The overall stay was very good. Breakfast was good, enough options to choose from: waffles, eggs, gravy, sausages, toasts, muffins, and serials. Bed linens were clean, mattresses and pillows were comfortable and big enough. The room was clean and had a lot of furniture, so I cannot say it was basic. You have a simple coffee machine, fridge, microwave oven, TV set, hairdryer, all you need. Staff was friendly and helpful. Access to the rooms right from outside, especially for the first floor. If you want a more quiet room, ask about the second floor, as the first one is right in front of the parking. Parking is perfect, has no issues with it, and slots are standard size. Easy to load your stuff into the car right next to your room entrance. For the dog owners: We were traveling with the dog and had to make a deposit and paid an extra charge for it, something like 30 dollars per night, which is much less than other hotels would charge. Despite of some comments here on Booking, I didn't see many dogs in the hotel, just a couple. To those who are afraid of dogs and noise, it was not the case, as we were notified that dog cannot be left alone for a long period of time and in case of barking they will contact us immediately. The grass was clean and the lawn was moved, no issues at all to walk your dog w/o disturbing other people. Anyway, I would not recommend leaving your dog in the room while you're on the beach, as beaches are dog-friendly, and there is plenty of space, so pets can also have some fun.

It is a great place to stay for the money you pay. Cannot say something was really bad, however, you should mind the noise as the air cooler is quite noisy and old. And all depends on the neighbors who park their cars in front of the hotel and can be pretty loud. As I'm very alert during night hours I always take earplugs with me to such places and sleep w/o issues.

After our bad experience at the quality inn at the beach. They were kind enough to check in early and check out early as well. The breakfast options were amazing. They had different options every day. The location is great. Pool was alway busy with other guest and didn't get to try that out. It was only a few mintues from the beach and few mintues from the peirs. Bouns they had a small laundry facility and they sold tide pods. Whichever helped in mine and my husband's case since we were on the road for a few days and were running out of clean clothes.

Nothing to do with the hotel at all. But we had a few loud guest and a party going on in the parking lot.

the breakfast was just a bonus to me, the breakfast had several items that were good the room is very clean and with plenty of space, i felt very safe there. the employees were super friendly, and I will definitely be booking with this hotel again. also, the pool was nice but didn't use it because i spent all my day at the beach. the location is located near several beaches white cap and padre island national seashore to name some another one but don't know the name.

there was nothing I dislike about the hotel and my experience there. the hotel was great. if there was something to dislike I would say but the hotel did not disappoint. oh, I forgot to mention the housekeeper was also very friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The room had high ceilings, a fridge, and a microwave. Staff was supper nice and helpful. It's also a quiet location. The pool was nice and clean. Right next to a sonic in case we got hungry at night.

Microwave didnt close right, and we didn't get it replaced. :( The restroom door was hard to open and close.

The location was on Padre Island, short drive to the Mustang State Park. We parked in front of our door. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Strangely, Fox News and Fox Business channels on TV were scrambled in the evening, but OK during the day. All other channels were fine.

The location was great. You can see the beach houses, the gulf, and a pool to relax in after a long drive. Towels were furnished. The beds are comfortable. The room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent.

I didn't like the fact I had to check out. I would have rented a couple more days if we weren't traveling.

I love the free breakfast. Love having the pool available even with the beach so close. Love that it’s dog friendly. Love the quality of the rooms especially the suite.

the one complaint I have (which is so small that I won’t knock any stars or lower my rating) is that this is the kind of hotel that gives you the small square pillows to sleep with. instead of providing normal queen size pillows or even King size pillows, the pillows they have on their beds are too small for a good night sleep. Last stay we had, we stayed in the suite which had a pullout couch. when we called for extra bedding for the pullout, we were provided with bedding but they had already ran out of pillows from other guests realizing the small pillows would not be enough. This place is almost perfect if they would just provide normal sized pillows.

The staff is awesome; especially Holly is so fun and helpful. Really appreciate the heart-felt, positive energy she brings to the place. The hotel is almost 30 years old, and they are working on updates the best they can. We initially had a room without a freezer unit upon check-in, and they immediately moved us to a much nicer room upstairs with a freezer. Such a great customer experience! Thank you again!

I really liked our stay .I do think they should be trash cans out by the picnic tables it's a small area, but at least 1 can will do.
