In my opinion, Marston's Old Colonial is THE place to stay in WSM and definitely the best one. We have been coming to this place for years and have also tried various other accomodation in and around Weston.Most of them did not reach the same level of quality for various reasons (lack of comfort, distance to the centre...) This one is located on the esplanade with gorgeous sea view and it provides private parking space. Nice staff, outstanding rooms and room facilities, scrumptious breakfast, tempting bar with a large choice of beers and entertainment, what else can you make happier ?

Location fabulous, bed super comfy with amazing bedding. Best pillows and duvet ever, like sleeping in a cloud. Staff really friendly, fabulous sea view from room 3.

Booking.com made an error in the listing online as room stated 2 x sofa beds plus 1 double bed. There was only 1 sofa bed so we had to share as I bought my daughter and grandson. This was no fault of the hotel but an error from Booking.com unfortunately. No escalator so unsuitable for disabled people sadly. I have a badly arthritic knee and the stairs took it out on me a little. But still a lovely stay with good room with a sea view.

We had a 1 night stay over on our way down to lands end Cornwall. We really enjoyed our stay at the old colonial. We received a free upgrade to a Seaview room upon arrival and free parking which is a bonus. The staff are very friendly and the food was nice with a variety of options. We did not have the Breakfast as we had forgotten it was included. The room was clean and presentable. We would definitely return here in the future. Very close to all the shops and the local amenities. Very Good.

The only fault I can report is the externally sea front balcony at room level could do with sweep and clean.

The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious, and with everything you could need. Towels are provided as are tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is directly connected to a Marston pub which serves excellent food.

I really enjoyed my stay here, however, people with mobility problems may find the stairs difficult to navigate because the building does not have a lift. However, this is a listed building and it does state on the booking confirmation that there is no lift.

Love Super-Western-Mare. So location was perfect. Pub/Restaurant downstairs is amazing. Food is great value and yummy.

Upon arrival no matter how many times we rang the bell no one came. Tracked down a member of the staff from the kitchen who tried to contact manager to no avail and she had no idea on how to check people in. We finally found manager and once that was sorted our stay was amazing

The hotel is in a great location only 5 mins to the pier and loved the sea view, great being on top of the pub. Kids enjoyed playing darts and there was some entertainment on the evenings. The rooms were spacious and clean

The bed was uncomfortable I could feel the springs. Also the tv wasn’t easy to use. Thought we only had a handful of channels but realised there were more if you used the remote differently, also the tv reception was bad on certain channels and was cutting out.

The hotel has a cracking pub and beer garden, with spectacular sea views. The menu looks good, but we ate when we were out and about on the town, so unfortunately didn't sample the food. Good size room, with everything in it that you would expect or hope for. Friendly and informative staff. We enjoyed our stay and would go back and recommend the hotel to anybody.

I'm only putting this here, as the survey is asking for negative comments as well as positive. The view of the hotel from the outside lets it down a little bit, but that is just a very minor point, and nothing that a lick of paint couldn't fix. Didn't spoil our break in any way.

I booked last minute staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Food was lovely and good quality for money.

Unfortunately we had the last room available at the top of the building the shower was only a dribble maybe because everyone was using at the same time in the morning or due to being at the top of the building other than that I couldn't fault our stay.

The staff were lovely, nothing was too much The room was clean and tidy , the beds were really comfortable so had a good night sleep. The hotel is on the sea front so not far to go to beach and shops. The hotel had free parking which is always good, would definitely stay again The food in the pub was also lovely and you didn't have to wait long after ordering so thank you to the chef 😁

Richard was great on check in. Made us feel welcome. Very helpful. Room was very big. Beds were comfy. TV good size, plenty of towels. Shower was good. Great location. Lots of sockets for phones etc to get charged. Lovely views of the sea.

Funny smell in the bathroom, not too bad but it was there. Loo rolls not the best quality. Not enough cups/glasses for 4 people to have a hot or cold drink at the same time.
