Amazing views looking down on Frigiliana and the valley down to the sea. Stayed in an interesting, quirky and very unusual 'Hobbit house' but it had everything we needed. We stayed in December but heating did its job (as it got reasonably cool overnight). I would say you really need a car to stay here. Some excitingly steep ramps to get up to the parking!

It should be remembered that we stayed very much out of season and there were only a couple of other rooms/bungalows occupied. Breakfast was passable but minimal. They kept emailing us telling us the restaurant was shut on a Monday but we arrived on Wednesday evening and found it shut. It was also shut on the second night we were there but we think they said we could book dinner. Menu was not very inspiring so we ate in Frigiliana both nights (several good options). Probably very different in the summer.

The hotel is located on a hill, 15 min by car outside Frigiliana and is offering a stunning panorama over the town and sea. The room size is ok for 2 persons. Our room was #6 and from the comfort of the bed, we could enjoy the beautiful sunset and sunrise. The breakfast was pre-set but sufficient and good. On the hotel property, uphill the restaurant, is a ceremony venue very nice set-up.

The bathroom heater didn’t work. Small parking Was not allowed to eat on the terrace of the restaurant

The view is breathtaking. The houses are comfortable cosy and something special. The man who serves the breakfast is really nice and friendly. Breakfast consists of some fruit, fresh bread, plate of cheese and chorizo/jamon, coffee and some sort of eggs (fried, omelet), juice and water and some selection of honey an jam packages. It is close to Frigiliana where there are other restaurants and some shops. In the evening it turns into a fairy tale hill resort. Full of little lights and surrounded by the sounds of the hills. The little swimming pool is good enough for some freshening up and again with an astonishing view.

No parasol available at the terrace of the house. Because of the burning sun during august we were not able to sit outside on the terrace during the biggest part of the day. A bigger fridge would be better. Because the accommodation is far away from shops, drinks and snacks for a family do not fit in the small fridge.

Lovely location, view and food was excellent. Rooms very unique and have all the comforts you'd expect from any hotel. Our room was private and veranda not overlooked by any other rooms. We were overlooking the main road but there was very little traffic so noise wasnt an issue. The view from the bedroom and veranda was amazing. Friendly helpful staff we encountered from the cleaning staff, kithen staff, waiters and owner.

The only negative was that we arrived mid-day on a Sunday and there was no parking as the restaurant was busy with locals eating. This also led to a slight delay in check-in as staff were busy with the bar/restaurant area. However this would not put me off and I will most certainly be returning in the future. Also my partner is not keen on heights and the road up from the coast was a bit 'hairy' for him but I was loving the views from the passenger seat!

It had incredible views. The room was very cool and each place had its own patio. The food was good.

Communication was poor. There was no checkin info sent and no one there to greet us when we told them what time we’d be there. The waitress at the restaurant spent a lot of her time talking to one table and checked on us very little. Also, far from everything so once you’re there for the night, there is nothing to do and the restaurant doesn’t open until 7:30.

We had the “igloo” #100 at the top of the property. It was a breathtaking view of the valley and down to the sea!! There was everything we needed - lot of plug ins, coffee/tea pots, frig, extra blankets etc. We couldn’t use the outdoor space due to the rain. This unit is away from everything else and affords privacy and quiet but easy walk down to the restaurant. The bacon/egg breakfast was so yummy and the fire in the dining room made it cozy. The unit was of unique design with cool round window. Memorable property!

The TV was out at the time due to a storm.

The bespoke architecture set in and authentic hillside setting was a delight. The helpful and friendly staff were generous with their time and knowledge. Frigiliana a picturesque village with shops and restaurants was a 15 minute drive away. The views of the Vally with vineyards, shepherds working were very special.

If you arrive as I did on Monday evening the restaurant is closed, requiring a further journey for food.

My partner and I really loved our stay here. The views over Frigiliana and Nerja, and the surrounding mountains were absolutely stunning. Each room has a private terrace where it is perfect to sit and have a drink looking out at the view. The bed was also comfy, there is good air conditioning, and the included breakfast was a lovely touch. We could eat our breakfast on the terrace at the restaurant, again with a lovely view. We also used the pool, which was kept in excellent condition. We plan to go back again next summer!

I didn’t find the towels very soft, but honestly a very minor point. I really liked it here.

The hotel is very quaint and has lots of interesting paths to walk through. We stayed in bungalow 103 which was very spacious, clean & comfortable. The views from the room were spectacular. We had our evening meal in the hotels restaurant which was excellent. There waiter was very informative on telling us what the specials were, which we had Ox tail & Pork cheeks. Very tasty and tender. Our breakfast was also very good and we sat in a beautiful spot overlooking the mountain with the sunrise coming up. We would highly recommend this hotel and will hopefully return again soon 🤗

Nothing / everything was just perfect.....

The place was perfect - intimate, quiet, beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, friendly service. The swimming pool is available at any time - enjoy the view and enjoy life. Would definitely recommend to others, especially newlyweds

The way up is a serpentine. For those who are afraid of driving in the mountains, it is better not to choose this place. But when you get to your destination - it's worth it
