- Welcoming staff, very familial feel. - Beautiful food - Lovely decor and very clean - Great location for a quiet break away
- The room was quite damp, I could feel it on the sheets and our clothes. - The hotel has a restaurant and a bar (serves food). We arrived on a Saturday and were told both were open however when trying to book a table we were then told the restaurant was closed and the bar was almost fully booked via local use. They were accommodating and squeezed us in however it was concerning that we almost had nowhere to get food given the hotel is in an isolated location.

The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful, the bar the Thirsty Duck is excellent and very welcoming. We found the manager Mo particularly good, also one of the owners were present and providing service.
The only issue we encountered were that the rooms are small, however they are very comfortable and very clean.

Couldn’t fault this place at all. Mo met us as we arrived and really couldn’t be any nicer or helpful. The hotel is spotless and the food was amazing and reasonably priced. The drinks were also priced well compared to some of the rip off hotels we stay at. I am already looking to book for family party weekend.

The owner was lovely, the beds and pillows were so comfortable to the point I need to know the name of the bed company, (I took a photo of the pillow brand). The place was very clean and staff engaging. Lovely surroundings.
If I had to make a comment, and am only doing as I have been asked, it would have been nice to have an option of brown bread for breakfast. But please note there was a vast selection of other items and this does not quantify any lower grade then a 10!!!

I had the continental type breakfast two mornings. My husband had one continental and one cooked breakfast. It was not exactly a typical type full Irish breakfast so I think that there could be a little improvement there.
Our room was too warm at night.

The staff / owners were brilliantly helpful, welcoming and efficient. The location is amazing - very quiet with owls and lots of other birds as well as sika deer roaming in the forest. Nestled within the Baronscourt estate, whose own titular background (Duke of Abercorn, etc.) reflects the unhappy to-ing and fro-ing of Ulster's history, there is a lot to see and reflect on if once you slow down to the pace of this tranquil spot. The hotel is an old school (now extended) house built in 1888 with lovely areas for sitting and reading. The breakfast / dining room is delightful. Gortin Glen and the Sperrins are nearby with great walks up Mullaghcarn where you get amazing views of the Blue Stacks and Mount Errigal in Donegal (weather dependent, of course). Strabane and Omagh are both a 20-minute drive and it's only 40 minutes (when the traffic is clear) to/from Derry airport. If this isn't God's own country, then I'd like to claim it for myself. The hotel has a nice 'wee bar' at the back with friendly staff, live music on a Saturday evening (when I was there), a very decent pint indeed and the locals are friendly. The breakfast also was very good.
The room I had didn't have a pleasant view (I guess not every room can have wonderful views, but I didn't ask for that anyway so this isn't really a complaint!) and it was a little cell-like, but it was perfectly functional and quiet, with a nice en-suite, a great shower and very clean. Wi-fi was somewhat intermittent but then again, you are out in the country here and 'intermittent' does mean that it worked most of the time. The bar food menu was a bit lacking in much by way of veggie options but I have absolutely no doubt that the staff would have accommodated any food requests if I had asked. You get the feeling in The Cedar Lodge that anything you need is 'no bother at all' and in hospitality, that's 99% of it.

All was great, the Hotel, Room, Restaurant. I stayed for a business trip. But I definitely will come around again with my wife. Diner was excellent, Nice place to be. it gave me such a welcome / home feeling. with fire place an all. The room was stylish / boutique style. the bathroom clean. luxery all the way. Then the breakfast was great. The 3 sister really make this place shine. If you want to stay in the Area of Omagh. Stay at this this Hotel! best regards from the Netherlands. until the next time.

Location is amazing. Hotel itself is stunning. As soon as you walk in the front door, you're impressed. Decor is great. One of the 3 owners told us an interior designer relation had helped them set it up. It's gorgeous. Music speakers all throughout have excellent tunes playing. The bat is awesome. The rooms are awesome. The staff and owners are the nicest and warmest you'll ever meet. And the breakfasts were excellent too, for only a 5 pounds a person. Can't speak highly enough about this place. They've created a fantastic spot. And they were in the process of adding a hot tub and sauna while we were there. 5 stars.

Nicely located on the country, beautifull surronding, recently refurbished, simple but fully equiped rooms. A cosy bar/restaurant where one feels at home. Cooking largely meets espectations. Besides the team is super friendly!
It wasn't raining as expected 😀

Beautiful hotel. Really tastefully themed decor in the public areas and pleasant and relaxing in the rooms. The dining room is a beautifully restored old school with all the original windows and beams. The beds are so comfy. The very quiet rural setting was wonderfully peaceful. The staff are very friendly and always really helpful. We loved our stay here.
As we were attending the Bluegrass festival the hotel was a little difficult to access along minor country roads. The bar was very noisy and our triple room was above it -solved by staying up in the lounge area with a drink until it was quiet. 😃 No hardship for us as adults but could be a problem with children - but it WAS Saturday night.
