Great place, fantastic location at the beach. Staff was were nice and super-friendly. The hotel restaurant by the sea side is simply amazing. Excellent food and a superb scenery. This is also where you have breakfast. I saw some reviews with people complaing it's not a breakfast buffet but "just" seven items that you select from the menu. Well, for me it was plenty, I managed to consume seven really tasty items and had enough for the entire day.

You need to know this: The city view is really not spectacular. Sometimes city view from a higher floor can even be nicer than ocean view. Not hear, though. On the city side you look at buildings in the foreground which are just not very nice to look at. So definitely choose the sea side for you room, if you are willing to spend a little more. I heard that restaurant and bar staff don't get the tips when you add them to the card. Very bad! Shame on whosoever is in charge of this policy. So please give cash tips!

The location is the best, on the beach, great views and in the middle of shopping district. You can walk to the cruise port.

We loved everything about our stay! It is a great location. Special acknowledgment to Neera, Indira and Naomi at the front desk for being so helpful and friendly. The Ocean Lounge is clutch with the great food options throughout the day. Shout out to our morning servers of Jacinia and Lucia with their warm smiles. Our room on the 4th floor was spotless (Thank you Michelle) and the bed was very comfortable. The beach section is also well kept with beach chairs and umbrellas for all of HHBH guests. Reuben, a beach attendant, was so professional, attentive and courteous to us. Couldn't do enough for everyone. I just loved the entire vibe and cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of Phillipsburg on Front Street, and the beach is immediately in the back of the hotel. The staff was professional, friendly, and responsive. During our stay, we asked for additional blankets, which were brought up to our room while we were on the beach. We also arranged to rent a car for the day, and the hotel staff made all of the arrangements; the car was delivered to the hotel and then picked up from the hotel once we were done. The beach staff are very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed having snacks and drinks beachside. The hotel restaurant is very good. We included breakfast with our stay, and I highly recommend doing that, as we looked forward to the breakfast each day. We also had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant, and they were excellent. During our stay, we ate out at various restaurants in and around Phillipsburg, and the hotel restaurant was the best quality.

The property is so CLEAN and perfectly located if you’re in SXM if you’re there to shop and eat. Unfortunately, I visited during the low season so a lot of places were closed but I could imagine the Boardwalk would be popping during the high season. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. I’m terrible with names but special mention goes to Latoya, Rohan, John and the ladies at breakfast and front desk. The view of the cruise ships coming and going added an almost romantic touch. I didn’t go sea bathing but the beach is beautiful and well kept, and you can catch a beautiful sunset from the beach. The bar is well stocked though I don’t partake much, and the food options at the bar were delicious!! Those wings and shrimp tacos; chef’s kiss. I opted for breakfast included and it was pretty good; a well rounded selection. The dinner menu could have been more diverse but it’ll do.

More than a few times I witnessed the staff openly bickering. I understand these things happen but it was worrisome to see some so disgruntled.

Holland House is right in the center of town. It has the beach right out back. You can access buses and taxis without any issue. The staff are absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. We have been staying here for a number of years now because of the staff.

The rules changed around Service charge you will see on your restaurant or bar bill. We did not learn this until our last day and were horrified to find out it did not go to the servers. We always tip up in addition to the Service charge, but as an addition not as their ONLY tip. What are we being charged for if the Service charge is not going to the wait staff???? This practice needs to stop.

Superb location right in the heart of Philipsburg, easy for us to get around and catch a bus anywhere on Back Street. I would recommend this hotel and wish we could stay longer. However, our room didnt have self-catering facilities which would have made our stay even more perfect. The shower, size of the bed and balcony over looking the ocean view was divine. A special note about the staff, the Guyanese bell man was so helpful checking in on us, the check-in desk staff were also helpful with arranging food deliveries. We ate at the restaurant and the food was amazing, not too hot even though it says spicy on the menu, if you like your pepper. The music in the bar lounge was a vibe with some unique south African house mix.

- Located right on the strip of shops in Sint Maarten. - Good breakfast - nice restaurant on site for evening with good vibes - staff all very friendly and welcoming, Diana on front desk and the restaurant staff for dinner, Antonine and Joyan. - Diana on the front desk was very welcoming and was an excellent member of staff to meet on arrival.

- parking is $15 charge per night. This charge isn’t mentioned on Booking.com. Additionally, the car park was situated a block away. However, Diana on the front desk did go above and beyond in other ways, and as a result, we weren’t annoyed/worried about the parking charge, thanks to her kindness.

This hotel is located right in the middle of the shopping area of Philipsburg just across the boardwalk from a beautiful beach on a bay with very calm turquoise water. The area is lively during the day but very quiet at night after the cruise ships leave. The downside of that is many restaurants are closed for dinner. The rooms are large and comfortable with spacious balconies. The restaurant has very good food. I really commend the staff who are excellent in every area, friendly and efficient. This is a great day for a relaxing vacation.

I have no complaints. If you are looking for nightlife, you will probably be happier in a big resort.

This hotel was amazing. I was a little skeptical because photos made it seem a little dated, but it was quite the opposite. In fact, it was the best hotel we saw in that area. It felt very Casablanca, the food was good, the staff were generally friendly and courteous.The beach!!!! The beach was so big and beautiful, enough space for everyone. There were a lot of restaurants and pharmacies around and luxury stores to shop at. Don't hesitate, book this hotel now!

There were a lot of solicitors at the beach selling massages, so it got annoying after a while, because they can be quite pushy and you're trying to relax. But if you keep insisting NO, they'll leave you alone. Another thing I didn't like was that everywhere in that area closed early (around 6ish), so the place gets a bit dead in that particular area, but there are fun spots no more than 20 minutes away.
