**Hotel Review** I had a wonderful stay at this hotel recently and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. The staff were extremely helpful and tried their best to be cheerful, even during busy or exhausting times, which I truly appreciated. The environment of the hotel was beautiful, and I especially loved the fact that there were three restaurants on the property itself—a great convenience! Each restaurant had amazing staff who made the dining experience even more enjoyable. However, the rooftop restaurant stood out as my absolute favorite. It had a romantic ambiance, perfect for a relaxing dinner, and the food was incredible. The buffet breakfast was another highlight—delicious and well-prepared. The rooftop pool was clean and added a nice touch to the experience, though it was quite small. The housekeeping team was also fantastic, ensuring that our room was always spotless and comfortable. A special shoutout to *Inshaf*, who generously upgraded our room free of charge to what felt like a cozy one-room apartment. I loved the spaciousness and comfort of the upgraded room. The reception team was equally accommodating, allowing us a free late check-out and even letting us stay in one room when they needed the other, which was a thoughtful gesture that I greatly appreciated. The only issue I faced during my stay was with the ironing service. We had to request an iron every day, and once we were finished, the staff would collect it again. Additionally, the irons provided were a bit difficult to operate, which ended up taking more time than necessary. Despite this small inconvenience, I had an amazing stay and would definitely choose this hotel again whenever I visit Sri Lanka. The kindness and hospitality of the staff, including those at the restaurants, reception, and housekeeping, truly made this experience memorable. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Iron

The location of MaRadha is right in front of Marine Drive and excellent place to stay in Colombo. Everything is within close proximity, great Indian Ocean view with the rail tracks along the way. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their respective duties towards guests. The Healing Cafe Siddique was very welcoming ,Pradeep at The Roof Top Restaurant served exceptional food and beverages , Breakfast Area and of course the Guided Tour provided by Udesha was phenomenal!

There is nothing Negative about here to say!

We were greeted by the exceptionally hospitable Mr. Inshaaf Amaan, front office executive, during check-in. He checked back with us at breakfast every morning to ensure our comfort. He also gave me his contact details, and he responds very quickly to any concerns you may have. Restaurant staff were also commendable, especially the gentleman at the omelette station. Another staff member worthy of mention is the housekeeping lady. I bought my wife some flowers and we left it in the room, she took it upon herself to put it in some water. It was very touching. I have stayed at multiple larger hotels in Colombo, including Marino Beach, Granbell Hotel and the Courtyard by Marriot - but the lengths the staff at MaRadha go to is unmatched (a true seven-star experience). The staff did their best with the facility they have. They were incredibly flexible and really did put our needs first. They were accommodating with each and everything. I don't remember asking for something and not receiving it. The facilities were good too. Great views from the rooftop bar, and restaurant. Pay attention to the finer details regarding the pool. Also breakfast options are a subjective matter. All elements of a western/continental breakfast are on the buffet selection. I was also pleasantly surprised by room-posting. Which is not something even larger hotel chains in South Asia provide anymore (due to obvious reasons) and I hope no one abuses this, but this level of trust was nice. The hotel is geared towards limiting waste, so you have to ask for most items - minibar, amenities and even water. Which was not a problem for us, as we received whatever we asked for very quickly.

Nothing really, it was great value for the money. But if I was to nit-pick, if you travel to larger hotels then the fact that there isn't a dedicated service elevator might be something you notice. It never bothered us, and we did not have to wait too long for the elevator at any time.

Staff was very helpful and friendly, gave us valuable tips for our stay in Sri Lanka (special thanks to Ganga)! Great location right at the waterfront with spectacular views and also in walkable distance from some nice cafés and restaurants. To Galle Face it only took us 10 min by TukTuk. We also enjoyed the small gym and the comfy beds.

If I have to name something than that you could not watch TV from bed in our room. But then again we had a fantastic sea view.

I recently stayed at MARADHA Colombo, and I must say that I had a great experience. The room was maintained really well, and it was very clean. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job of ensuring that the room and toilet were spotless. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The counter staff were very pleasant and polite. They greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They were also very helpful in answering my questions about the hotel and the surrounding area. The hotel itself is well located, with easy access to public transport and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, I would highly recommend MaRadha Colombo to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Colombo. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and well maintained, and the facilities are excellent. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to the city.

