The staff at Hotel Asteria were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. Breakfast options were varied and the room was quiet and spacious with a large wardrobe, a small table with stools and even a kitchenette with a fridge and a stove. The bathroom was also spacious. The hotel is located in the centre of Ljubljana, only 10 mins. on foot from the central train and bus stations and also about 10 mins. from the central square. Several supermarkets (Lidl, Aldi, Mercator) are within easy reach.

The bathroom does not have any hooks or other kinds of hangers for towels, which is why we had to leave them either on the radiator or on the shower doors. Furthermore, the room was rather dark with only two small windows and there was only one free power outlet in the bedroom.

The location was very good, close to old town. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great and had a good selection of coffee. There was some whole wheat bread in the bread basket which was a really nice treat. We particularly liked the girl in the reception, she was super service minded, friendly and informative even though she seemed to be doing everything on her own.

No fridge in the room, and in the morning we could hear the bustling in the kitchen pretty clearly. There were cigarette smokers outside our room, so we couldn’t keep our window open. We would definitely go for a room on the top floor instead if we were to come back.

A very nice simple hotel very close to the train and coach station. It was also a very short walk to the center. It was quite basic in the room, but fine for a city hotel. The included breakfast was also very good with eggs to order and excellent coffee. Staff are friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check out an hour later than expected

The city location can be quite noisy, so not ideal for light sleepers. We had a ground floor room and the breakfast was served outside on the terrace. It got quite loud from about 6, with clanking of cutlery trays and then early risers chatting over their breakfasts.

Lovely hotel just a bit outside the centre. The staff were so friendly and gave lots of advice as to where and what to visit. Everything is very lovingly arranged! The room was comfortable and there is a nice area outside for breakfast or for a drink in the evening. The restaurant next door serves good food at reasonable prices.

The bathroom could use some modernisation, the shower didn't drain which meant the bathroom flooded after a shower and felt quite damp. The hotel is on quite a busy road next to a hospital so you can hear emergency vehicles - was great that there was air conditioning so we could sleep with closed windows.

We really enjoyed our stay at Boutique Hotel Asteria. It has a very authentic and homely feel, the whole vibe is very pink and like you are in someones house in a nice welcoming warm way. There are not many rooms so it's reasonably quiet and feels like a boutique experience. The staff are super friendly and answered all our questions and were always happy to help. The room itself was not huge but big enough for what we needed and I felt fair for the price we paid, it was clean, the beds were comfy and was very well heated in the cold winter! They play quite loud modern music by the reception area which is not for everyone but we couldn't hear it from our room unless we were super quiet and it didn't go on too late. Breakfast offered is good- there is a help yourself continental section and cereals and then they will ask if you want sausage, eggs or omlette- recommend the omlette! You also get offered tea/coffee and I enjoyed the coffee and never felt rushed at breakfast. The accomodation is about a 10-15 min walk from the main town and shops so not too far but there are a lot of hotels in the town itself if you wanted to be right in the middle. There is a huge Aldi a 3 min walk from the hotel which is super handy and the bus stop to get to Lake Bled is only a 5 min walk and highly recommend staying there or going on a day trip- super easy and the staff were happy to give us directions etc.

They play quite loud modern music by the reception area which is not for everyone but we couldn't hear it from our room unless we were super quiet and it didn't go on too late. Breakfast is 8am to 10am and we planned to go down at 9:30am on the first day but as the place is so small we were woken up around 8am with loud clashing, banging and chairs scraping on the floor where they are setting up and people are going for breakfast, so recommend just going early to make the most of your day otherwise you will be woken up anyway so keep this in mind- we didn't mind though and really enjoyed our stay

The staff was very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one. The breakfast service was excellent and I’m not sure what other reviewers are complaining about with the breakfast, we thought it was quite good and nice that it was complimentary! The rooms are a bit small but it was perfect for a short stay and nice and close to the bus station. They staff has really done a nice job with little touches to make the most out of the space.

The bathroom was a bit small, and there wasn’t much room at the sink, but that’s a small complaint. Overall this was a great stay and we’d happily stay here again.

The breakfast was good, and the location was fine. It was quiet overnight; the room was ok for me travelling on my own. For a capital city the price was reasonable.

The area where breakfast was taken was quite cramped and there was no juice (orange or other) offered at breakfast. On one morning the breakfast was about an hour late starting. Traffic started up around 7 o'clock, including emergency ambulances, with sirens blaring on route to the hospital which was a few hundred yards along the road. Having said that I would stay there again if I went back to Ljubljana.

The service standard shown by staff at Asteria is exemplary. the ladies go out of their way to make the visit pleasant. Liked having a separate shower to the toilet. works well for a couple. The decor is quaint. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was included and is fantastic. Proximity to train/bus station is ideal.

The distance to walk to "old town" was a bit farther than we expected. We probably would have gone out at night if we were closer.

Good location in terms of access to the rest of the city. Fantastic and friendly staff on the desk who wanted to go the extra mile

In quite a busy location next to a restaurant/pub and the particular room I was in was quite noisy. There was also a light outdoors and outside the room which leaked a lot of light into the room - might not be an issue for some but I struggle with light when sleeping

The decor of the hotel, the helpfulness and friendliness of the reception staff, good breakfasts didn't feel rushed. Pleasant surroundings. Close to bus and train station. Maca and Anna suggested places to visit, things to do, and where to eat. Not a massive hotel, which I liked.

My friends room had a leaky toilet which was a nuisance. Walking back from town was ok.
