Beautiful big room with gorgeous view of the little lake and mountains from the balcony. Lovely large bathroom and walk-in shower. Comfortable double bed with super bedding and electric blankets. The kitchen had all the necessary items and appliances one needed. A tiny electric heater was supplied.

The tiled flooring made the room very cold so a carpet would have helped. Although breakfast was included - it is from the a la carte menu and does not change.

We had the best unit with the view of the mountain and the lake, with the waterfall next to us. This resort is excellent value for money, with magnificent views, clean, modern interior and attention to detail (the outside light by the braai wasn't working we didn't report it, but by end of the first day they replaced it). The cleaning staff are very professional and friendly, and the receptionist was very accommodating in my request. The property is very accessible for those with mobility issues and perfect for walks and hikes. Can highly recommend this resort and its restaurant, it is a definite favourite we will be sure to return to. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Chairs outside were a bit uncomfortable but that is really a minor thing, compared to all the other great things about our unit

The view over the lake is quite something, and it is lovely to listen to the birds and frogs at night. The room is spacious, very clean, and fairly well equipped (see comment below). The grounds are well kept, with plenty of places to walk and relax.

There is no hairdryer and no adapter plug for the large 2-prong plugs; they could warn you to bring your own. They can consider putting monkey screens on some windows, so you can let some fresh air in without worrying about the local wildlife inviting themselves for dinner.

Exceptional views. Unit was very large and equipped with everything we needed. A huge bonus is that rooms are cleaned daily. Horses, zebra and peacocks roaming around on the property was pretty cool. My little one had a blast in the pool and play area (the trampoline was her favorite). The staff went out their way to add a cot in the room so my baby can sleep safely. The restaurant was awesome, we recommend the pulled pork pizza which was the best we have had. All in all a lovely holiday at this great resort. So much to do for adults and kiddies alike.

The beds were a little bit hard and uncomfortable. The shower /bath is quite small. But that's just nit picking.

The log cabin exceeded my expectations. Loved the setting and design 👌🏼, not forgetting the colour scheme. Truly makes all the difference. Kitchen had all utensils needed with great quality appliances. The facilities were great! View was exceptional. Staff was welcoming and friendly 😊 Loved the horses! 🐎

1. The drainage of water in the shower was problematic, resulting in the water overflowing. 2. Would be great if there was 1 heated pool that could be utilised during the cold seasons. 3. The kitchen light was a bit faulty.

View is amazing. We asked for a Lakeview room which was really very nice and relaxing. Great bird watching. A bit dry now but when the rains comeI imagine it will be stunning.ò Room was very comfortable and clean. Including the dishes. Very high quality of cupboards etc. Room cleaned dsily which is really appreciated. Loved the shower. So spacious and plenty of hot water. Would appreciate a shower caddy rather than using the window ledge for soap, etc. We really enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. Good menu. The resort is within a few kilometers of all the tourist spots and activities but lots to do at the resort also. We did not ride but the horses wander around freely and come up to you. Lovely hiking trails. Will go back

The generator did not come on in the morning and the gas stove could not be lit with matches. The mattress was too hard for me but my husband was comfortable on it. Breakfast could really be improved. While loadshedding was an issue, we did get the omelets but not the egg white only we asked for. The toast had to be repeatedly asked for and then it was just a slice each and toasted only on one side. That put us off from eating at the restaurant again. Also had a bit of difficulty locking and unlocking the door. Reception Staff could know a little more about surrounding areas of interest.

Beautiful place. Room was spotless. Food at the restaurant was great and their service was excellent. It is a nice place if you want to do nothing but relax.

Tea/Coffee only provided on the first day upon arrival. Bearing in mind that there is not a shop on the property, you should advise guests when they book about this. Also advise that soaps are not provided throughout the stay, although that was not a problem for us. Not really much to do. The staff do not take the initiative to advise of what may interest couples in the area. The "lake" looked uncared for.

I live in the UK and came to visit with my family here. The last time I visited Dragons was in 2010 as a child and I am so happy that the resort has maintained its standards since then. The unit that we stayed in was extremely spacious, a lot more spacious than we expected from the pictures. The kitchen was amazing, fully equipped with everything you need. I will definitely visit here again on holiday again. The property was quite great value for money and exceeded our expectations. We also enjoyed the restaurant, had a wide variety of options to choose from and the prices were not that bad. The beds were also very comfortable, especially the pillows.

Only thing I would suggest is perhaps having a shower fitted, although just a personal preference. There was an overhead shower fitted in the bath downstairs and a bath upstairs, but to me would be nice to have a shower.

The restaurant's food is always amazing. The room and bed were great and there were amazing views all around! You're also right in the center of all the activities in the area. On top of it all, the staff are exceptional.

The extreme amount of load shedding the area has to endure. On our last night, the power was off for around 5-6 hours. If we count the 2 load shedding sessions during the day, that's 10-12 hours of loadshedding. Since we are in the middle of the mountains, this means loadshedding = pitch black nights.
