location, clean and comfortable with everything you need. set in pretty courtyard gardens on southern side of the wall. 100m from one of the gates.
no 24 hr reception but self check-in machine easy to use and there's a number to call if you need help.

The location was good, right outside the old town walls. A park with excellent view of Spanish plains is only a short walk away. It was quiet except of the cars going by in the street next to the hotel. The housekeepers were nice and one of them fix my soap dispenser. Room and hallways were kept very clean.
Check-in experience was bad. I received an email saying that no one will be at the reception until after 2pm. I arrived at almost 4pm and no one was around. I was told by a person via intercom to use a machine to enter my reservation number and get my key. It was frustrating because the check in machine was not working properly. Finally, I was told by another person via the intercom that my keys are upstairs at the restaurant. Why did they say so before telling me to use the machine?

I loved the hotel building itself -- a renovated 16th C house with exposed stone and brick walls, wooden beams in the ceiling, odd angles, unusual windows, and a view of the City Walls. The other one of my windows looked out onto a charming garden. The room decor was modern, crisp, clean, and innovative in its adaptation to the 16th C building. Having toured Toledo a few days before and seen the re-creation of El Greco's kitchen and studio, the hotel building and room allowed me to feel as if I was in that time. Finally, the location, just outside the city walls, was excellent. The advance work from the staff to guide me to the closest parking garage was particularly appreciated.
It was all great fun.

Very nice structure and very well located, right at the entrance to the old city walls. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and cozy. Mine also had a small old window facing the valley, with a very nice view. The room had a table which was good for working. The hotel has also a restaurant, I tried it the first night and was very satisfied with the food.
If wanting to find something negative, the hotel provides breakfast only in the weekend (I booked without breakfast though). There was occasionally a bad smell in the ground floor (but the rooms were perfectly fine).

For a budget hotel it was excellent. We had a generously appointed room in a quiet part of the hotel. It was annexed to an excellent restaurant with direct access. A short walk provided access to the old wall town. Secure garage parking was within 100 meters. I was particularly impressed by the grab rails affording security when using the over bath shower. Sadly lacking in other hotels I have used. Not exceptional but more than satisfactory. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Breakfast was between 9.45 and 10.30 am. Though of excellent value it was a little late.

Perfect location just by the walls of Avila. Our room was spacious and there was a garden opposite where we sat to chill a couple of times. The staff were lovely, Katya gave us loads of helpful information when we checked in so we made the most of our time. We ate twice at the restaurant as the food was exceptional and again the staff were lovely. 100% recommended!

Just outside the walls of Avila so close to the sites, restuarants and churches. Very reasonable price. Katherine at the front desk was very helpful and displayed great customer service.
There was no breakfast served or restaurant/ bar open or available during our stay. The room was very warm but was able to open the window.

Cute, atmospheric hotel. Large room, with internal view over small garden. Location, basically in the city walls, was ideal for exploring the city. Free parking on the street up the hill from the hotel, but within about 300 metres. There was a receptionist present upon our arrival which made check in easier than expected (because reception is not 24 hours).

The location was right by one of the gates into the city and also by a park with a beautiful view overlooking the land and mountains in the distance. The building was old but modernized. There was someone at the desk from morning till about 8pm. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The property was spotless and modern. It's right outside the city walls, and is an easy walk into the historic district while being quiet at night. We parked in a garage just a few feet down the street.
Internet was spotty with frequent disconnects.
