The gentleman who seemed to be running everything was absolutely adorable. He is an older chap and very enthusiastic about providing great customer service. He clearly enjoys hosting and couldn't have made us more welcome. He even cooked the breakfast which was lovely and treated us like royalty.

When I first walked in I was a bit worried as the carpet in the communal areas had very large holes in. It is/was at some point a cream carpet but no longer. However the room was spotlessly clean and I think the carpet was clean just really worn out which is a shame as it creates a bad first impression. To be clear though I would still definitely stay here again.

Very friendly, extremely helpful host, who cooked a lovely breakfast to order for bang on 7am, as we requested .. Large car park in the grounds .. Eateries within a relatively short walking distance .. We went to Averna Italian, which was absolutely buzzing and served very good food and drink ..

I wouldn't say there was anything that I didn't like .. The property is oldish with oldish fittings and decor, but this didn't bother me ..

Location was easy to find. Staff was so kind and helpful. I travelled alone with my son and felt safe. good value for money. Shared bathroom which I was aware about and had no issues with. Room was clean. Had a sink in the room which was handy. Would stay here again.

A home from home feeling, great location and a lovely breakfast. The bed was really comfortable and the room was quiet. I did wake up to something scratching/eating something in the floor boards. This did not hinder my stay though

Absolutely fantastic host who made us feel so welcome over the weekend that we stayed! Beautiful area and view from our room. Everything was clean and bed was lovely!

Due to the age of the property, there were a few things like cracked paint in a few areas, and loose plug sockets! Nothing that a bit of investment couldn't solve but worth the money for the area that it is located in!

Great location for our needs of walking to/from sandown racecourse and walking to/from claygate train station. Very clean,Great breakfast and very friendly and helpful

Location, ease of check in. Additional towels when requested. Room was decent size and clean.

Very dated. Shower not powerful but OK on small size and we are not big people. Room next to us very loud as thin walls.

Peaceful location with good train link to waterloo station. Needs some new paint but all in the planning. House has lots of character and Charles is a great host.

Lovely breakfast and owner. From previous reviews knew it would be old fashioned /worn but it was but very clean and full of character.
