Hotel is situated in the empty city center. Quite quiet localization but as the hotel staff informed us it is not a safe area. View from 22 floor or the roof was nice. Room was clean and nice, fitness center also. Breakfast and dinner were tasty with variety of dishes.

It is hard for Europeans to stay in a place where walking around “is not recommended”. However, it is a problem of Johannesburg and whole South Africa, not the hotel alone.

I always stay at at Anew Because Parkington when I’m in Johannesburg. It’s close to the office and is a comfy stay. It’s getting dated and it’s infrastructure isn’t the best but everything works OK. Will be back on my next visit.

The suite was very nice and spacious and very comfortable and clean

The food at the restaurant wasn't nice at all, we ordered starter and mains at the same time and asked that they only start preparing the mains when they bring the starters, so when the starters arrived, i remembered that the waiter didn't ask me how I like my steak to be done, and the waiter told me that they already done with my mains. I didn't wanna course drama, so I just said it's okay. I was very disappointed when the steak that I've been craving for so long came very very well done, so dry I couldn't eat it. So that was literally a 2/10 for me😕

The front staff are phenomenal. Especially Ms Ntombi who was so caring. After she allowed my young son and I to leave our bags at reception upon checkout because I had to take him to see a specialist. Upon our return she enquired if everything went well with the Dr, if my son is OK and that made all the difference after a long day! The room itself is very clean, spacious and very comfortable. You'd think because it's in the city it would be noisy but it wasn't

The fridge was not very clean or strong. We were by elevator so it was a bit noisy at first, but OK after awhile. It could use modernized upgrade with furniture, curtains, just aesthetically

The staff was super friendly and the location and view of the hotel was awesome. Everything was amazing despite the Johannesburg water crisis. The hotel really went out of their way to make us feel at home and safe.

The shuttle service driver had a bit of an attitude when He had to pick us up but everyone els including the manager made sure we got what we wanted and paid for. The management around the water crisis needs to be reviewed.

The staff was great, outside the compound the area is a bit on the high-risk look out as you ran into potential robbery from those disenfranchised folks looking for survival

I forget my phone at the gym, and on realizing it went back to retrieve it , unfortunately some young guys were there before I got back. My phone was taken . attempt to have the hotel manager run the CCTV was told it was against south Africa laws to have video at the Gym and those places in the surrounding were for the outside perimeter of the building...Phone never returned.

I didn't actually end up staying here; the hotel manager ended up taking care of me since there was an event going on, and the hotel would've been quite noisy. She booked me into a different hotel and took care of me the entire way, transporting me and my bags in the hotel shuttle. Unfortunate I couldn't stay there, since the staff seemed super accommodating, but the substitute hotel was okay. I'm not rating this for that, though.

Well I did not like anything about your breakfast to be honest but they just lady who works there in the hotel she is very transparent and she calls on her way to make the customers feel welcome and always check on a customer if they're still happy Ntombizodwa Sithole Guest Service Manager. She is doing a great job in that hotel and she's very good in marketing the hotel to the guest I would really give this lady a five-star I did not get a chance to say goodbye to her or give her anything but she is very kind down-to-earth

Too much noise

It was a nice hotel. The staff were amazing! Very warm, welcoming, and helpful. The food was good and very affordable. The catering staff were very accommodating.

I think the surrounding area wasn't so nice, but I guess there is little you can do about that. The exterior of the hotel needs renovating.

The mood and vibe that the hotel expels is unique. I enjoyed how cozy the room were, the view of the pool and how intoxicating it was to be part of the hotel customer base for a weekend. It is definitely an experience worth living again.

The closing time of the hotel bar needs to be extended as it is running until 10pm only . Since the dinner goes until 10pm, it isn’t strategic to have a stunning bar at the hotel closing that earlier.
