Beautiful, stylisch and cozy hotel with tastefully decorated rooms. The hotel restaurant is known for its delicious cuisine. The pool area is very nice and oversees the rocky sea, which is 10 m across the promanade, which takes you to sandy beaches where you can swim. The hotel has a small fitness room and an indoor swimming pool. Above all, we appreciated the top service and the professional and kind staff. Out of the many nice hotels in Andalusia and Marbella, we highly recommend the El Oceano.

Location excellent. Breakfast, lunch and 2 dinners excellent. Staff very friendly and professional. Bar area had lovely atmosphere with a great choice of drinks with great bar staff. Went to the Elton John tribute night with 3 course meal which was very good.

We had a studio apartment, that was compact that could be altered to be bigger without the kitchenette, all you need is the fridge and the good assortment of teas, coffee, and water that were replenished daily. Bathroom lacked storage for toiletries and was 'tired'. Shower was not very good. Pillows were very hard.

Everyday the day beds around pool are hired out from 11am, there are around 15 of these beds and this does mean everyday there is a party atmospheres as beds predominately hired by groups of people coming for the day to have a party. I have done this myself previously on a Sunday and it is great fun, it is my mistake as I thought this only happened on that day. while on holiday I would have preferred a more relaxing time and not feeling as if I’m gatecrashing someone’s party whenever I go into the pool.

Location, food, ambience altogether an extremely good hotel.

My only complaint was that there was a wedding going on which when we booked we had not been informed of. We were not allowed to sit round the pool area which I found a little annoying, we should have been told when booking there were restrictions on areas.

Probably one of the very best hotels I’ve stayed in for a very long time, the staff are unbelievable (so friendly and accommodating) even the owner and his son were on hand to say hello Brilliant food and entertainment on the afternoon (poolside) and evening (restaurant) Just first clsss for everything

Amazing beach club hotel. The pool vibe is excellent, super comfy sun beds, great pool, swim up bar, excellent service, great food, plenty of things on the doorstep. One we will 100% return to. Room size was ok, bed comfy. Rooms opposite with seaview just looked amazing if you have the budget it would be worth it.

Wish we could have stayed longer and in a sea view room. I'd happily spend a month here.

All the staff were excellent. We stayed in a penthouse which was unusually designed but the designer committed to the design and I think pulled it off. Not the average hotel room design and a few unique features I had not seen before. A family member stayed in a conventional room and that too had a slightly quirky feel to it.

The property feels like it is badly designed but this is being compensated for by a revamp and the quality of staff. Lots of very minor issues such as a strange reception located on the bottom step of the main stairs, the corridor outside our room was used for storage overflow. But these were minor issues for us. It also felt like its disability access was shoe-horned in, but again the hard work of staff made up for the building's failings.

The receptionist who checked us in was excellent. Loved the suite with beautiful view of the sea. Loved the breakfast presentation. Very attentive bar staff and everyone was friendly. A lovely hotel.

I didn’t like the steps to reception desk. It seemed like the desk was in the wrong position at the foot of a flight of stairs. I didn’t like that there was a private party going on in the bar which we had not been informed of so it felt like we were uninvited guests at someone’s party!

Food was excellent, breakfast we very special over looking the sea. Everything about the hotel was brilliant, super attentive staff, amazing meals. You can't fault the location. You definitely need GPS to locate hotel for the first time but once there, its a knockout place to be. Thanks so much, we will be back.....

Some of rooms are slightly tired but understand these are being refurbished later this year. Service corridor near our room was a bit of a tip but didn't hinder our enjoyment of our stay. I am sure the management will attend to it.....

Firstly the team that works there are just absolutely fantastic, the location is amazing. The food is fab, such a relaxing place. They knew it was my birthday and not only left a surprise for me in our room but also surprised at dinner with a big candle with my dessert.

We would prefer perhaps for the breakfast to be different - a buffet area for fruit, yoghurts, cereals etc and then order if you want full English brekkie or scrambled eggs on toast - it was the only part we would change.
