The location is very beautiful. The staff are very polite and friendly. Breakfast was good. Bed was very comfy. The gas fire was lovely in the winter weather. Having a private jacuzzi is fantastic.

Considering that this room had the added features of fireplace and private spa bath, the room size was small. As a result the toilet and shower was not very comfortable. The spa bath took a very long time to heat up, I would have expected that it should have been switched on in advance to be ready for usage on check in. I would wish that the temperature would be set a bit higher than on 40 degrees for winter time.

Everything about our stay was INCREDIBLE. The location, the room, from first arrival until the last minute. We started our honeymoon here for 3 days and came back for our final night, and all i can say is that it was by far the best place we stayed in, and we did not want to leave. The staff were phenomenal, especially George and Paul and Dylan and everyone else. We were made to feel like old friends visiting, not guests. And would go out of there way to make our stay comfortable, (they did laundry in record time) and gave great advice on where to visit locally. Our rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The views wonderful and even the spa and massage very nice. We relaxed on the lawn, took a dip in the pools and dined like Kings and Queens. The quality, freshness and standard of food was second to none. Dylan the chef, is world class and incredibly talented, and would easily outdo michelin starred 5* restaurants from London. We travelled throughout South Africa and ate in some very well rated places, and none of the meals we had compared to the food at Vida Nova. Our room was also presented beautifully with a celebration for our honeymoon which was a joy.

The only negative we had, is that they didn't have a gym to use during our stay. For us, especially as the food was so delicious, would have made our stay 10/10 and maybe a hot tub available to use by the pool (not just for suites). But a gym would be a great addition and would certainly make us come back and stay for longer!

Staff were friendly, patient, helpful and accommodating. Could be the best group of staff I have ever encountered. The rooms are pleasant, clean and comfortable. I am an extremely picky eater, so I found the restaurant's limited dinner menu a bit of a challenge at first. But after making a small change to one of the dishes, I enjoyed a truly delicious dinner. The breakfast menu contained the typical options; I recommend the eggs benedict.

I found the mattress of my bed a bit too hard/firm to be truly comfortable. But it was not so bad that it will deter me from staying here again in future.

perfect location, lovely and tranquil, with beautiful views of the mountains, and lovely grounds. Away from the busy city of Cape Town, but within east reach, and with its own set of beautiful areas to discover also. staff were wonderful, attentive and engaging. Food at hotel was incredible, breakfast was included for our stay, and it was a perfect start to the day, and we certainly didn’t need any lunch! Dinners were equally as exquisite, beautiful presentation and excellent quality food. We would highly recommend and hope to return

Very good location in a quiet area, the place itself had everything we needed. We stayed there for 2 weeks and during all this time the staff was super attentive to us and very friendly and helpful. All the food in restaurant was superb. If I good give this place 6 stars, I would. King George and Ant made our stay in Vida Nova extra special.

Pool beautifully clean and garden lounging area lovely. Private 'pods' for dinner and room service on deck lovely touches.

Staff not always very responsive to requests, Some things in the room didn't operate satisfatorily, ie the sliding door couldn't be opened, the lights control was iritating, the shower flooded the room when used - the room not the bathroom as it was in the room. Dinner menu never varied.

The room was spacious and well equipped. Everything was crisp and clean and we really enjoyed sleeping in the very comfortable bed. Our view of the garden and pool was spectacular We had a beautifully presented breakfast included in our stay. Lovely stay. We will have to come back for longer!

For an upmarket place, the chipped mugs in the room was a bit disappointing, We had to ask for coffee and milk, as the container in the room had not been filled. Not a serious problem, as it was sorted out very promptly by the most amazing staff!

Was nice and cosy, bathroom we're clean, water pressure was good. Breakfast was outstanding, but should consider putting coffee on the menu, as I had to pay for mine, staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly.

The floors, when walking on it, it made like a sticky noise.. inroom beverage, had a coffee press, which was ok, but when wanting another cup, it was an inconvenience to clean. The noise from other guest, talking loud early hours of the morning..

We stayed for one night - the primary objective was to relax and not have to leave the property. We had a 60 min couple's massage - the spa staff went out of their way to organise this as they do not usually have two masseuses working on a Sunday. We enjoyed books by the pool. Comfy sunbeds and peaceful garden to sit in. Dinner was good, and a nice wine list. Comfortable and large rooms with a nice terrace overlooking the mountains.

Great place for any thing and everything. Very helpful and friendly staff. Amazing food! Room spacious, clean. Bed very comfy. Quiet, peaceful, but still close to center of Cape Town. Garden perfect for sunbath, as sun is on that side whole day. Everything we asked for was met. Late checkout, laundry, heater for winter, breakfast in room for day u feel down. Just a wonderful place to stay. Shower could have a better preasure and it would be amazing if swimming pool was heated for winter months. But it's not a minus, in any way
