It was pretty convenient, because we were doing the ring road and we needed a place to spend the night before arriving into Reikiavik again. It was in front of a restaurant that serves food from morning to 10 pm, which is not common in Iceland. There’s a gas station pretty near the property and a supply store. The room was spacious and clean.

We arrived into the property and there was no one at the reception. We had to call a number that was printed in a paper sheet on the window. But it wasn’t bad because they arrived maybe 5 minutes before we called.

Lots of good things about this guesthouse, super clean, well laid out, and a really good kitchen area with full facilities. The room was a good size, and the beds were comfortable. The room was modern and nicely furnished.

Unfortunately there were three things that made our stay less comfortable, like many of the places we have stayed in in Iceland, this room was very hot, and the window could not be propped open, it is very difficult to get a good night's sleep without ventilation. The lock on the door was difficult to open (minor issue) finally we could it rather strange that the en suite bathroom had no door, just a shower curtain. Although there were toilets next door to the room, we think that it would improve the room to add a door to the en suite!

This property is kept meticulously. Very quiet room. Everything worked. Room was beautifully wood-paneled, with a blackout blind (I was there when the midnight sun was up) and it seemed like everything was brand new. Bed was excellent—very comfortable. Proprietor was extremely warm and friendly and helpful. I loved the room and the location was perfect—right in the center of town with everything within easy walking distance.

I cannot think of anything I didn’t like.

Nice modern accommodation in the Guest House. Very comfortable room and en-suite bathroom. Some early evening noise from the next room but it wasn’t a problem. Had access to a very large well equipped kitchen and dining area. Pleasant staff. Short walk to the restaurant across the road.

Nothing to dislike

This was a good location. Across the street was a gas station and a restaurant, a few minutes, drive from the community pool. The host was very friendly and helpful. You share a common area with tables in the kitchen. Room had a private bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and we had our best night sleep here. 

The natural surroundings of the property are beautiful. Reindeer played in the field in front of the guesthouse. Glacier was visible from the property.

No food at night. Hotel within driving distance and a restaurant is not far away.

We stayed in the main lodge, which is wood paneled, well heated, features an expansive kitchen, and was overall very cozy. The man who welcomed us and checked us in was very nice. A supermarket and restaurants are within short walking distance.

Host brilliant and helpful kitchen well equipped they even done a bit of laundry free of charge

Beautiful place, very cozy and clean. Close to town, but extremely quiet and silent during the night. Shared kitchen well furnished and spotless clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

Spacious accommodation for a family. Large kitchen available, with absolutely great equipment. Nearby is a shop, playground, swimming pool with water slides.
