Casa Maroma is stunning and I would highly recommend - Amber and Jason have done a wonderful job of keeping it authentic yet also adding a comfortable homely feel to the property with all the facilities you need and great attention to detail. The rooftop terrace with honesty bar is a lovely touch and well worth spending some time on to take in the views. The location was perfect and only a 5 min walk to the main square. What made our stay even more special was Ambers help and knowledge of Competa and the surrounding area, nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her way to help us.

This B&B is centrally located in Cómpeta and is an absolute delight. A traditional house in Cómpeta with an interesting history. It is just around the corner from the main square, yet still on a quiet street. We felt very welcome and comfortable. We are grateful to Amber and Jason who are excellent hosts, helpful in every way, from their communication before you arrive giving clear instructions on parking via whatsapp, and throughout our stay, including assisting as needed with suitcases. More importantly, they are friendly and courteous hosts that take every opportunity to share information on restaurants, activities and features of the area. In great part they make the experience of Cómpeta complete and must be very proud of what they have created with Casa Maroma. The breakfast is excellent. Good home made selection every morning and very good coffee. Our room was clean, comfortable and restful, good linens, tv, and really all you need. The Casa has a cozy common living room with fire and a roof terrace filled with plants and a comfortable and relaxing lounge area. Amber and Jason shine through in the decoration of their Casa with a fusion of traditional Spanish, with tasteful modern features, local art, and warm beautiful touches of their native Cornwall. Can highly recommend this charming B&B. Would return to Cómpeta for the lovely and friendly energy of the village, and to their B&B Casa Maroma without hesitation.

From the moment we stepped in we were welcomed and knew it was somewhere special. Amber and Jason have made such a lovely job of renovating the property whilst keeping its local charm. We've had such a lovely stay rooms gorgeous and clean with our own private terrace but also access to two more communal terraces to relax in. The communal spaces are lovely too. Amber served our breakfast to our terrace each morning a 5 star service for a 5 star b & b. Location very central but set back enough from the hussle and bustle of the square to be relaxing and quiet. I'll definitely be back

A beautiful house in a beautiful village. Amber could not of been more helpful with getting there and advice whilst there. Her passion for her home and making sure her guest have a fantastic time shines through. The breakfast was fabulous each morning with beautiful views. Our room was just as you would want in a Spanish house. Amber and Jason have a real eye for detail and it shines throughout the house. We feel very lucky to have found Casa Maroma on booking.com.

We loved everything! Casa Marona is a rare find. Hosts Amber and Jason were incredibly friendly and informative. They gave us a warm welcome and provided so much information and recommendations to enhance our stay and our inward journey. Amber's communication prior to our arrival was most helpful. The location is perfect, close to the main square with several restaurants and bars. The place is a traditional Andalucia house which has been beautifully furnished in a perfect mix of traditional and contemporary style. Our room was beautiful and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was also the most wonderful roof terrace with comfortable loungers and sofas for watching the sunset. To top it all, our breakfast was amazing with a choice of several dishes. All in all this was a fantastic stay. We will certainly return again soon (for longer!)

Our room with a patio area was excellent, very comfortable and bright and airy. Breakfast was lovely and was even boxed up for an early start on a day trip to Malaga. Everything about our stay was perfect, shame there wasn’t a category for “above and beyond” which would be a 10 also, can’t thank Amber and Jason enough for all the information and all the effort they went to, to make everything run smoothly

Property both modern with rustic charm and with everything you need for your stay. Staff are very attentive, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area; giving a very personal service. The breakfast was fantastic especially the tortillas. The private terrace that we had and the communal roof top terraces were a great place to chill out and relax with a drink from the very reasonably priced bar. This boutique hotel is located in an excellent spot for visiting Competa;including its bars and restaurants. We’d like to thank Amber and Jason for an amazing stay at the start of our holiday in Spain.

Absolutely nothing negative to say about this property.

I had an accident just briefly before we arrived and therefore I was in a wheelchair most of the time. Even if the town is not made for it, Amber & Jason took so much effort to make the stay as comfy as possible. They even took me on the mountains, so I could see what I would have seen when I went hiking. The breakfast, the rooms, the terrace, the view, the neighbors, the restaurants - we just loved all of it! Thank you so much and we will come back if we can.

The people that complain about something in this accomodation would not be happy in paradise either :-)

We recently stayed at Casa Maroma when attending Competa’s Noche del Vino. The property is in a perfect location close to the main square providing easy access to the heart of this beautiful village. The communication prior to arrival was excellent, sharing directions to the property and convenient parking locations. On our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Amber and Jason who gave us a tour of the property and checked us into our rooms. The whole place is stunning with beautiful rooms, presented to a high standard and with a variety of comfortable indoor and outdoor communal areas. The freshly prepared breakfast in the morning was fantastic with a great menu choice. Nothing was too much trouble for Amber and Jason. We would highly recommend Casa Maroma and will definitely be back.

Nothing everything was perfect

All communications were prompt, clear and helpful. Directions to both parking and the property were excellent. We loved the welcome from our host. Amber made us feel at home straight away. The casa is lovely with fabulous communal areas including a rooftop bar with honesty bar. We loved our room with our own private terrace. Very comfortable bed. The shower was incredibly powerful with lots of hot water. Although we didn’t use it there was a little tea tray in the room. And water was left for us. The air conditioning was very welcome in what is a very hot summer. Amber kindly made our dinner reservation. We went to Cortijo Paco where we enjoyed great views, service and food. Breakfast was amazing. We could choose up to three options. Everything we had was fabulous and more than enough.

Wouldn’t say ‘didn’t like’ but a matter of preference. Would have preferred two large bath sheets. And the pillows were a little soft for us.
