I booked this Hotel not really knowing much about this area (or in fact any area) of Paris but what an amazing location so close to the vibrant canal St Martin. The hotel was lovely, room clean, bed super comfy, great shower and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food at the restuarant was great. The atmosphere around the Hotel is buzzing and could get quite noisy at night - the double glazed windows kept this out effectively but on a hot night you'll need the air con on!! However all in all this was a great place to stay and close enough for to walk to the main tourist attractions! I would highly recommend!Paris_Ile_de_France.html

Although the room décor was super cute there was very little hanging space and no drawer space which for a 5 night stay would have improved things. As typical English people it would have been nicer to have a kettle to make tea rather than the Nespresso machine which was really not up to the job. We ate in the restaurant 2 out of our five nights and the food was great - although a shame that the room information was out of date and so more expensive that we were expecting. T

Lovely family run, small hotel - would stay again. The location of the hotel is ideal for Gard L'est which is why we chose it. Very close to the Canal St Martin and the surrounding area which was lovely to explore a part of Paris we had not visited before. The staff were all very polite and friendly. We had breakfast a couple of mornings which was lovely and an extensive selection. We also ate in the restaurant a couple of nights which again was lovely, traditional French cuisine and good value. Would recommend eating there especially if you have been exploring the city all day. Good bus links from Gard de L'est which we used to get to the centre of Paris, didn't use metro. The room was nicely decorated with two large balcony doors, although on the small side, but to be expected in Paris. Bottles of water available every day and also do a happy hour on selected cocktails. Lovely coffee and tea along with delicious macarons.

Nothing, all lovely. But note there is no lift, but staff will help with baggage.

The staff was unbelievably helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Anything we asked for we got right away. The restaurant had a great menu with very quick service. The breakfast layout was great....anything you wanted. The room was always cleaned perfectly when we returned after a long day. Liked the area around the St. Martin Canal....lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. Walking distance to 2 or 3 Metro stops than can get you anywhere in Paris.

It was our fault, but we went with one of the smaller rooms and we should have taken at least one step up. Not enough shelf space, needed somewhere to store suitcases. It probably would have been perfect for a single traveler.

Incredibly clean and well thought out rooms with an attention to details. Built-in USB A and C ports for easy device charging. Comfortable bed. Shower with good shower pressure. L'Occitane toiletries and a Nespresso machine with ample pods in the room. Great heating in the winter. Quiet area with wonderful restaurants nearby. Easy access to the Metro system and walking distance to both Gare du Nord and Gare l'Est The hotel restaurant was particularly good and better than a lot of well regarded restaurants in the tourist areas. Nice staff that genuinely were approachable and wanted to help.

Didn't expect a.such great service, b. L'occitane toiletries, c. nesspesso capsules & coffee machine in the room. Comfortable and spacious (especially for Paris) room with separate shower/toilet, very comfortable bed&pillow, super tasty restaurant within the hotel, good breakfast (especially for Paris) with fresh orange juice, convenient location to use RER to the airport/Eurostar/any sightseeing within 25-30 min by metro max. The room was cleaned every day. The staff was very helpful, borrowing not only the cork screw and glasses for our wine, but also an ice-basket.

You should have in mind that it is still a railway station area of a big city, which is a plus, however sometimes it is not very comfortable to walk after dark. It is a three-strorey hotel with no elevator (if it is an issue for somebody), but the staff helps you with the luggage.

The room was comfortable and the staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. The best things though were the location and the restaurant. The hotel is very close to the Canal St Martin and within easy walking distance of a metro station which connects to most of the central locations we wanted to visit. The restaurant had a good menu and carte and was full of locals. The breakfast was good value, offering a very wide choice including cheeses and cold meats.

The light levels in the room were a bit low - we could have done with a central room light in addition to the bedside lights.

Honestly such a hidden gem, the reviews did this place justice! We had a good size room by Paris standards even though we based a basic rate and it was incredible value for money. This is an excellent 3 star that I would prefer over an average 4 star. Staff were super friendly, hotel was quiet this time of year and even though we were 1st floor (didn't have to lug our bags up high which we prefer) streetside we had zero noise issues and slept peacefully each night. Really nice touches you wouldn't expect for the rate is free water as much as you need, macarons on arrival, l'occitane bath products and other extra touches from that brand, and fresh towels/bed making everyday after we were gone even though we usually leave the DND sign on as to not trouble the cleaners to make it each day during a short stay. They still did that which did feel nice to come back to! The breakfast is also excellent - way surpassed my expectations for a continental breakfast and we were only charged like 15 euros each. Great happy hour too with generous measures and easy transactions to just pay the food and drink tab at the end of the stay. Not to mention the metro at the end of the street took us anywhere in the city we wanted to go within 10 minutes! We also loved walking down the canal day and night. Perfect for people who want a slice of real Paris and don't want to stay in a high traffic tourist area but still want to be accessible to everything. Would 10/10 come here again.

Very well decorated & good sized Paris room. Quiet with the glazing, great aircon. Super comfy bed & excellent shower. USB chargers for new iPhones in walls also, The staff, especially Alexandra on reception were pleasant, friendly & helpful. Great restaurant downstairs too. Close to Gare de L’est but quiet & St Martin canal region, full of you guys vibes, bistro’s, bars, young vibes & barista coffee shops. Good shopping & excellent for the 10th & 11th A Our favourite place to stay now. Many thanks

Lovely hotel with a nice bistro/bar downstairs. Very close to the Canal St Martin with many great bars and restaurants. Spacious room compared to many in Paris, comfortable bed and a good breakfast. Small details were taken care of by friendly staff - complimentary drinks on arrival because it was our wedding anniversary, L’Occitane toiletries, umbrellas to borrow and happy to swap out the coffee pod machine for a kettle because we wanted hot water for tea - they could not have been more helpful. Would definitely go back.

Nothing really

Cosy, well put together and well finished. Not over the top just nicely done.

Unfortunately they have a rat or mice infestation - as someone who use to do this as a job I know exactly what I’m listening to. I didn’t want to ruin my wife’s experience so I didn’t mention this but every night I could hear many moving through the ceiling cavities and walls. If this isn’t resolved they will have a real issue. Friendly advice
