Breathtaking accommodation and views. The staff were very friendly and attentive..there was nothing that was a problem for them The cave is gorgeous, it's perfect for a romantic getaway The food was really good and a big selection of items on the menu, the bar was well stocked and the facilities were great. We went quad biking which is a definite must when you are there...so much fun Treated myself for a full body massage and it was one of the best I have ever had... The patio area is great in the morning with a cup of coffee and watching the birds catch their breakfast The road leading to the accommodation is a bit of a slog and bumpy but it's well worth the 44kms....I would definitely go in a car with a bit more oomph to get up some of the hills and so that you stuck in sand in some areas.. We did have some crickets on steroids come visit us in the cave but they are harmless and we just put them back outside

An extraordinary and unique hotel nestled in the mountains of Cederberg, surrounded by stunning stone formations and offering surreal stargazing at night. We enjoyed a cozy dinner by the fireplace and embarked on a morning safari, making the experience truly unforgettable. Situated in the heart of a remote nature reserve, the hotel provides a surprising level of comfort. It is, without a doubt, one of the most remarkable places we’ve ever stayed.

We stayed in the cave room, which is admittedly on the smaller side, but still charming and cozy. The room featured a lovely terrace, perfect for taking in the breathtaking surroundings.

Serene, incredible setting. Landscapes and stars were amazing. I stayed in a hut which was lovely and seemed more private than the "cave" rooms. A long trail run in the evening was perfect. Staff was friendly, food was nice. I wish I could have arranged a Stars Suite during this stay... I'll do that next time!

Pool was a bit small, so made it a bit difficult to enjoy with family already using the space most of the day. To be fair, it IS a desert like environment so any place for a quick plunge is amazing.. and later I did learn there was another pool somewhere else of the property.

The place is in a breathtaking location! A mix of Fynbos/Karoo and you can even hear the nightjars in the evening calling from the rocks above the lodge and during the day the Bonteboks and Rock Hyrax were very close. The food was truly exceptional and the staff is so friendly and does really want to make you happy! It was full moon so it was a but unfortunate as there is no light pollution and star gazing must be amazing in this place. Nothing to complain at all! We definitely will book this beautiful place again

Such a great stay, Kagga Kamma is an hour off grid so if you are expecting modern luxury it may not be for you but if you want a really genuine experience in a stunning resort set in the wilderness then I would highly recommend. Staff were great, food was all delicious and we had great excursions seeing cave paintings and learning about the San people as well as spotting lots of local wild life.

Staff were all very welcoming, we got chased by Paulie the ostrich on the drive in which was great fun.

Unique location, the view. Stuff are very helpful and friendly. They do go all the way to make your stay comfortable. Both tour guides Hein & Jaco were exceptionally helpful and highly knowledgeable. They made our stay truly unforgettable! Receptionist Annestine was also very kind and helpful. Same we ould say about waitresses Marsha-Lena. She was highly professional, accommodating and gave 200% to make our visits with highly positive experience. Honestly, besides location, the stuff are a true gem at Kagga Kamma!

This is a private game reserve with all the bonuses that come with that. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are very good. We booked a sundown tour and a trip the see the petroglyphs which were hosted by a knowledgeable guide.

The road to the park is 45 km of gravel, which makes calculating arrival time difficult when one is not aware (like us). Also, the roads in the park are divided into driveable and 4x4, but basically our road-going rental was not suited for any of the park roads. So we booked a tour instead.

The view is great! I think is the best about the place. The staff amazing as usual in South Africa, they never disappoint. The restaurant is also very good, great diner, great breakfast!

The rooms are a bit claustrophobic, with not much even head space. I understand the proposal, but since those rooms were not really scouted on the rock, there is not much reason for them to be so low! The last 15km to get there is also very sandy, what makes a motorcycle arrival a bit painful, since you are coming tired from a long day ride. Didn’t see much reason for the price they charge. Too expensive that doesn’t justify with what you get!

This is an absolutely incredible, unique experience. The drive to Kagga Kamma takes a while and the road, while completely passable even in a small car, does take a lot of time!! The scenery on the way there though is stunning and there are so many photo opportunities. The view from the caves/huts is equally amazing. The food is great, the customer service is exemplary, the rooms are clean and have everything you need. Eating dinner around the fire was really atmospheric, and the stargazing tour was brilliant.

The only thing I would change is chairs in the boma as they feel a little tired and some were a little worn. It's a shame you can see cars in the carpark from some of the caves, and air conditioning units at the back of other caves from others, but there's not much you can do about that! Everything else is beyond perfect - we love this place so much.
