Lovely hotel with very friendly staff, beautiful grounds and rooms and very good breakfast.

We asked for a room in quiet area and was in Manor house on the verandah next to the bar area and adjacent to the breakfast room. We were woken very early on Sunday morning by noise from the breakfast room and staff making a noise whilst moving furniture around adjacent to our room.

I want to especially commend Gaynor, who was at reception when we arrived. We had a difficult and over-long road journey and Gaynor, who could see how tired we were, went out of her way to see us settled into our rooms and for dinner. I was also very grateful for to the young man, whose name I unfortunately didn't get, for washing our car

We didn't like the chairs in the dining room. The strange arm rests seemed to cause us to feel "confined" I kept hitting my elbows on the upcurving arm rest. We had lunched at the hotel a few years ago and the quality of the menu didn't match our memories of a superb meal at that time.

Breakfast was excellent with good friendly service.

We were not impressed by the food at dinner time. One guest ordered prawns and was delivered a salad with no prawns. The fish dish main course with a citrus/bean sauce was not appetising. The bed wass too high for easy access by my wife and the bed was rather too narrow.

Everything! This is a beautiful property with spectacular rooms. Great service and very neat amenities. The rooms are spacious and luxurious.

All the staff were amazing. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Dining in the courtyard was just lovely. Gardens were really beautiful and well manicured. Outside areas to relax in were lovely and very peaceful. We stayed for a 2nd night and were upgraded to a beautiful room directly onto the large pool. Facial in the spa was amazing and so relaxing. Would definitely recommend this small hotel to others visiting Robertson. Recommend booking one of the large rooms.

The AC in our 1st room stopped working during the night and it was very hot, therefore difficult to sleep. It came on again in the morning.

Quaint Boutique hotel in very good location. with on site parking. Lovely outlook from the room and very conveniently situated pool. As they had their own restaurant meals were very excellent and very convenient not having to drive or find a suitable eatery

Lighting in the bedroom could have been better and the plugs need to be upgraded to more modern types with adequate two prong plug points fortunately I travel with an adaptor plug but that shouldn't be necessary. Maintenance checks need to be done more effectively. There was no water flow in the one basin

Lovely accommodation with great rooms opening up on to a balcony with access to a plunge pool. Extremely clean and comfortable (super comfy bed). Extra touch of complementary flowers and wine for my birthday were very much appreciated. The food in the restaurant was first class as was the service from all the staff. Gaynor was very helpful in recommending places to visit during our forthcoming trip to Hermanus. Would definitely recommend this little gem to anyone visiting the area.

Breakfast was standard but good, especially the eggs benedict, but the additional charge of R65 for orange juise seemed excessive measured against the room rate. The staff were extremely helpful and courtious at all times. The room and bathroom were immaculate.

The Christmas lunch/dinner at R780 (originally advertised at R750) was the reason for our booking at the hotel .What was to be a great treat, turned out to be a massive disappointment.. The starter of one queen prawn and small cold vegetable dish supplemented by bread spelt the start of what was to follow. A long black hair in my vegetables was off-putting. By contrast, the dinner /steaks the previous night before was much better value for money. We were not surprised to find that the restaurant was half empty. Sorry, we will definately not recommend Chrismas dinner at this hotel. We will not be back. Esdré Keller

Breakfast a treat as each person's main hot dish is made to order. All the luxury classics available. Supper is a fine dining affair. Small but well curated offer. Something to suit all tastes. Generous portions of lovely food well prepared. The bedroom was large and well-appointed. Exceeding the level of luxury one expects. Friendly attentive staff, providing personal service and attention to detail.

The margarita lacked crushed ice. Not a showstopper.

Beautiful, tranquil oasis in centre of Robertson. Perfect location from which to visit the many excellent surrounding wine farms. We were generously upgraded to a pool suite which was amazing, stepping into the lap pool for a swim from our private terrace. Lovely gardens and outside seating areas to enjoy. The staff were discreet yet friendly. We were spoilt for choice at breakfast, helping ourselves to a good selection at the continental breakfast counter as well as choosing a delicious cooked option from the menu. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening. The wine list showcased excellent wines of the area and our choices of pork belly and lamb shank were sublime. We enjoyed fabulous massages at the onsite spa by the lovely Amanda to round off our stay. We wished we could have stayed longer. A perfect choice, we will be back!

The rain shower head didn't offer even coverage and pressure. We did alert the team at check out.
