What a find The Bear Inn is! Delicious dinner and very comfortable overnight stay. The food was extremely good, we had dinner and breakfast, both exceptional. great atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, very welcoming feel. What really makes this place shine are the exceptional staff, they can't do enough to help, courteous, polite, very knowledgeable about the food and wines provided. They work to an exceptionally high standard. Our room was beautifully fitted out with no expense spared on the fixtures and fittings, very comfortable bed and stylishly decorated throughout. Overall a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.

Nothing!

The property is ABSOLUTELY stunning, the rooms are gorgeous with the biggest and comfiest beds you will probably ever sleep on. The staff are so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was to die for (still dreaming about it now), unlimited drinks and a little breakfast starter was incredible. Me and my friend stayed for a wedding in the local area are were £2 short of the taxi fare, Sharon who was working there gave us £5 as a gesture of goodwill. So grateful for her and all the staff there for making us feel so welcome and helping us since we didn’t arrive back until early hours of the morning.

Nothing at all!

The rooms were nicely decorated, very comfortable and well equipped. The staff very helpful and informative. I would recommend eating in the restaurant, the food is contemporary but really lovely. The breakfast is very substantial and caters for all tastes. A very special place to stay

The restaurant prices are a little steep, but they are delicious, artistically presented and Michelin Start standard, and you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend eating here.

The food was exceptional 5* quality for taste. The bedroom was so well appointed with a comfortable mattress. The bathroom and plush towels were delightful, it felt very luxurious. The place was immaculately clean

Main courses at dinner were pricey considering the size. Entree's and desserts were small but price ok. We found the winter quilt too warm in July and the pillows too hard for us. The walk in shower flooded the entire bathroom floor.

Loved this place. The rooms are gorgeous and the food is exceptional.

Tiny comment but the music in the restaurant was not quite in keeping and took away from the experience. It was bad wedding/disco music or pop. Would really elevate it to have something more in keeping with the hip aesthetic e.g. Hermanos Gutierrez, Jon McKiel, Ignacio Maria Gomez, Kevin Morby, Cymande, Drug Cabin, Katy J Pearson, Simon Joyner, Joan Shelley, Dave Van Ronk, Kurt Vile, Charley Crockett, Arooj Aftab, Allah-Las, Kokoroko…the list goes on. Hopefully that helps!

The room wasa nice size, comfortable and decor was lovely. Full power shower appreciated Staff helpful and friendly. Food was delicious at the bar in the evening. Lovely breakfast. I had a lovely one night stay. Will be back

The tv kept cutting out on the morning of departure and the WiFi wasn't very strong signal could not text or call. This would not stop me staying again.

Such a friendly place with a very positive ambience. Nothing is too much trouble The accommodation is in several out-buildings around a very attractive courtyard. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The food is of the highest order.

It wasn't a problem for us but some of the rooms are reached by staircase so people with mobility issues should be aware.

Whoever designed this place from the original pub or inn is seriously clever. The Bear Inn from a hundred metres gives the appearance of a traditional village inn. When you arrive there is tons of space, including car park. The outside has tables and chairs that are surprisingly comfortable. The accommodation comprises several bedrooms. Comfortable bed. Evening meal of a high standard. Breakfast could be Shropshire 'full English', veggie with mushrooms or an excellent smoked salmon and scrambled. The little extras with the compote were a treat.

Not much really. I have seen larger sea bass fillets but the meal itself was divine - so multum im parvo perhaps.

The room was very comfortable, slept like a log in the bed. Bathroom was very spacious and we both really enjoyed using the shower. Clean room, great facilities, and the breakfast on both mornings we were there was absolutely delicious!

Not much surrounding the hotel, but I knew this already as I knew the area. We were only staying over for a local wedding and knew in advance.

Would fully recommend staying here at the Bear Inn. The inn was very charming, room spacious and very clean.

Food was excellent but for us personally the breakfast could have been different. Great suggestion for the sharer plater at the start but the actual cooked breakfast was a bit of a let down. Never seen a sausage pattie before and not sure if I want to again, poached egg was uncooked and the breakfast would have been more acceptable with a bacon rasher not streaky. In saying this, it wouldn't put us off from coming again.
