This is the second time we stayed in 2 single rooms at the Hotel Rural Alfajía de Antonio and again couldn't fault it. We had a lovely welcome where the various facilities of the town were explained to us and Alberto couldn't have been more helpful with booking us on the minibus to Alto del Chorillo for the ascent of Mulhacén. The rooms are well designed in a rural style with plenty of space and a comfortable bed after a days hiking. The bathroom is excellent with a powerful hot shower. Perhaps the highlight is the terrace with its fantastic views up and down the valley and of Capileira itself. The perfect spot for a cold beer after a day in the mountains.

Lovely relaxed 'hotel' in a quiet location in a stunning mountain village. Communal kitchenette where guests can make their own breakfast with a microwave and toaster, kettle and coffee machine with a dining/sitting area opening onto the large outdoor terrace with fabulous views. Stayed in January, rooms cosy and Alberto lit the wood burner in the living area each evening which is so welcoming in winter. Ideal location for walks and the village has plenty of eating choices. Lovely family run accommodation. Thank you.

It was the best hotel I've stayed at, don't get confused by the star rating. The attention to detail in all spaces was incredible. The rooftop terrace had amazing views and the kitchen had everything you need. The owner went out of his way to help me arrange a special occasion, and helped a lot with suggesting places to go and things to do in town. Thank you Alberto!

We had a lovely stay. What we loved most about this accommodation was the balcony and the communal kitchen. The views were breathtaking, and we met some lovely people at the Inn. It has a very friendly hostel-like vibe but with a bit more privacy.

Our room faced the street, so it was a bit noisy. If I were to go back, I would request a room in the back, where it would be quieter, and we could have some of the great views.

Access to a kitchenette with kettle coffee machine toaster and fridge was. And the wood burning stove in the kitchen/ sitting area was great for this time of year. Also the éntralos heating was turned on which added to my comfort.

Nothing. Accommodation exceeded my expectations. Although the bedroom did not have air conditioning which could be a drawback in summer.

The property is located some 200 m from the bus stop, it is well-organized and has good facilities. If you speak Spanish, the owner's wife will tell you everything about everything and a little more; if you do not... she would at least try. We got there in February and found out that the property is well prepared for freezing conditions - it was hot inside both in the evening and the next morning. We also liked the terrace, but could not use it much because of the weather. An excellent place to stay in Capileira (if it is available at all).

Nothing that would depend on the hotel. The only downside that I see is that the hotel isn't available often

My best stay traveling around Andalucia (14 nights), tastely equiped, even single room spatious and comfortable, bathroom spotlesly clean and functional, the terace with remarkable view and shared space very lovely decoraded and with all the equipment as listed especially good coffe machine. :) Staff welcoming and very informative, I felt their warmth and somehow it really felt like coming home. Parking available, restaurants, bars and shop just around the corner and so calm that you have to turn on your alarm clock to wake up in the morning. :) Thank you, Lola and Antonio! I would love to come back as soon as possible! :)

This place is everything a well-run small hotel should be. I was warmly welcomed and given an explanation about the local sights. I had a single room which was spotlessly clean with a powerful hot shower and heating which came on in the evening if it got cold. One of my favourite aspects was the rood terrace and ability to prepare simple food (there is a fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster for guest use). The weather was unseasonable warm and it was lovely to sit up there in the sunshine and admire the views. I'd love to stay again if in the area.

Our host Alberto could not be more helpful. Excellent recommendations for walks, restaurants and local shopping. The room was very clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. The balcony allow glimpses of the valley and the roof top terrace gave commanding view of the area. Communal cooking and eating facilities were excellent with a good coffee machine.

We did not stay long enough.
