Everything from reception to stay... Stay was awesome.

Stairs to room .. Would appreciate kettle in room for coffee. Towels,, didn't bring that along

The location, sunrise, kitchen and the view was great !!!

I was there for 2 nights. First night I didn't sleep because the owner's son and his girlfriend came in late to party....she got very drunk and was screaming until 4h a.m. Running in the hallway we're all guests were trying to sleep, and laughing, screaming & talking loud near the pool table and bar area. The door was open between so we heard her/them all night. Terrible when no one is there to tell them to quiet down. She/ they are not guests so they should of keep it down or get out of there. Hard for us to get up early to go surfing and enjoy our day when we haven't slept. The second night was perfect & quiet. Everyone was quiet !!!!

We LOVED our stay at Island Vibe Jeffreys Bay over New Year - it’s paradise! The views of the beach from all over the property are spectacular, and it was so nice to enjoy drinks while overlooking the main beach. We loved the comfort of not needing to leave the property, as everything we needed was right there! Good people, good views, good food—everything contributed to the LEKKER vibe! Can’t wait to visit again :)

The kitchen (dishes) wasn’t the cleanest, but that’s to be expected when sharing the space with other travellers :)

Everything was grate we got there we were shown al that you can do and what to do the staff was very helpful with everything and the booking in was do swiftly and the staff showed us where everything was and our rooms was very comfy the food also was grate and very good service and everyone was very friendly.

There is nothing U can not like it's a great place to stay and everything is close.

Super friendly staff! Really nice vibes. Stayed for a week and half just vibing. Good food at the bar (especially if Taffy is cooking!) Right near the beach, surf lessons provided (350 for 2 hours) Offers other activities too like sandboarding, waterfall and to tsitsikamma, bunjee jump etc.

Good views in the kitchen overlooking the beach but a bit of a pain having to walk all the way downstairs every time you want to use the kitchen Would recommend curtains on the dorm beds

I stayed here for 2 weeks back in October. It was really nice. The employees are really friendly, they take good care of you, they make sure there is always something to do. I wanted to do a day trip during my stay and they fixed everything for me. It was a lot of fun and made many friends during my stay. Highly recommend to stay here when you’re going to South Africa!

Excellent sea views from the main building and the large balcony and lounge area of the annex. Both the main building and the annex is on a little hill above the beach, with no other buildings in front. Location of our room in a luxurious spacious separate house, with parking outside the door in a safe yard, with security fences and lighting. Quiet of the annex location. Personal attention and care for our comfort and wellbeing by Charmaine There are very attractive backpacker rooms, small dorms and rustic wooden huts with own balconies, eminently suitable for young travellers. Island Vibe is just a short walk from the factory shops of surfing and beach apparel, for which Jeffrey's Bay is famous. The price for a 3-day weekend was also the cheapest in J-Bay in Late September 2023. Good value!

The main building was under repair and extension, with building material everywhere, but facilities will certainly be better when finished. The main building is on a steep slope, with several stairs to be negotiated to get to the rooms, which might be unsuitable for older guests or somewhat handicapped.

Me and my 4 friends arrived at the hostel and could not have been happier to see that the hostel was just as described and showed on the online website (and even better). It was directly on the beach, beautifully decorated, and exactly the island/surfer vibe that we hoped for. Even though we stayed in an off-season time, the staff members were kind and fun to be around so they made the stay into a social experience. Also, there was some renovation, but somehow it did not bother us, because the view from the hostel was so incredibly nice that it did not matter. We extended our stay because we simply did not want to leave after two night. I only wish we could have stayed longer but I am sure that we will come back :).

Awesome hostel with sea view and awesome sunsets. The hostel is pretty large and provides parking, a big community space with a bar and a big kitchen. The hostel provides surfing lessons which start directly from the hostel which is super convenient. Unfortunately our instructor was hungover from the party the night before hosted by the hostel which meant our lesson wasn’t great.

Despite enjoying a good party myself, the hostel hosts party events at their own bar which can jeopardise your surfing lesson the following day if your instructor joins. ;-)

We loved Island Vibe and Jeffery's Bay - Traveled with my 2 sons and my husband all surf. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, and the location, the people were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a great place to hang out - very fun and welcoming. We ate several meals and all were extremely good. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
