Wonderful staff. Comfortable room & bed, hot shower, tea & coffee in room. Great value. Excellent central location. Coles supermarket (fresh food, fruit, affordable ready-made meals, drinks, pastries, fresh coffee) and Priceline Pharmacy across street. QVB (Queen Victoria Building) at the corner (shops, fast food, cafes and restaurants — recommend Cellini’s!). Town Hall train station just down the street. Light rail one street over - so easy to get to Circular Quay & Sydney Opera House. Short walk to Darling Harbour.

I really liked how comfortable the hotel was and how close it was to my office. the rooms were very nice and tidy and it made me feel like home, the staff is always very friendly and I would definitely come back.

Really good value in a an awesome location. Was upgraded to a twin room from a single which was lovely. Netflix was handy. Could log into my own account during my stay.

The floor on level 4 smells a bit weird.

Just wanted to share my recent stay at Megaboom City Hotel in Sydney - it was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with such warmth and hospitality that I knew it was going to be a memorable experience. The rooms were super spacious, elegantly furnished, and had everything I needed for a comfy stay. And can we talk about the bedding? It was so plush and cozy, I had the best night's sleep! Big shoutout to the staff - they were incredible. The receptionists made check-in a breeze and even upgraded my room for free, plus they let me check in early! And James from housekeeping was an absolute gem - my room was always spotless thanks to him. The best part about the hotel was its location - right in the heart of the city! I could easily stroll to iconic spots like the Opera House and soak in its beauty, catch a show, or explore the nearby museums for a dose of culture. And let's not forget about the shopping! There were so many great shopping centers nearby, perfect for a bit of retail therapy. Overall, my stay at Megaboom Hotel was nothing short of amazing. The location, amenities, and service were top-notch, and I can't wait to come back on my next trip to Sydney. Cheers!

My experience here was AMAZING.

The room was reasonably spacious and smartly designed with a wardrobe and a small desk and chair as well as the ensuite. Despite the hotel being on a busy city street the room was well insulated so there was no noise at all. The staff at check in were very welcoming and even offered me a free room upgrade. The price was fair considering the convenient centre city location of the hotel.

Windows were locked shut so could not be opened for fresh air. It was hard to get a comfortable water temperature as the shower ran either scalding hot or very cold. There was easy open access all day from the street to the elevator which lead to all the rooms. This could possibly cause a security issue.

Great location, walking distance to Wynyard station, Queen Victoria Building, Darling Harbour, cafes and even a Coles Supermarket almost straight across the road. A longer walk down to The Rocks, Circular Quay etc. but still reasonable, just remember it's all uphill on the way back, but that's what trams are for! Lovely staff who I suspect are over-worked though, the poor girl on reception at 11pm had just got out of bed to greet me again at 7 am next morning

Poky rooms, even though I was told mine was one of the "larger" ones. But let's face it these "dogbox" hotels are quite common in cities everywhere and it's the price you pay for location and a reasonable rate. Don't stay here though if you don't enjoy having to do a vertical limbo past your suitcases to get to the bathroom.

Good location in CBD

Excellent value for money in a great location just 4 minutes walk along York St from the QVB. The big included surprise was the breakfast room where I could have coffee and toast with a variety of condiments. The building is old and there was no view from the window but for a short stay, it was perfect and very safe.

Megaboom is a right in the heart of the Town Hall area. I easily accessed the tram from QVB, and I was able to travel to the SCG, Randwick Raceway and Circular Quay with ease. There is a Coles Metro diagonally across the road, which meant that I could purchase food cheaply. The staff went out of their way to help me, and the room was adequate for my needs.

When I first saw my compact single room, I was surprised at how compact it was. However, I had everything I needed, and was comfortable. A

Amazing location, walking distance to shops, Circular Quay, Botanic gardens etc and also very handy for public transport and there was a supermarket across the road. My room was a great size, comfy bed and modern bathroom. I didn't hear any hotel or street noise and the blinds in the room blocked out the light, so I slept like a log! The staff were friendly and welcoming and I even received a bottle of wine when I checked in! I would 100% recommend this hotel and will stay again time I'm in Sydney.
