What a fantastic hotel - one of the best I have stayed in for some time - booked deluxe double with spa access - the room was fantastic - coffee and tea making facilities as well as a mini bar -very comfortable and spotless- room came with 1 hour free spa access which was fabulous - we used the restaurant where the food and local wine were just perfect - breakfast was included in the price and the buffet as well as hot table service was perfect - a credit to the hotel were the staff who were so helpful and friendly - I look forward to my next stay at this and other hotels in the group 👍

Although the hotel is really great in all aspects we would say the staff here are what makes this hotel special. All very welcoming and clearly very well trained in all aspects of making their guests feel special. Our room although a standard was large and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and had a lovely meal with good wine and we felt it offered very good value for money. Breakfast also very good with plenty of choice. Will return for sure when we drive South next year.

My only very small comment would be that the spa was hard to find as no signage that I could see within the hotel. I had to go to reception for directions

Amazing grounds , perfect for having a wander late afternoon with the dogs, didn’t bring my costume so didn’t get to try the spa facilities. Huge bed and the biggest room we’ve had this whole holiday. Room 118 there is an outside door for taking the dog out first thing, they give you a bed , bowl and treat for the dogs which was a lovely touch. Clean room. Staff all very friendly and you can eat with your dog on a table out of the restaurant and all the staff couldn’t do enough to cater to our needs having a dog. We will return.

€30 per dog a little strap with 2 small dogs. The bathroom fan didn’t seem to work so you had to de-mist the bathroom mirror after a shower… more a maintenance thing with that as the room could go mouldy if it’s not fixed soon.

Everything was fantastic! All staff were friendly, helpful and professional from reception, restaurant, lifeguard, and bar staff. Cleanliness of entire place, brilliant. Lots of towels in room and poolside towel provided at pool. Wi-Fi throughout hotel as well as outside by the pool and grounds. Swimming pool and surrounding grounds very relaxing with bar service! Check out at 12 so could enjoy a morning by the pool after a great breakfast! We had our two dogs with us who had bowls, beds and snacks ready for them in the room. Pet friendly indoor restaurant was great.

Nothing. The only niggle was that it was maybe a bit pricy, but to be honest you do have to pay for quality!

The hotel itself is located just a mile away from Caceres which when passing through it and on the approach to the hotel appeared to be a heavily built up, semi industrial and populated area with high rise flats. On arrival it may take you a few minutes to figure out where reception is as all the signs around the hotel are tiny and far from user friendly. The rooms themselves are quite well appointed with the usual coffee making facilities, TV, a safe, hairdryer etc. There is a small mini bar but be warned it is overly expensive, for example a small bag of crisps is €5 and a small bottle of coke is €6 The staff are all very friendly, courteous and helpful In a so called 5* even in this warm climate you would not expect to find any trace of black mould in the shower/bath area. However, in our room there was and it was clear to see. Non secure parking is available in the car park, however considering the nearby surrounding area if you are on a motorbike you may want to consider booking a place in the underground garage. This is secure but even for a motorbike it will cost you €15 per night. This hotel and its grounds are vast and it has a lovely pool with a relaxing poolside bar and other quiet chilling areas. The restaurant serves very nice, well presented food and the breakfast is very very impressive. A nice hotel but typically for a 5* hotel (Really a 4* with a Spa) they have maximised every opportunity to help you empty your wallet.

Because it’s got a 5* rating it feels necessary to inflate the price of consumables above many other hotels. €5 for a small bag of crisps is excessive.

Our 2nd visit to this hotel....the location is on the outskirts of Caceres but good access to the main roads and for touring the National Park close by! The twin room was spacious and with ensuite facilities, clean and comfortable! Parking can be underground with an extra charge or outside parking for free - some steps to negotiate! Staff were friendly and helpful with getting luggage to the room. The biggest major change was the new swimming pool and pool side restaurant!!! What a surprise! This gives choices to where you can eat without leaving the hotel. We chose to eat both nights at the poolside restaurant as we could take our dog...the choices were interesting and the waiters, who spoke no English at all, were helpful and very jolly! One night there was a pianist!!! The tables overlook the pool and was lovely lit up at night! Again we had lovely warm weather. All very enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent and again had outside seating....the waitress was very helpful, cheerful and friendly!

This spa hotel near Caceres, not far from the border town of Badajoz, provided an excellent overnight stop on our drive through Spain to Portugal. The welcome was very warm, and we were impressed with the location, and the facilities. We didn't try the spa treatments or the pool, so cannot comment on those, but the price of your stay will reflect the fact this is a spa hotel - and you should be aware of that. For us, it was a hotel in exactly the right place geographically, offering superb comfort (great bed, superb shower - instant hot water and great pressure, and a bath in our suite). We also had an outdoor balcony and seating area. From the balcony, we ate room service pizza - which I must say was one of the finest pizzas we have had anywhere, serenaded by the birds, watching the sunset off in the west. We could also see the hotel's famed storks' nests, which have been made in specially erected poles in the hotel's grounds - a lovely touch. Breakfast was superb, lots of juices, lots of cooked options in a buffet style, coffee, etc, and the staff were really friendly. The Breakfast area itself is absolutely lovely, and you can pick from a salon-style area, with a dry fountain, and a lantern window roof, or the restaurant area. The overwhelming feeling was of breakfast in a light, airy, cheerful space, which offered cosiness, comfort. The same area is where dinner is served, so must be really rather nice in the evenings too. Food was, as a I say, exceptional throughout.

I felt our balcony area looked a little tired, but it did serve - because, of course, you look out from a balcony, you don't sit staring at the balcony itself. However, the rest of the hotel is so immaculate, it stood out. It felt a little like it was "out of sight, out of mind".

Best / relaxing stopover en route - left rejuvenated with spa facility included in price of the room .From genuine friendly welcome to saying good bye or" see you next month in our case as will repeat the stay on the way back to Santander - encountered the team of dedicated and professional personnel. Dinner setting restaurant and quality made our evening fully appreciated. Easy access from motorway- options of secure and free parking outside hotel inc charging spot for electric vehicles .No hesitation in recommending to anyone searching for quality in every sense. Thank you for other travellers reviews that prompted me to make this choice !

A beautifully appointed and serene atmosphere at this hotel with exceptionally friendly and professional staff. The decor of the hotel was exquisite and the spa thrown in was a delight. The service in the restaurant was superb with excellent advice given by the maitre D. The palace in town associated with this hotel is well worth a visit. I would happily live there.

A shame it was too cool to use the pool. The location meant driving into town which is well worth a visit as it is a Unesco heritage site. Also the price is a bit steep unfortunately but it is a quality hotel.

The staff were efficient and friendly. We were taken to our suite and necessary information given on the way.. The room was lovely, we were upgraded to a junior suite with a sitting area downstairs and the bed upstairs. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linens very good quality. It was very quiet at night which is always a major plus. It was also very pleasant to walk in the grounds around the hotel and see the storks nesting on their perches.

Too much salt in the food.
