What a lovely, quaint place to stay. It’s very rural. The directions were easy to follow to get there. You need a car to get about from The Stables. The room was cosy, comfortable, very clean and warm. The shower was powerful. There are some nice pubs to eat in just a short drive away. We stayed there for two nights whilst we went to the NEC which was only a short drive away.

The shower made the bathroom damp and there wasn’t any heating working in the bathroom to dry it out. It wasn’t a cold bathroom, just needed extra heat to dry the floor.

Although the details stated breakfast was not provided there were croissants, waffles, jams & butter to help us start the day along with the tea & coffee which was very welcome. The room & bathroom were plenty big enough for 2 adults & the facilities adequate with lots of nice touches. The information sent by the owners prior to our arrival also helped - codes for the gate & room door along with directions. There is no reception. We did struggle to find the property a bit as it was a very dark & wet evening & it is in a remote area (but this made it nice and quiet too which is what we like). Knowle is not far away so we had a nice evening meal in the town and the NEC is also within reasonable distance which was the reason for us visiting the area.

The track from the road to the stables is rough with a lot of potholes but this would not put us off staying again and the main entrance was a bit difficult to spot in bad weather.

Location. Information. Additional ‘breakfast’ although not mentioned on website. I’ll be back! I did find the property difficult to locate in the dark. But I persevered and all was well. Everything was perfect. I had an excellent rest / night’s sleep, and I’m am an insomniac and have been for 52 years!!

Location / signage, especially in the dark. I used the postcode and could be more precise so I ended up driving up and down the road very slowly to find the entrance. The communication before my arrival was exceptional. I’m also glad I was driving a 4x4. My other car is a Mercedes SLK. I don’t think it would have done well down the long drive.

The location was perfect, out of the way enough to avoid the hustle and bustle, but still a short 10-15 minute trip to anything we could need or want for. Out hosts were friendly and accommodating, even going so far as to let us use their laundry room (we are travelling around a lot and can't always find a laundromat). The rooms were cosy and warm. And the animals on the property were an absolute joy.

The bed and pillows were quite firm. We got use to it by day 3, but the first couple of nights were a bit harder to get comfortable with.

Beautiful location, well equipped and perfect for our 2 night stay for family celebration nearby. We loved our walk to see the red deer in the far paddock and enjoyed our morning coffee and breakfast outside on the patio watching the wild rabbits on the lawn and the horses being brought back from the paddocks. Very peaceful and nice to have croissants and tea and coffee in room. Great value .

The only criticism we have about our room was the wooden bed frame was dried out and very creaky which meant every time you moved even slightly in bed it woke us up. Would probably recommend a new bed in that room but otherwise very happy.

Beautiful and tranquil setting surrounded by buttercup fields and an abundance of wildlife right outside your door. We stayed in stable 2 which was nicely decorated and came with a lovely outdoor seating area to the front and rear. We were going to the resorts world arena in the evening so walked to the local pub (The black Boy, 25mins away) and enjoyed some delicious pub food before getting a taxi to the arena (£20), All in all a fantastic stay. 10/10

A travel lodge is possibly closer and cheaper to the NEC (if you book 6 months in advance) but where's the enjoyment in that? If however you just want some P&Q In the countryside then there really is no downside.

Beautiful grounds, super cute animals and lovely clean, comfortable and easily accessible room with all the essentials plus some tasty pastries. Shower pressure is incredible. Heating was amazing (and much needed!). Great place for getting some offline time. I loved waking up to see the horses peaking out of the stables right next to my car. Will absolutely return!

Nothing i didnt like specifically, internet use isn't encouraged so if you're looking to get some work done or stream anything its not the right place.

The location was perfect for us as we were attending a wedding nearby. A calming and peaceful setting and having the horses in the stables opposite was just wonderful. The bed was super comfy and the shower was fabulous and very invigorating. It was a cosy little chalet and very clean.

These little converted stables are on a farm, and there is a very long winding lane leading to them. There are numerous pot holes so you really have to take extra care when driving and sadly the very wet weather didn't help at all..

The rooms were a good size and the shower too. The bed was comfortable, and the bed linen clean. The facilities were excellent including fresh croissants and jams for breakfast. TV worked as did the wifi. There was a pub literally 5 mins away, which during the Summer, you can walk to from the property. Its by the canalside. The provision of a ramp to access the room was also a much appreciated addition.

The driveway to the property. It had significant pot holes along its long length. There was evidence that it was starting to be filled in, so we hope that on our next visit, this will be significantly improved.

The scenery and area around the stables was lovely. The staff were polite and easy to communicate with. They even checked to make sure everything was okay a few hours in. The chalet, was clean and comfortable. We had croissants and waffle’s complimentary to the chalet which was nice. There was an iron & ironing board which is a nice touch also. The front door is a stable door that which is a lovely touch and adds to the theme of the place.

This would be me being picky as I loved our stay. Maybe just a bottle of water as it’s quite remote and I only brought fizzy drinks and alcohol.
