit!
