Great place to stay in Plett. François and his wife are just the loveliest hosts. The room we stayed was the green one; it was spacious, with a large and clean bathroom and a comfortable bed. It should have great views of the bay, although it was foggy when we were there. For the night, you can park inside the gate, which is very safe. Finally, the breakfast was fantastic, one of the best we had in our trip. The outside area is also great for hanging around, we didn't enjoy much because it was foggy.

The guest house is very well located. The hosts were lovely and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfasts were amazing - and far exceeded our expectations. The bed was comfortable and the hosts have a very charming and loveable scottish terrier who won my heart!

The rooms are a little small and could do with an update, although they were clean and well presented. It would have been nice to have had a fridge in our room, although there was a communal fridge available. Unfortunately there was something in the room that triggered my asthma, so I did not sleep as well as I might have done, which is why we probably wouldn't stay there again..

Lovely room and very helpful hosts who took great care of us during our stay. The breakfasts are simply sensational and you certainly won't give hungry. There's also a separate kitchen/sitting area where you can use the microwave to heat up your own food if you wish. Location is a short walk from restaurants and shops.

Wifi connection not great, but it's a minor criticism and certainly doesn't affect the 10 rating.

Francois and Marinda were amazing hosts, welcoming us and offering advice and guidance on local beaches, restaurants etc. Property was very well located for Main St and would recommend car or Uber to beach, as distance is not great but hills are steep. Property was safe, clean, with a choice of breakfast offerings, the ‘Plankie’ was great ! Would happily return !

Francois and Marinda set a standard that must be difficult to emulate. They clearly love hosting each and every guest. The place is spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast was exquisite, with special touches each day. Added to that, there is also access to a guest kitchen with other special treats! As well as lots of activities a short drive in the local area, with there are many excellent restaurants in safe walkable distance. We really enjoyed our stay at Franmarel and would highly recommend it.

The room was well equipped. Only the bathroom is very small but still o. k. for one person. Therefore the price is a bit high in comparrison to other places. The view over Plettenberg Bay is great. Breakfast is fantastic!! The homemade platter was really great. Thank you for all the extras you offered like muffins and wishes for a save journey when I left.

This was by far our best stay in South Africa. Not only the view from the terrace and our room was beautiful, but especially the hosts are lovely, welcoming and help you out with whatever you need. They gave us great recommendations which never disappointed. They put a lot of effort in small details, which made our stay so comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievable and cared for. Overall a 10 out of 10 and we will definitely come back.

The location was just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Lots of restaurants to choose from. There was a partially restricted view of the mountains and sea, partially blocked by a house that was illegally built in front of Franmarel. The central and point beach were a few minutes drive to reach. We stayed for 6 nights, but felt we had only scratched the surface of all that was on offer in "Plett". Breakfast was incredibly well planned and served. A different starter was offered each day. Plenty to choose from. Francois and Marinda are the nicest of people, so friendly and helpful. We can only offer thanks to them both for a great stay.

The bed in our room was very noisy when you turned over during the night, so probably need a little bit of TLC.

the place is very nice and in great location, Françoise the host is super nice and very helpful. he wakes up at 6am and prepare fresh and delicious breakfast. then all the gust sit together and eat it.

this is not a place if you look for a lot of privacy. there is a lot of interaction with the family and with other guests, this can be a bit too crowded sometimes. also the door and wall is made of glass and is located in front of the bed so also something it can feel like other people can see you or walk in while you are in the bed. I’m sure some people won’t mind it, but for us it was a bit too much.

SECOND TIME WE HAVE STAYED HERE. THE OWNERS COULD`NT BE MORE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. LOVELY OUTDOOR SITTING AREA. BREAKFAST EXCEPTIONAL. PROPERTY IN VERY SAFE AREA WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF MAIN STREET AND RESTAURANTS. DON`T HESITATE TO BOOK HERE.
