The location of the guest house was excellent with numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance. The nearest mall/shopping centre is the splendid Campus Square which is a short walking distance from the guest house. I normally used the Uber extensively to get around as it is cheap and convenient.The rooms are ensuite with air-conditioning and are equipped with a fridge, TV, microwave oven, cutlery and crockery. The furniture is of good quality. Laundry services are provided by the guest house at an additional charge. Breakfast at the property is complimentary and is served at the restaurant across the road. I normally do not take breakfast in the mornings except occasionally. The quality of breakfast at the restaurant was very good and I always had the cheese and mushroom omelette served with toast and condiments, coffee and juice. The staff at the restaurant and the guest house are polite and helpful and take their responsibilities seriously. The property promptly responds to complaints made by the guests and do their best to rectify the problem. On the whole I had a good stay.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially the night shift guy, Peter. He stood with us while we waited for ubers and made sure to ask if we were okay if we were going out for a walk. Rooms were very neat and clean. Beds were comfortable. There was ample place to sit and the doors that opened into the room were awesome. Breakfast just up the road was fantastic as well Great cottage, would DEFINITELY stay again!!

There was no door to separate the bathroom which was a little weird as I was with a friend, not a partner. But the toilet is around the corner, just not alot of privacy Could improve on the lighting in the room, light fittings were too low and bathroom was a bit dark. But all in all, manageable and pleasant stay

The suite was lovely, loved the lil patio outside our room. Everything was just aesthetically pleasing.

1. Water outage, unfortunately we didn't even have bottled water to drink. 2. Damping of water in the bathroom, couldn't tell where the leakage was coming from. 3. Not enough towels, we had to share a towel 4. Wasn't informed during check-in that breakfast will be served at a café up the road till 11:00am only knew when we asked about it seeing that it was now almost time to check-out, such information is vital cause we now had to rush to the café to grab a quick bite.

Breakfast was perfect, we choose what we want to eat. The rooms were cleaned. There was an iron and the ironing board in each room. There was a fridge if you want to eat or drink cold food or if you want to drink or eat warm food there was a microwave and a kettle. Water was also hot .There was nothing like bathing on cold water. The staff were friendly enough that they’ve phoned when we left behinds the headphones

Shortage of water especially during the evening.

Firstly, the staff were fantastic! Very respectful and always willing to help. My space was always cleaned whenever I requested it to be. My son came to visit during my stay and was given a room right next to mine. No quibbles. I enjoyed having breakfast at De La Creme. Lovely staff there.

The room was a little too dark for me but that was sorted out reasonably quickly and there was an issue with privacy but that was dealt with satisfactorily with the addition of a lace curtain

The place is so beautiful,the rooms are clean and the staff is amazing. They're so friendly, understanding and always available to help. I highly recommend the place,good value for money.

The restaurant staff where we had our breakfast is not welcoming at all. I didn't even enjoy the breakfast because they were standing and watching us while we were eating and it was so uncomfortable because we could actually see that they're talking about us🤦‍♂️

We loved the receptionist Gift, he was very friendly, so welcoming and treated us very well until the very end of our stay, showed us into our room and set the air-con for us and he let us know if we needed anything we can let him know. My partner and I also enjoyed the fact that the entire room was spacious, warm (loved the electric-blankets) and very comfortable at the same time, it felt like a home away from home. We loved the little patio outside. Loved the living room area too. Breakfast was good, but the beacon was a little to Hard it was more like biltong than beacon. The restaurant was amazing, quite and warm and the staff were friendly too. Location was super amazing, Melville has such an amazing ambiance and great vibe. For my partner and I to get to experience 7th street again after many years, it felt so blissful and it evoked past memories and so the nostalgia really had us. What a wonderful experience it was! :)

That there was no fire place in our room as seen in the pictures. The entrance door to our room did not look quite secure as the handle looked broken, but the butler gates helped us feel more at ease. Also disappointed about the dust, please can the side tables, the pictures on the walls and the window frames get dusted and properly cleaned next time. Also sad that there were not enough twin plugs, and the headboard covers looked quite old and starting to peel off. Chairs outside at the patio need cushions as they all rusted. The was no cloth to wipe with in the kitchen, please also add more utensils. Bathroom needed more towels as there was just one only.

The room was very spacious with simple, beautiful designs. Liked the idea of heading out to the recommended restaurant for breakfast option available to guest and it was a walking distance.

Staff was suppose to come connect the TV and provide an extra mug. After she checked us in, she might have forgotten to come back for those but than again wasn't much of an issue coz we were there for a night. The room behind ours was a little bit loud, not sure when they stopped that night. Not sure about the noise regulations of the place.

Saffron never dissapoint us ,though I always prefer to stay @ roon 3 ,this time it was seemly occupied but the 2 rooms given were no bad. Blankets,electric blankets hot water, kettle,microwave everything 5 starts

The area( both sides of the road) are certainly dark at night,better illumination of the area is needed To open the gate you have to call receptionist to open it x you???, solution will be to provide a gate remote control that everyone can use. In general very 👍

The room was clean, with kitchenette which allowed me to make my own dinner. A combination of electric underblanket and an air-condition kept me warm. The android tv helped me to easily watch my series and work on the tv. There was a rechargeable light to keep me going during load shedding. The breakfast is served at a classy restaurant just across the road.

I honestly didn't like the fact that I had to leave the place and go home.
