Perfect for those who don’t want to stay in a hostel but still want an affordable and private stay (with windows!) in Singapore. The single room is small, simple, and has all the basic facilities you need. It’s also clean. Totally worth the value. Toilet flush was broken but the staff came and showed me how to flush using their temporary attached string (which looked funny but it still worked!).

Noises from the outside, traffic, and streets. Took me a while to fall asleep at night. On the second night, I was awakened by the noise of someone playing loud music on the street in the car and partying at 5am. My windows were all closed but the noises were as if they were next to me. Bring earplugs if you don’t like noises when sleeping.

The location is great surrounding with many choice of restaurants

I stayed for 5 nights but the room never get cleaned each day. The first couple nights was ok then day 3-4, I found cockroaches in my room. It’s value for couple nights but not more. I paid over S$100 per night and I feel it’s not worth my money.

Revisiting after a few years. The locality is a familiar village peopled by seniors, working age and students, with heritage buildings alongside modern malls. Very convenient for public transport. A variety of well-subscribed restaurants serve simple, nourishing food. This budget hotel has been well maintained; its facilities remain very clean. My room was quiet. The reception staff made an effort to accommodate me upon my check-in slightly ahead of time.

Complimentary coffee, tea sachets could include options for plain black (as opposed to 3-in-1). Amenities are otherwise very good.

Next to Balestier street, which gives it a good location, however the street can be noisy even during the night hours. The sound isolation of windows is not very good.

Staff very helpful. Conceirge active throughout the day. Room comfortable with standard amenities and generous supplies (water, Tea, coffee, toiletries). Noise free. Location excellent. Limited options on TV/ cable. Room make up only on Mondays.

Wash basin is inside the room. Room make-up is on Monday only as we stayed longer.

Best location - just a few steps from the bus stops, restaurants and stores. Area is not noisy and I had an awesome view from my room. Room is great - not too small for me - hot water shower working. Comfy bed,.

Definitely need more work on cleanliness, there was a roach in the room, not a big deal for me though.
