Our stay was perfect restaurant all around breakfast in the lobby couldn’t ask for better location and the Hospitality was excellent the treatment we received was professional and they were very courteous. Yes most definite my place to stay on our return very soon.i most definitely recommend this hotel. And by the way the view front our room and living room was breath taking.

I CANNOT understand the low B.C rating for this excellent property !! It is right on the beach overlooking the beach, bay, the cruise ships and Statia. It is imaculately clean with excellent maid service daily. I have a spacious apartment, well designed, comfortably & tastefully furnished with full kitchen at about 1/4 the cost of some island resort. Quiet. The "board walk" in front is deserted after dark. The checkin was speedy, the reception is polite and very helpful. The bathroom is large, the shower huge with lots of hot water. Beds are large and very comfy. ACs in Living room and in bed room very effective, and function event when the apt is unoccupied. They drove me to a laundry and picked up and returned my clean laundry. It is right at the center of the main drag with shops and restaurants surrounding. There is a full service hotel virtually next door with restaurant & bar. The beach in front is beautiful, clean, not too crowded, with all facilities. Near the dock for the ferry to St. Barth. I am so happy that for once I ignored the low rating and am staying here and not some overpriced noisy isolated resort.

Nothing not to like

There was no breakfast offered, which we knew about before hand, but they did brew some delicious coffee starting at 7 AM. The big plus was being right across from the beach and even my view from the back of the hotel offered a view from the balcony of both the ocean and the hills. It is also right next to a beautiful Catholic Church and hearing the choir practice was an event that brought good tears to my eyes. And I'm not even Catholic. And the Bold Buddha, right under the hotel and on the beach served THE BEST Coconut Shrimp.

I liked everything

Location was right in Philipsburg and close to everything. The office personnel were helpful with where to buy items and in getting an inexpensive taxi to the cruise terminal.

No coffee set up in the room. Yes, there was coffee in the "office" but I had to go back and forth down and upstairs (or elevator) to get it. No real milk/cream.

I liked the location ,the pictures were the same in real,the staff was helpful. The room was clean , I felt safe, and I would recommend anyone to stay there

No parking, but that's not the fault of the hotel

The staff are very nice and friendly,It's my 3rd time staying at horizon and it's always a pleasure to stay there.They always welcome you with open arms,that even when your leaving you feel like checking back in.The rooms are very clean and spacious,even during your stay every day they clean your room and give you fresh towels.The security who always there during my family and my stay,he always greet you with a smile,very helpful and friendly(as he said see you all next week)

Location in Philipsburg and the beach. the room had a full size coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and a nice dining/work table. the interior was updated and roomy.

The internet was very spotty and was totally out for most of one day. The TV is internet based, so hard to watch while freezing up and then jumping forward. The bed was small for two people and very firm.

The location was perfect, the room had a ocean view, was clean and staff were very accommodating. Definitely felt safe.

The refrigerator door handle was broken off and the wall light fixture was missing its cover, walls were visibly cracked, decor was dated.

Hotel needs an overhaul,looks a bit scruffy from outside

Close proximity to the beach. The kindness of the management and staff during our stay. The cleanliness of the room. Very close proximity to retail shopping and to church . the laid-back ambience of the island . What a great place to stay

only 2 channels on TV. But we were on vacation so not a big deal