MaRadha Colombo is definitely a fantastic hotel. A must go. Superb location, excellent buffet and cozy rooms. However that being said, the best part of the hotel is the staff. I was bumped up to a suite and I don't know why. Extremely friendly and will go out of the way to make you feel comfortable. A special thanks to Mr. Induwara who other than being an excellent member of the staff, was also helpful to me in planning the rest of my stay in Srilanka. Right from guiding me with transportation to suggesting places. Once again hats off to the staff. It's guys like you who actually make it great. Cheers!!

Great situation overlooking the ocean. Great breakfast, catrering to Western and local traditions. But most of all: the friendly staff, from the boy who cleaned my room to the receptionists and smiling, helpful Imthiyas who took care of my luggage and helped with my taxi booking.

If and when there is a function in the banquet hall loud music reverberates through the building. Annoying! Piped music in the breakfast hall and corridors is on boring repeat and is also totally unnecessary.

1) Everything ! I stayed from the 29th through the 4th of Feb 2023 I booked another day through booking .com in order to post a review as my original booking was accidentally cancelled. I have been to Colombo over 32 times and stayed at many many Hotel’s through out Colombo as I love supporting “ LOCAL” Hotels and not “ CHAIN” Hotels.. Hands down this is the “ Best Hotel” that I’ve ever been to within Colombo and 100% better then even the so called “ 5” star hotels. If you are visiting Colombo be it Leisure or Work, One must / should stay at this Hotel… I was blown away the minute I stepped onto the premises of this Establishment. The Ambience is absolutely breathtaking . The room was superbly clean and beautiful / bathroom superbly clean and spacious just “ Terrific” in all. Excellent amenities in room, excellent Wi-Fi , excellent t.v channel selections / view facing the ocean was just breathtaking. Roof top pool so beautiful as well. 2) STAFF :- I can not even come up with any sort of adjective to even begin describing “ The Staff Members” Absolutely 100% Terrific individuals the all of them. Front Desk, Cafe Associates, Housekeeping, Restaurant Staff, I wish that I could give them all a score of 1000 and beyond I would … Ms. Ganga and her team Superb. Every single individual in this “ HOTEL” are truly gifted when it comes to Customer Service / Genuine Kindness and making you’re day. I can go on and on with regards to the all of them. I will say this though the “ Owner” who I did meet btw should just be extremely Proud of all of his team member’s of every single sector … 3) Breakfast :- Mind-blowing setup and selection ( I am not exaggerating) I have never seen a set up Breakfast Buffet like this. Variety / Taste / Beauty of the set up/ Taste / Staff… Exceptional is all I can say… 4) Owner :) I had the Privilege & Pleasure to have met the Owner of this Establishment during my stay.

If there is any issue.. For some reason the Music is played very loudly during the early morning Breakfast which I had to ask them on two different days to plz turn it down and on one other day another Male Guest got up to turn the volume down on the box that they were using to play this Music as lovely as this Music is / was being that loud is a bit uncomfortable for the ears.

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was exceptional to say the least. A beautiful hotel with a stunning sea view. They serve a delicious buffet breakfast with both Sri Lankan and English varieties. Many shops are nearby. Additionally I would like to compliment and thanks Mr Inshaf who made me feel at home. He assured everything needed for my stay to be relaxing and also as I was traveling solo, whenever I went down to the reception, he always spared some time for me to have a little chat and made me feel at home. If you are considering to stay at this hotel, give them a try and you will have a great time.

Rooms were spotless, and the facilities were well-maintained. The hotel's cleanliness surpassed my expectations. Exceptional customer service, with a commitment to making our stay comfortable. I would like to mention our service staff at breakfast destination and our housekeeper lady. They are very professional and kind. Thank you so much for your lovely service.

There was some issue with smart TV. We reported serval time but wasn’t fixed during our stay. And I’m confused with upstairs restaurant sky yard billing process, they gave me hand written bill which was 17 thousand when I asked computerised bill they refused for that, however staff was very polite. And apart from our restaurant staff and housekeeper no one from management asked us about our stay at the hotel till our departure. We meet at least 3 times front office staff but no one has time to asked about comfortable or do we need anything else. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it to others but has to review some area.
