We came early at the B&B following a morning flight. Pieter was immediately helping us around and giving us tips on the visits and restaurants in Malaga. This B&B is one of the best in its kind with very pleasant and social host(s). Breakfast was fully home made and the ambiance is really cosy and warm. A refaire!

We didn't had luck with the weather but that was not up to the B&B. They really did all their best to create a nice stay despite the bad and rainy weather. All in all not possible to give a negative remard.

It‘s such a beautiful, cute place and definitely a secret spot. The location, owner, facilities and breakfast is all super b! We already look forward to come back soon! Each flat is really huge and has it‘s own terrace. The breakfast is self-made, fresh, healthy and you have everything you need. Pieter also prepared some gluten-free options for me which i really appreciated! There is enough space at the pool area and each unit has it‘s own pool towels. Also an own parking spot is dedicated per unit. Overall we were extremly happy to find this place.

Very nice property, surrounded by a wall so you have privacy. Nice, spacious and very clean rooms, very nice garden and pool. Pieter prepares excellent and varied breakfasts, perhaps the best we have ever had in a B&B. Pieter and Margot are very kind owners. We definitely recommend the accommodation.

It is necessary to predict almost exactly the time of arrival, which does not suit me on the holiday. But we agreed to call two hours earlier, so there was no problem, Pieter welcomed us.

Accommodation and facilities were of a high standard. Super friendly host and the most incredible breakfast. By the pool is an honesty bar which was super convenient and good value for money. Towels/pool towels provided. Beautiful grounds, well kept.

Casa Luz del Sur, a beautiful spot to relax. A lovingly restored finca, where it is easy to feel at home. A breakfast with lots of homemade delicacies. Casa Luz del Sur should be named "The leading B&B accommodation of the world" as this would be worthy of what we encountered here. The rooms are high quality and very tastefully decorated as well as extremely clean. The two owners, Margot & Pieter, take very good care of their guests and we felt very comfortable after only a short time. All in all: TOP and a stay is absolutely recommendable! Rosa and Michael

Pieter and Margot are the perfect hosts. Casa Luz del Sur was a wonderful end to our tour of Malaga and Cordoba province. The rooms are private, comfortable and spacious. The pool area is luxurious, with an honesty bar that reflects Pieter's twenty-six years as a bar owner in Holland. The breakfast is a plethora of locally sourced goodness, and raw ingredients are skilfully reappropriated daily to make it a zero waste kitchen. Everything at Casa Luz del Sur from the design, the interiors, the wines, the food, the recommendations are considered and exquisite. Alhaurin el Grande is a classic Spanish town with both a new and old part of town; it has a great range of restaurants and is not overly touristy. Treze was particularly exciting Spanish/contemporary tapas and sushi, and Casa la Abuela was great for classic Spanish Atun Rojo and Morcilla. The Mountains and landscape are sublime and it is a great base to explore Malaga. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Very beautiful and well maintained property with an amazing pool area. Best of all was the breakfast with a nice mix of local dishes and housemade treats. We could have spend much more time there!

Casa Luz del Sur is a lovely bed and breakfast, perfect when you just want to relax by the swimming pool and have a good night of sleep on a comfortable bed in the countryside! The host, Pieter, welcomed us (my wife and me) in the afternoon for the check-in, and while always around and ready to provide information on what to do in Alhaurín El Grande (ask for the list of restaurants!), is very discrete, polite and friendly. Our recently renovated room was beautifully decorated, with a large double bed and a modern bathroom (with a great shower!), and has a coffee and tea machine. The swimming pool is big enough for the five rooms of the B&B, with more than enough sunbeds that are far from each other for privacy. The "honesty bar", where guests can help themselves and register what they consume, is well-equipped with snacks (chips, cheese pate, olives, fuet...), beers, wines and liquors, and is adjacent to a cozy lounge by the swimming pool. The highlight of course is the breakfast: every morning, Pieter bakes different breads and cakes, which are available in the buffet that features also homemade jams, cheeses from the neighboring cheese producer, many different fruits, boiled eggs (and if you ask nicely Pieter will even make scrambled eggs!), coffee (espresso, latte, cappuccino...), orange juice, homemade smoothies - well, the list of products available for breakfast goes on and on, and they are all of excellent quality! We really loved it! We would definitely go back in the future!

There's nothing we did not like. We read a review that complained about the bathroom's light, which is not adequate for doing the makeup - with which my wife agrees. However, there was a makeup mirror in the bathroom, which can be taken to the desk next to the window in the room. So, that's not really an issue!

We absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect! The garden was beautiful, the room spacious, clean & nicely decorated. The breakfast is the best we have ever had fresh homemade and just so good! Pieter & Margot are amazing hosts. The location is also perfect, quiet and calm, but close to see the beautiful surroundings by car. We will definitely come back
