July 2024
My husband and I stayed at Bramlies B&B for 5 nights during July 2024 and were absolutely delighted with our time spent there ! The accommodation is clean and comfortable, the area is quiet and relaxing and the bed was so comfortable. Our host Alison was exceptional ! We were welcomed with a big smile , tea and cake upon arrival and were served a plentiful and delicious breakfast on the decking area al fresco every morning at the time of our choosing . Alison was always happy and willing to give advice and recommendations about the local area and the best places to visit while we were there. We highly recommend Bramlies as the perfect place to stay when visiting Dorchester and the surrounding area. We have reserved to stay there again next summer when we travel from Hong Kong to spend time with my brother and his family in nearby Poundbury .
nothing that we didn't like actually. The place was clean , comfortable with ample parking outside the premises. Our host Alison was great and couldn't have done more top make us feel more welcome and looked after.

Close to Dorchester centre, this was the perfect place for us to stay to not only explore the interesting town on foot but to also take part in The Sunflower Stride 10k & enjoy the annual Dorchester Cider Festival. Our clean, cosy & well-equipped twin room, with lovely little touches and attention to detail, couldn't have been better! The super-comfy beds & quiet surroundings ensured that we slept like logs! Our host Alison, honestly goes above and beyond to help her guests, warmly welcoming you with tea and cake as well as offering plentiful recommendations for places to eat & sights to see. The piece de resistance was of course THE best three course breakfast we have ever tasted and homemade marmalade to take home! We would highly recommend this gem of a B&B & will definitely be back! Alison was amazing. The room(s) were perfect for our little family unit. Everything was prepared and waiting (we arrive late in the evening on the day of our arrival). The next morning's breakfast was perfect and provided a wonderful start to the day (and additional requests were taken for the next day's breakfast as well - and a spread was purchased so my son could enjoy spread on his toast!). Check-out was smooth, couldn't have asked for a better stay!!

Liked the fact the accommodation is seperate from the family home. The hostess and her mother were very friendly.
The policy here is to to leave you alone and for you to contact the hostess if you needed anything. Sounds good but not perfect. It meant, beds weren't made up. The bed wasn't emptied during our 3 nights stay. The tea /coffee items were not replenished on a daily basis, but had to.be asked for. Requested use of ironing board but only a travel ironing board provided. The shower unfortunately kept switching from hot to cold. Hope the hostess sees this as positive feedback as we did enjoy our stay but it just needs a few tweaks.

We loved the property, it was very clean and comfortable, with a sitting room, bedroom and ensuite. Our host, Alison made us feel so welcome, especially with her three course breakfasts! We really enjoyed our chats with her and thank her for all the great advice on places to visit. If we ever return to the UK, we would have no hesitation in staying again.
Not a thing.

We were located in a garden suite, rather than the main house, which gave us an extra level of privacy. The breakfasts, which were delivered on a trays as we completed each course, were excellent. The hostess even gave us homemade marmalade to bring back to Canada! She was also really helpful in telling us of things we could do in and around Dorchester and ran us into the town centre when it was raining, although it is with walking distance.
Everything met or exceeded our expectations.

The breakfast was excellent and really good value. The only downside was having to eat in our bedroom one morning because it was wet, but the breakfast was such good value and the service so nice that it didn't matter.
If I could improve one thing, I would say that the pillows are very full so weren't as comfortable as I'm used to.

I booked a lovely little room with a private bathroom as described in the ad. Everything was clean and fresh, it is clear that the owner pays a lot of attention to everything to be at the highest level. And, of course, wonderful homemade breakfasts, cooked for you, like for yourself. I usually never give the highest score.

The rooms are lovely but best of all is the kindest and attention of the host, she is truly lovely and goes a million miles further than needed. She helped us through a very tough time in the local hospital and made a huge difference to us all. Can't speak highly enough of her.

As a family with a toddler normally you expect to be cooped up in one room and then have to tip toe round after bed time. What a lovely surprise to find We had a separate living room. Not only that the service was expectional, breakfast fruit platter. My son just loved it and so did we. Exceptional service don't go to a hotel come here!!
Nothing would book again
