Receptionist Emma is certainly an asset. Room was beautiful huge bath in the bedroom was a luxurious touch. Menu was very varied something for everyone. Great location for visiting attractions. And central with some great pubs, amazing Guinness to be found. Lucky enough to be there to get some pics of the last blue moon till 2037!!

There was a strange loud noise around 7am went on for quite a while, not sure what it was or if it was above or next to us, a bit like someone using some kind of machine over and over. Had the Boxty and poached egg from the morning bar menu fine boxty was good but the egg yolk was very hard. Overall we would definitely book again as these were minor issues really.

From the minute we walked in the front door we where made to feel very welcome, super friendly staff who all looked like they all enjoyed working here . Special mention to Emma on reception who took time on her own initiative to show us a map of local places and areas of interest. I've stayed in 100's of hotels and Emma was one the friendliest reception staff I have ever encountered. This hotel is off the beaten track on the wild Atlantic way and is hidden gem . Spacious hotel room with a large comfortable bed . Hotel is quite large and spacious inside which is deceiving from booking site and absolutely would come back . Belmullet was a great destination for traveling around all the hidden bays in area and beyond.

Good location in one of the few towns in the area, easy parking on the roadside, clean and comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, excellent buffet breakfast with options for cooked breakfast, decent restaurant and bar. Easy access to the beautiful coasts and countryside of North Mayo

The lighting in the room was a bit dim

Breakfast was very good. Service in the restaurant very efficient. Food very nice

Stayed in one of the suites . Nice room however there is a large window between the bathroom and the bedroom , right by the toilet. There is a blind you can pull down but it does not give you any real privacy on the toilet. This is not mentioned in the room description at all and is utterly bonkers. I have been married for 35 years and am not prudish but this does not work and would stop us booking this room again .

A romantic ending to a super motorcycle trip doing the Wild Atlantic Way with my partner. Super room as I'd booked a suite for a romantic surprise. We ate in the hotel bar, which was lively and lots of families enjoying a Sunday evening together which was wonderful to see. The bar menu was very well thought out, our evening meal was wholesome, tasty and very well presented. I'd recommend staying and eating here. The staff are attentive and very knowledgeable too. A great pint of Guinness too. Thank you

Large spacious comfortable room. Excellent bed, crisp clean comfortable linen. 2 chaise longues in the room. Tea and coffee maker in room. Plenty of electric outlets including usb points. Overhead general light & flexible stalk light over each bed position. Bathroom was large, big bath, I had difficulty getting out after enjoying a lovely hot soak. No pull rails and bath very slippy. I drained bath and used 2 towels to get grip. I got out without having to call fire brigade! Excellent large shower and good selection of soaps, shampoo etc. I had seafood plate for dinner, crab claws, mussels in white wine cream sauce, smoked mackerel, breaded fish (no chips), brown bread covered in fresh shrimp / prawns, small salad. All EXCELLENT. A hot plate of nachos drowned in cheese with very good sides of avocado guacamole, tomato salsa. I had a super creamy pint of Guiness, €5.20 half the price you'd pay in Dublin! All served by professional friendly staff. Breakfast, excellent choice of self serve cereals, fruit etc and an extensive hot menu. Lively tea and coffee and oodles of toast. Allow a full hour to consume everything in a leisurely manner. I'll be back...

Slippy bath!

Even though the hotel is close to a couple of popular bars, the rooms were very quiet and looked out onto a quiet courtyard. Room and hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were very friendly.

The Talbot is a beautiful hotel, from the reception area to the rooms, the foyer, breakfast room, bar & restaurant it is spotlessly clean. It is warm and welcoming in every area. We were running late checking in & Emma rang from reception to make sure we didn't miss the end of food service. Check in was hassle free. We had a meal in the bar and everything was beautiful, the waiting staff are some of the best and most efficient we've had. The Talbot is within walking distance of all amenities. Our suite was just beautiful and had everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic with Kathleen welcoming us and catering to our needs so effortlessly. We will definitely be back!

No negatives at all!
